his final ascension art alone is worth having him
Since Emiya Assassin in anime is a mage killer so i wish they give him a buff where his attack ( at least np ) does bonus damage against casters and/or also make his attack effective against casters via a skill at least . He’s the freaking mage killer after all .
Changing class advantage or giving a super unique powermod that scales off the mana of the opponent Servant like if a Servant has A+ Mana his Mage killer skill will add a 100& dmg modifier
He just needs the Kama Powermod that gives Class advantage against a certain Class; in this case being the Caster Class or Double Class Servants like Semiramis who are pseudo-Casters.
One of these days Kiritsugu *should* get a Strengthening Quest in JP (and may be an Animation Update + new My Room dialogue).
He's my np2 grailed to 100 and the only one who has all skills level 10. I badly wish he gets it :')

If AT LEAST Emiya Assassin's NP refunded charge like a normal NP he wouldn't be in my 2nd Chaldea. Until they do Kiritsugu justice he's going to continue to sit there alongside Irisviel in the void.
Waited many months for him and rolled this morning and got Winter Prayer CEs instead.

having an advantage against casters would be nice and will tie up to Kiritsugu's mage killer title
I think he needs 3 things:
1. Quick burst and PfA-like evasion on Skill 1. His signature Time Alter, yes. He gets *quick,* he *evades* some attacks (2 or 3) until he tires out.
2. On-hit-debuff on his Skill 2: Buff removal when he hits an enemy. The Origin Bullet. He already ignores invincibility and crits harder but he should cripple the enemy with removing magic effects. It may be just for 1 buff per facecard.
3. Passive Skill that gives him full advantage against Casters and disadvantage against Riders. Magus-killer that Is weak to mages is just pathetic.
Also it'd be great to add some synergy with Iri like passive +10.5% attack or +21% crit dmg when she's on the field.
I think his np being effective against casters and that being it would be enough
I always felt the class matchups for casters, assassins, and riders should be reversed. Assassin's should beat casters since all the magic in the world won't help with a knife in your back. Casters should beat riders since "hey nice horse. Is it fire or electric proof?" And Riders should beat assassins since it's kind of hard to stab someone in the back who's in a moving vehicle or running at mach speeds.

I want to use Kiritsugu, have him at np2. But just find it hard to choose him over shiki or Kama. Not to mention his skill mat requirements are brutal

Just to point out, main interludes only have the story quests from the event (and the KP quests in CCCs case). no farming needed
CasGil is the one servant I think ZTL doesn’t understand. He sees him as both a full time attacker and a full time support when he is neither. As most arts crit servants can usually gen their own stars, CasGil just accentuates this generation. He’s a not-so-poor mans Tamamo and a decent arts crit support, that is what he is.
First off, there is the rarity issue here. Most F2P players don't get servants like Tamamo and get the less rarer version of Gilgamesh which is CasGil. The problem here is you're comparing CasGil with Tamamo who's skillset and NP is obviously much much better in terms of support and stalling with big boss fights. Now with DW starting to buff servants like CasGil and even Tamamo, they now excel in their own way in the arts meta, making F2P players who only has CasGil enjoy spamming nps plus gathering crit stars for the team. In terms of practicality, Tamamo takes the cake with the cool down reduction, healing, np dmg boost, np gain, you name it. While CasGil's style comes with his arts supporting the team relying more on arts cards WHILE still gaining crit stars which is basically his lore but works pretty well in the game. With the additional crit buff support after an aoe np from CasGil, the team could basically deal almost TRIPLE their normal cards do damage after the turn collecting stars, heck even more better if there's enough stars to crit after getting the buff, and it works on ALL cards beside extra attack and that alone is what makes CasGil very distinct to his Archer counterpart and quite fun to play in the 4-star rarity. In my take, they are completely different servants with completely different skill sets and the gap these two have are too much if compared because of one being much harder to summon to his/her Chaldea. And CasGil is a laid-back version of Archer Gilgamesh and more into commanding position. His set is for dealing bursts of dmg while having defense and crit buffs when there is cool down. His only flaw is stalling and healing, which obviously what Tamamo is very consistent of.
P.S. I'm not a F2P and I do have Tamamo.
Kiritsugu been dodging me hard since accel zero rerun. Finally got him this morning after blowing way too many rolls for a non-limited 4 star. Glad to see you covered him today.
They need to replace his scapegoat and give him an actual time alter double accel . Like increase his crit star generation with an evade .
DW should just go ape shit on his Magecraft skill and turn into Hero of Justice or Mage Killer; gives 50% Arts buff and shuffles the deck and that you always get his two arts cards.
The real real downside of him is his NPGen stats. Having such a terrible 0.46% NP Gen with 2Hits Arts... this is simply stupid.
Well, I mean, it could at least be worked with, if his NP NPgen wasn't even more terrible, being almost Half of his base NpGen.
He is a arts character. He is supposed to spamm NP nicelly, but they nerfed his NPGen SO HARD because of his other cards hits, that it is almost beyond salvation.
Honestly, The BEST solution for me is buffing his NPGen to about 0.5% and remove de NP NPGen Demerit. ONLY THIS would be already amazing for him.
And before saying that Stat changes are impossible, Iskandar and RiderMordred already had their NPGen stats buffed (Iskandar after his interlude, Morded in a patch some time after release)
This is the main reason why I don't use him, that np gen is so bad that it hurts to use

Do people just forget Lanling exists? Cuz I think he might be a better support for Kerry than Castgil. Since ur probably fighting Riders a caster might die too easily and plus ur probably fighting challenging enemies anyways, so Lanling’s NP is better suited for that. And, Lanling has a on demand crit dmg buff for 50% and a 50% crit star gen buff as well, which are buffs that Kerry needs and Lanling can buff his success chance to 100% by himself. Idk I just think Lanling is a better support based on the enemies ur probably fighting and his kit as a whole is suited towards challenging content.
Not disagreeing here. I mean, I like CasGil a lot, mostly due to his Np actually being pretty useful to carpet bomb wave 2 and flood the field with stars, but as you said, if you're supporting Kiritsugu, it's probably to fight a Rider boss, making Lanling more efficient.
Thaaat being said, CasGil being the wrong class might actually be to his advantage. If you want to have him killed via Scapegoat to bring in the next buffer, him being weak to the enemy class is actually a plus, while Lanling might survive and ruin the plan.
Lanling is in general just a better Arts support. But he does have the one downside of not enabling star generation, which Arts always struggles with if they are trying to crit.
@@Talyrion I see what u mean with class disadvantage plus scapegoat, cuz it could be quite useful to quickly swap out to a secondary supporter and burst down the boss. But I think I might be biased here cuz I almost always use an arts stall team so I value Lanling more since his np is amazing for stall, but then again we’re talking about who can support Kerry the best and he certainly isn’t very good in stall teams.
I'm thinking of running Emiya Assassin, Saber Lancelot, and Sima Yi as my Arts Team
For me, Kerry (Kiritsugu) is Budget Summer Artoria (archer), except Kerry has invincibility pierce, and good C-star gain. I did use Kerry a lot back when I didn't have her, when I got her, she was able to np look basically by herself while I had to use some support to back Kerry.
My kiritsugu is np 4. Got her before shiki, and I grailed him to 90. Don't really care if shiki is better, he is my favoutit character from fate zero

Late, but besides the anti-caster bit -- which is tricky, I mean I actually favor strengthening via lore + decent gameplay, over getting top tier skill effects but marginal lore relevance at best, but I find Anti-Caster effect on an Assassin will be way too gimped in that usually you might as well just use Riders instead. Unless they make it very strong and it lasts for 5 turns on 5 turns cooldown can't be removed kind of deal ...
... Anyway, Kerry could also get time alter = some kind of evasion, defense, and crit up? Maybe take some self damage for the lore, but generally some combination of evasion and other effects. And who knows, how about it also increases his hit counts... I mean, that's what he tried near the end of his fight against Kotomine. yes, bananas extra attack hit counts.
Or maybe tie it to his NP? Kind of like Astolfo, except Kerry can somewhat loop better I guess so it could be a weaker version as in 1 or 2 times evasion per NP. And remember he has a targetable taunt so he can keep enemies away from him, and he saves the 2 times evasion and thus generally stay alive better. Far from Cu or Herakles survival, but better than before.
Anyway, sorry for rambling. tl;dr magus killer needs to be added intelligently (sometimes DW is just pepega), and evasion via time alter is another possibility.

It's been a while since I used emiya ever since I got jack. That being said, emiya is fantastic despite his sort comings. He got me through several challenge quests with his utility alone.
Problem with Kerry is that his NP gain is extremely terrible for reference shiki has a 2 hit art card with DOUBLE the np gain of Kerry same deal with Kiritsugus other compatition in Chiyome.
Now that Chiyome has an np upgrade I think she is better overall than Kiritsugu.
A way they can fix him is by buffing his magecraft to give him 50% art up Star absorption class ADV Vs casters (HES A MAGE KILLER FFS) and an np gain buff (3T) this would fix him completely and make him a downright monster in many situations.
The man needs a buff... well, two: one to his np gain and another one to his mana burst just like his son. Then we good.

@@batu5180 man, I can stop this game whenever I want, play it from where I stoped, the story is amazing and they put it on movies slowly but surely, play whenever I want and consumes very little GB data. It’s a healthy game! I was playing LoL before and I prefer this one. I also by default gained more hours per day so now I have more time somehow! Whish you the best as well friend!
I have Max NP Emiya Assassin from whaling the first time he came to NA when I tried to get Daddy Iskandar Also I never got Shiki ascension mats or got her to np 5 so I’m pretty lucky I got him and Yin qui to Max NP so I’m set for single target DPS Assassins one arts and one Quick

Could you do a space Ishtar vs summer Musashi video? I love Musashi but if Ishtar can loop better because of 50% battery or any other reason I would save for her instead (np2 max) not a huge spender :(

As one who doesn’t have Shiki, my NP2 Emiya Assassin is very good. The star gen and damage is pretty good, the hits are always perfect. His NP is so powerful and practical too, that NP gen though is only thing I don’t like that much.

Nah, as the video mentioned, it's mostly because Shiki exists. In itself, Kerry is pretty strong, but Shiki's NP hits for an insane amount of damage. Better steroid, same 'no matter what you do, you get slapped' niche, improved NP damage, reduces defense (after NP, but still), and a battery to become dummy-proof.
A case could be made that in the Castoria era, Kiritsugu is actually better at looping, which is definitely a plus. If you have him at NP5, you might argue he's actually better than Shiki - or at least, he's more suited for crit teams and his scapegoat can enable interesting strategies. But odds are likely he's not NP5, and Shiki will have better numbers anyway.
Of course, I actually like pairing them up. His Scapegoat and Shiki's Evade work pretty well together, at the very least, and he's good at giving her stars.

He's pretty nice. However, yeah, I have Tonberry girl at lvl 100, so the best he can hope for in my roster is being paired with her - and to be fair, there are worse options out there for that role.
I use lvl 100 NP5 Kiritsugu and have both him and Shiki at 10/10/10 skill ranks. Pairing them is definitely one of the better strategies for higher difficulty Rider nodes. The taunt paired with any evade is obviously abusable and also plays a part in keeping Kiritsugu's star generation consistent for any crit strategies.
Regardless of NP lvl and grails though, he is however better in most fights where you need longevity. Longer battles means you are taking more hits, where NP gain on hit is a big part of how Kiritsugu charges more reliably, and also where crit down obviously matters. And especially against enemy break bars when you can overkill to refund, this kind of snowballing benefits Kiritsugu harder than Shiki due to higher star gen and of course draining the boss NP multiple times.
There also weren't as many NP gain CEs around the time both servants were released. Those options help Kiritsugu more in the long run since he has better stats and team based utility outside of his low card NP gain.
This dastard pulls the substitution jutsu on me twice and gave me first Ishkander, then Reines while trying to get him.

i think he is mostly fine but his mana burst is extremly outdated at this point. For him to perform well you really need a really strong way to abuse the taunt

He's very cool and i like him, but my account doesn't have Shiki so i decided to grail Hundred Personas, i have 0 regrets...personally i like her more for NP damage (because easy NP5 and grails) but it would be nice to get Kerry for facecard damage because Hundred Personas hits kinda weak on normal cards even if she's grailed to lvl90.
Emiya assassin vs Astrea ?
Emya assassin is honestly pretty bad before Castoria. He's got neat utility but his abysmal NP gain generally holds him back. Once Castoria arrives though, his high hitcount NP that is post interlude, drain NP and reduces crit chance can now be looped for great ST damage and repeatable lockdown effects. This makes him suddenly go from a clunky servant that can't NP well and doesn't have lasting utility to one of the strongest single target options in the class.

I have NP3 grailed Kama and NP5 grailed Shiki. I also had Kerry at NP3 but was just short 3 rare prisms so....

I think Kerry would get a lot more love if did get buffed, I even have some ideas:
1. First Skill: make it a 3 turn with a boost to NP gen on top of the Arts buff
2. Second Skill: remove the demerit and give some healing capability like 20% HP back
3. Also gives the target 1-3 hits of evasion for 2 turns and gives 20 stars
Also make the First skill give him an advantage over Caster class servants because he is the "Mage Killer"

Even without Shiki there are still better alternatives like Chiyome or heck, even Hundred faces (althought he sinergyses with her pretty well)

Hundred Faces is cracked indeed, but I think Kerry performs better than Chiyome for me in most circumstances.
@@JaimeNyx15 I'm not really sure, for me Chiyome has been able to throw multiple NPs in succession cause she actually has a good NP gain. I don't think they're that far away from each other tho, Chiyome is kinda bad as well and certainly Kerry could outperform her on a crit team
@@inari8039 Tbh, It probably depends on how many copies you have of each one. I've only got one Chiyome, but NP3 for Kerry. I think Kerry does better in teams (that directed taunt is incredible) whereas Chiyome is better on her own with that evasion (though tying it to +NP is a bit awkward).
Kery is not needed much..for me
I never got Shiki I didn’t care about her so I ended up farming mats and exp during her event lucky me I have Kiri and YanQui at max NP and I leveled their skills a little

Why does kiritsugu look nothing like kiritsugu in fate zero?
Alaya has a white hair and tanned skin fetish, hence all the counter guardians look the same
The real reason is because like Emiya Archer the way they used magic isn't safe so it's damaged their bodies so where there skin and hair changed
This isn’t the same Kiritsugu this one is from an alternative world where he never met Iris or fell in love he instead became a counter guardian his heart basically atrophied from never falling in love
If he had 1 or 2 more hits on his arts he wouldn't get so much shit
