It should shift for him on d when he down shifts and floors it my rt and the scat drove did it, it makes a big difference with the settings you had on your charger scat pack

Probably with the entire trim set of dodges is its been the same old powerplant for so long they dont compete anymore. But so far nothing ive raced sounds better than my scat lol. The shifting for you only works with paddles, using manual mode wont do it.
Top end on the e92 is on another level. Especially good at its age to still be able to compete.

Sounds like the challenger driver was doing it correctly. He might try a higher speed and gear next time.
I’ve seen people just hold the downshift paddle for a couple seconds and I’ll drops it to the lowest gear possible, then just floor it and it’ll shift for you.

The scat is a boat
Na the scat owner what he does is what most ppl do. Bc if u keep the car is automatic mode and try down shifting with paddles the car will just shift up a gear and won’t let u keep the rpm high. So what he does is put it in manual mode down shift to second than once he hits the gas he switches back to auto so it can auto shift for him. He isn’t manual shifting up gears, only down.
Yeah I know what he’s doing but you don’t have to do that. I used to shift down in auto all the time and I never had an issue with it kicking me out of gear.
Either way no man can shift faster then the car, that's a waste of time.

@@yousif1504Manual is faster on circuit track with auto being faster on the drag strip. If that was the case everyone at the drag strip would run manual…. This is coming from a die hard manual freak that’s been driving manual from the beginning of learning how to drive.

I mean if you just wanna have fun then yeah, shift yourself. If you wanna have the best chance at winning, let the car do the shifting for you. In the scat at least and any auto car that let's you downshift manually and then shifts for you once you hit the gas.
i dont think that was a real scat pack...looked like the hemi with widebody kit, scat wheels, and exhaust setup for scat sound. Still pulled and looks dope
