    The courthouse bolt! Interesting tidbit on this one - The last time this specific siren made any noise at all, it went off by malfunction and ran for over three hours continuously and didn’t stop until the power to the building was cut. It had been long silent up until then since this was a while after it was decommissioned & replaced by the Whelens if I remember correctly.
    It’s still up there on the building nowadays too, just long dead.

      @SirenTube I read about it ages ago but can’t find anything on it anymore unfortunately. The story stuck with me though. I would personally agree with you that it would probably start to lose pitch after hours of running like that.

      @SirenTube why a p-50 specifically?

    Looking at this video that is from the 70s, this was not taken on a Film camera like many news reports were at the time. Instead, this footage was taken on a very early 2-piece video camera that would've been state of the art technology at the time. The Green tint throughout the video is a common White Balance issue colour video cameras had back then as many people never really knew how to adjust the White Balance on old Vidicon Tube cameras.

    I noticed the other day when I was driving down Boeing Blvd, there appeared to be a new Sentry Siren, not sure what model, but it was painted blue and installed out in front of the Boeing building by the airport. A video of that one would be nice. I'd do it myself but I don't have the time to get out with work

    I believe this would be Federal Enterprises, as it was installed in April of 1954.

      Gotcha, i was judging it by the rotator box lol. Thanks!

      @@madisoncountysirens4295 be careful, this one doesn't have one of those federal enterprises rotators. It has one of the 'short rotators' which outlived the thinner federal enterprises ones
