I wonder how many viewers are too young to have recognized the "original" movie? I am so old, that I was in high school when it came to our small town. My buddy and I helped the theater promote the movie by putting a placard on my dog(who kind of looked like Ol' Yeller), and paraded him around town.
This was GREAT! Last year I re-watched several of the Disney classics- Pinocchio, Snow White, Cinderella, Bambi and Lady and the Tramp. These films are perfect in every way. Even 50+ years later, the original Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were on par with those classics. I cannot put into words why they were all so good, but when compared to modern Disney and this need to cater to "modern audiences", there is frankly NO comparison. And I am here to say that "representation" does not matter the way the masses suggest it does. As a little gay kid growing up in the 80s, I never saw "someone like me" represented in a Disney film, or most films for that matter. But that didn't mean I couldn't identify with characters, themes or struggles. It didn't mean that I didn't enjoy re-enacting certain Disney films with my best friend (who was a girl of course!) Despite the lack of "representation", I never felt like I was being shunned or frozen out. But today, the vast majority of leftists will literally boycott movies or other forms of entertainment if they don't see their specific demographic represented in a specific way. That is just insane to me. As an adult, I have since seen tons of movies/TV shows with a variety of LGBT themes/characters and so on. And I really don't identify with any of that, either! I used to get so annoyed in my 20s when people constantly assumed I watched/enjoyed Will and Grace. I never liked the show because I never identified with the characters, and always hated how stereotypical it was. I get that it was a huge success and had some merit- but that didn't mean it was meaningful for me just because I was supposedly "represented". I feel the same way about other LGBT themed films/TV. I find most of then to be pandering and presumptuous. I also hated having to explain to certain friends why I didn't want to watch RuPaul's Drag Race. The little I have seen of that show is like nails on a chalk board to me. And people think there is something wrong with me, or that I have some kind of inner hatred of myself because I am not entertained by it. And this is why modern films are suffering the way they are. It's all about catering to a specific demographic in a specific way and shunning everything else. It's never about universal themes/story, imagination or thoughtfulness.
I worked for a very big Airlines and we can say that what you think is not a prejudice. More true than not. My friend ,1 of the gay ones, said he did not like that stuff because he liked men. So men acting really feminine was not attractive to him. He said most women do not act that way. An exagarated feminine energy was a turn off for him. And some tried to hook up with me. I used to get so annoyed in my 20s when people constantly assumed I watched/enjoyed Will and Grace. I never liked the show because I never identified with the characters, and always hated how stereotypical it was. I get that it was a huge success and had some merit- but that didn't mean it was meaningful for me just because I was supposedly "represented". I feel the same way about other LGBT themed films/TV. I find most of then to be pandering and presumptuous. I also hated having to explain to certain friends why I didn't want to watch RuPaul's Drag Race. The little I have seen of that show is like nails on a chalk board to me. And people think there is something wrong with me, or that I have some kind of inner hatred of myself because I am not entertained by it. And this is why modern films are suffering the way they are. It's all about catering to a specific demographic in a specific way and shunning everything else. It's never about universal themes/story, imagination or thoughtfulness.

I worked for a very big Airlines and we can say that what you think is not a prejudice. More true than not.
My friend ,1 of the gay ones, said he did not like that stuff because he liked men. So men acting really feminine was not attractive to him. He said most women do not act that way. An exagarated feminine energy was a turn off for him.
And some tried to hook up with me. I get by the appeal when with a real guy. The communicatuon and libido are more in sync...but i am just straight.

They’re not sure how they connect with the audience so they do woke stuff, and it flops. And then when it does they are still not sure how. They need to remake Bambi. Already pretty progressive and anti-mankind. Fits the zeitgeist...they could really hit hard that the hunters are all white, cis, and male. And there will be one intersectional human who gets it and instead begins to defend the animals.

Great skit! Just one correction (though I know it’s for a joke, so forgive if I’m taking it too seriously). While it was directed and produced by Disney, the Cinderella with Brandy is an adaptation of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical, not a live action remake of the cartoon.
