- DISCLAIMER If your truck is newer than 2012 you probably have a different UI system so this method won't work for you. Keep in mind, not all trucks were changed to the newer system. It will work for some 2012 to 2014 trucks. These are mostly base-model, fleet, or trucks sold outside the US. ALSO, there is only one button for you to press it isn't that hard to figure it out. If you can't locate the only button on the Seedo then you shouldn't attempt this.
I don’t care if your truck is dirty or not, you just saved me 2 hours of driving to the dealership and getting programmed, and for that THANK YOU!!
Thanks, dude. $10 off of eBay just finished programming my remote. Everything is working perfectly.
Thank you, simple and to the point. Worked for Silverado 2007! I watched other videos and were too complicated
Thank for the tutorial. It worked perfect on my 2010 Silverado. $40 from Amazon and the dealership wanted $190 plus tax to do it.
Dude it looks like someone blew up a dirt bomb in your truck but other than that this was very helpful
I think something happened in his truck
For some reason I had to have my truck running. Saved me 2 hours of waiting at the dealership
Thank you for doing this video. It was a really big help in getting a new fab programed to my 2008 Silverado!
You need to watch the you tube video on washing your vehicle and cleaning the interior.
tiredlawdog it has been cleaned now thanks!!
Haha
That's his truck he paid for it and he cab do what he wants with it. Get the key information and STFU
@@GambisRestorations hey I just found your video on utub, I lost ONE remote I have but I don't have that display on my dashboard. Is there other way?
You bastard. If I could only give you like 5000 likes! Thanks. You are the best
Appreciate you man worked like a charm
Thank You for this Video, I got the updated fob and it works good.
"Press this" What are you pressing?
I’d really like to see that too! No learning centre in the 2009 sierra
Maybe you can show the part where your making selections from, all I can hear is pushing buttons.
Ya that would help!!!
Big help! I didn’t have the learn center and couldn’t find out how to do this any where.
Try doing it the way of the 06. Hold down unlock on drivers door. Turn the key in ingnition on off twice. Keep unlock held until u hear the doors lock an unlock. Release unlock. Hold down lock an unlock same time on fob until u hear door lock and unlock that means its programmed. Once done turn key to on that off and you are done. Let me know if that works.
I been looking for this!!
Great tutorial. Thank you
I have a 2012 and it doesn't cycle through to say learn remote anywhere.
Me as well I have a 2012 Sierra and the screen where it’s supposed to say Remote Key it’s Blank
I got 2013 Silverado LT. There is no Learn Remote option. What do I Do
@@mallorymcclary7 You have to get it done professionally with a Scanner. I would recommend looking at lock Smiths
Well shit.. I have a 2012 Silverado. That is not an option. I’ll try a local locksmith I guess.
Worked perfectly on 2007 new style silverado. Had to hold buttons longer than 15 seconds but the horn blows once it's programmed. When I programmed the 2nd remote horn didn't blow but remote did program. Hope this helps someone. Thanks for the video.
Super simple, thanks!
Awesome . I lost my fob years ago
There’s no relearn section on my 2011 Silverado
For some reason that option of “relearn key” doesn’t come out for me. I always have the best luck when it comes to DIYs.
@@slvsher7373 you truck might not have it.
Change the title to 2007-2010, this does not work for 2011-2014. Thanks
Travis Weed why doesn’t it?
@@GambisRestorations in 2011 GM changed their system where you can't program fobs through the driver interface center. You have to have a programmer.
Travis Weed well, you are right and wrong. If your truck has the learning center you can. Some models of trucks still do. Mostly base model trucks.
Thanks
@@GambisRestorations what do you mean need help with my 13 Sierra SLE
Hi. My 2012 Chevy Silverado LTZ does not have a Relearn Key Remote setting. Does this mean I have to take it to the dealership to get the extra keyfob programmed?
My 2011 has the same situation? What did you end up doing?
I have that same trouble 2013 suburban
Hi anyone knows how to program a key fob remote my 2011 chevrolet silverado z71 doesnt give me the option on the information button is there another way to do it???
My 2011 GMC Sierra doesn't either beto…
2010+ needs a scan tool to program.
@@alexjez2061 I guess my 2013 needs it too I'm trying and I can't make it happen
@@eliezerperez2999 Yep, I have a 2013 and it definitely needs the scan tool.
same i have a 2011 2500hd and i dont have an option for this
you da man
Does anyone know what kind of troubleshooting would be available for a situation where the display cannot go into the active learning mode and instead stays on the screen with the check mark?
Is that mud on your dash? I'm sorry but I had to ask. Anyways I have a 2012 silverado LTZ and it had to be one of those trucks that has to be taken to the dealership to be programmed. What really sucks is how much they're going to charge me..... $100 per remote. NO JOKE!!!
Thank you very much 👍
Awesome video Brother, you fixed me up Thanks
Muy buen video grasias
Relearn remote key isn’t even an option for me and every time I open my door my hazards go off FML any help will be appreciated
Me too, did you solve that?
Does not reprogram fobs for 2014 Silverado
Uh-oh, that's me too. I was about to go out to the truck. brb
does the relearn key feature only appear with the key turned to the on position and the motor off?
I believe so.
Relearn option doesn’t come up on 2013 Chevy Silverado LTZ
This doesn’t work for 2011 Chevy 2500 HD, there’s no key connection from the learning system.
I wonder why I don’t get an option on my display to relearn key? We had an auto electric shop replace the key fob to allow us to at least unlock the door manually and just start and drive without the antitheft system locking us out but I also bought one of these cheaper keyless entry buttons and need to figure out how to sync it up for remote keyless entry?
I don’t have the option either, did you ever figure it out?
I need answers too lol
Mine doesn’t have a relearn key option wtf. It’s a 2011 Silverado
Clean the mud and ull find the keys/fob
And this works for Silverados that didn't have keyless entry?
I believe so. I’m not sure.
2011 check engine won’t turn off. Where are you located? Maybe you can help out
You should take it to the parts store and have them run the codes.
What about the remote starter??
Idk what to press to get it there
There’s usually 4 buttons from top to bottom to the left of the speedometer cluster. When you push those buttons you get different info on the truck like odometer miles/trip miles, trans temp, and other buttons cycle through tire pressure and a few other I can’t remember. I believe he’s pressing the very top button and cycling through the options til sees remote relearn. He has key set in on position while doing that. That’s how it is on my 2012 1500. I haven’t seen the relearn on mine but I don’t think I’ve tried yet with engine not on.
So this won’t accidentally rest the miles will it and you push that button correct?
Thank you.
Thanks you
Ya lost your quarters too? For fhe carwash
what are you pressing to change settings
The black button the the gauge cluster.
"Press this" What is THIS?
You should only have one button on the display. If you can't figure out that i would suggest having someone else do it for you.
Why someone say 2011 and up will require locksmith or dealer to set up? I mean programming
GahtcHah XYonG you have a different digital display
@@GambisRestorations bad engineer, should have made all the same
K
Dont work on a 2012
My 2012 Silverado doesn’t have that option. What should I do?
My 2013 gmc has the same problem... no relearn center on my dash ... everything I looked up said dealer needs to relearn key fob for you
I have the same problem with my 2012 Silverado, now what????
I have the same problem with my 2013 chevy truck what do i do
I think someone sharted.
How do you replace the battery on this remote?
victor valdovinos you pop the back off and buy a new battery?
Dumbass mechanic quoted me $90 to program the key😂
What button did you push
The button that is near your odometer.
👍
I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado, but I do not have a remote key relearn mode?
My 2012 LTZ doesn't have the relearn option too. Hate to go to the dealership and pay a lot to get that done.
He says push this in lol he don’t show what he’s pushing in lol
Press what??????
@@Tony-uj7cd there is only one button you can press on your speedometer.
I'm sorry my 2011 Silverado does not do that
How the fuck does my 2013 not have relearn key feature?
What year you got
A Pod 2009
Press what??? geeze dude, if your going to make a video show what bottom your pushing would be re helpful!!!
Douglas Brunk there is only one button on the gauge cluster so you have a 0% chance of pressing the wrong button
@@GambisRestorations SO!!!! show yourself ;pressing the button. I thought you were jigglin the key or gear knob.
You couldnt clean the that dirty ass truck before making a video?
Erwin925 shut the fuk up
