Performers of any kind were always considered lowlife immoral good-for-nothings. The only exception i know is ancient athens which was quite positive about theater. If you were rich they would reduce your taxes if you sponsored a play and so plays were quite often totally free

Really like Okuni for her visuals and character, even if the kit's a bit wonky. Should've given her way more CD reduction. FGO history segments are the spice of life.

Honestly, Okuni feels awkward in this post-Skadi meta. She would have been cool to have her appear during Skadi’s heyday. Still, managed to get her in 120 sq, and she seems interesting enough. It can’t hurt to have an attacker of each card type. Like how for Foreigners, I have Oui for arts, Molay for quick, and Abby for buster. Though I get through the rest of Olympus and bum rush Heian Kyo to unlock the event.

Question - wouldn't vanilla Skadi's defense down count towards the attack part of the damage formula? Just a thought that popped into my head since the video mentioned Okuni not having attack buffs. I feel like Skadi's upcoming NP buff works really well in the context of this Servant if you do manage to get it off. Five full turns of a charisma buff pairs nicely with Okuni's continuously stacking quick resistance debuffs, meaning that you'll have plenty of damage buffs even during your skill cooldowns. One underrated part of being able to use a Quick Caster is that Skadi's damage cut on her NP and crit chance down on her S2 are actually really good at mitigating damage from enemy Assassins if you have class advantage. Makes the team feel really tanky.
I got lucky and got Izumo just on a whim, so I'm a bit disappointed she's not that useful (I already have Illya), but her history sounds interesting! It's always cool to see figures taking on prostitution in a way where (perhaps) women had more power and agency. And not many people can say that they founded their own art form! I'll try see what kinds of things I can use her for, she seems very cool.
While "Single target Quick Caster" might not be a much asked for niche, I've certainly thought time and again that I'd love someone for the role of "Counter Placeholde Ghost Boss" throughout the story.

Too bad they nerfed her with crazy high cooldowns. I yolo'd Okuni, and now I'm wondering whether I should unlock her Mana Loading or Extra Attack Performance. Quick's block 50 charge makes Mana Loading awkward on 50% chargers like Okuni, so I'm leaning towards Append 1. She is a boss killer after all, and her card performance is supposed to be pretty good.
I don't see a real point to Okuni beyond her having a good-ish Battery and semi-solid ST niche, especially given her competition in the Quick ST sphere. Melt, though lacking a battery, is still a rock solid Servant with mad Crit potential in solos or with Summer BB support (whether she wants their help or not is another matter entirely), Kama is still the best Quick ST Loopers in the game that can work with Castoria to great effect without sacrificing much in exchange, and MHXA is nasty strong even without a battery. Okuni, by contrast, only has her battery going for her, and it's pulling heavy duty to counteract the jank the devs put in her kit for no good reason. She's good, but not a must have if you already got a strong enough Quick unit on deck.
It's honestly embarassing for the first Quick Caster to be so lackluster, especially because at this point Summer Skadi wouldn't have even been in conceptual development. I suppose if a GudaGuda servant was OP, though, people would've complained that only Japanese Servants get to be good.
Hard disagree, Plushie has good video about this, but I’d say Okuni is far better then most give her credit for. Even if we assume she’s mediocre, so what? If meta is all you care about, then there’s plenty of other dumb servants you can roll for. Lord knows FGO loves its power creep with some new meta coming out every few months
@@Assasin2 when she is powercrept by welfares that released years ago or year 1/2 servants you can get with the ssr ticket , it becomes a problem. Her only saving grace is the charge skill, so in 3t farming situations she has a role that isn't powercrept by almost all other decent ST casters.
@@MozillaVulpix okuni is locked behind SQ, something way harder to get. Also need to remember that in JP they are releasing the Welfares again, so you can just get her right before they add permanent content for STs with the release of Ordeal call.

She have a very good synergy with Skadi and Vangoh. Put 3 together they become a boss killer. She just slap Aphrodite silly in Olympus.

CQs, even without charge and low refund servants end up being really good since you can use Commands to make up for that.
