Not gonna lie, Zack writing a hit song with Lane's mom so he can marry Lane might be the cutest thing ever. Normally I would critique the fact that he didn't say anything substantial before "will you marry me?" but at that point, the guy earned it.

I love how Mrs. Kim was willing to help Zack so Lane and him could get married. Seeing that he has promise as a musician, is a good worker at his day job and has always treated them both well definitely was nice. She was definitely looking out for her daughter (even got her a better ring too).
The way she is motivating him, she becomes his mother too. She could be his manager for music.
From what I remember, she ended up getting the band some good gigs due to her affiliation with the church, and then he was offered to go on tour.

To be willing to have Mrs. Kim as your mother-in-law... well if that doesn't prove true love exists I don't know what will.

Mrs Kim really grew a lot over the series. Season 1 Mrs Kim would have chased him out of Stars hollow for sure. I think Lane Moving out was the best thing for their relationship.

What does this Mrs. Kim know about rock music or anything for that matter. All this work just to marry Lane, if I were those guys like Dave and Zack I would be like see ya.
i wouldn't ask lane's mom anything. lane is a person, not her mom's property.
