Glad I was able to help
Any suggestions for adding a second fob after one is already working properly? I want to add a second for backup. Thanks!
Thank you! Worked like a charm. In my case I did not have to press the brake pedal at all. It took about 10 minutes per key. Did 3 keys.

So I have one of my fob keys from my last 2023 Silverado Rst that was totally crashed 7 days after I got it from the dealer, now I got another exact same car and I am wondering if I could add my old key from my previous car as the 3rd key of my new one. Is this possible to do it, using this process? Thank you in advance.
Hello, I get a warning on my display - Replace Battery in Remote Key? Even after I replace it? Any Suggestions?
When do you take the key out of the door? Does the key need to go back in the transmitter to program? That’s never mentioned
I have two original fobs. I am replacing one original fob. Do I have to reprogram both fobs or just the new one?
Will I need to re program my existing key fob in addition to the replacement one I purchased? Or will the original still work. ( I lost one of the two fob that were supplied by the dealer).
On another user video he reprogrammed his new one and his original. At the end of the video he made it sound like there is another procedure to program only one.
What about if you don't have the console? Where is the transmitter
Great video, but what factory key are you referencing? I just lost one of my fobs and using my backup now. Are you talking about the key in the fob?
Yes, the key in the fob.
This did not work for me- same make and model. For those that are having similar issues. I found a video- turn key left five times. Hit on/off, wait ten min, repeat, and repeat once more, drop in your new FOB, hit on/off, when done hold on/off for 12 seconds. Process takes 30+ min.
My 2020 silverado has a bench fold down center so where is the slot on mine!??
Hi Clarence, is this the process to program just one key or two? I have one originally programmed key and want to buy an extra one
Any reply to this? Same situation for me.
I want to thank you, because I have a 2020 chevy silverado ltz. And I did not know where the transmitter was the other videos had a pocket. I got go and try this, will give you an updates once I do it. Where did you get you spare fob at to do the program
I'm super glad I could help, let me know how it works out
Do you remember where you purchased the fob from
2018 malibu has onboard programming and does not require a locksmith or key tool.
did not really see it, but is that a 55 or 56 chevy next to your truck?
It's a 53 Chevy Deluxe 210
Hi Clarence. My dealer won’t work on a key fob I don’t purchase from them. Can I have the key cut by others ?
I'm not sure, but if you have one original Walmart can copy it.
Does the new FOB key have to be cut before it can be programmed?
@@J_production18 where you able to program even with the key uncut?
@@P0M0N8 I haven’t got the new FOB yet but when I do I’ll report back to you.
@@J_production18 ok I got mine today. I get the learning pending after turning the key 5 times . Then I wait ten minutes and learning pending pops up again , I never get the message that says insert first remote. :( haha
Will this work on a 2017 Tahoe
I'm not sure, might want to research first
How to unlock a steering wheel on a 2020 Chevy Silverado RST
How do you get the buttons on the door handles to work? All the features on the fob work but the little chrome button on door handle doesn’t workc
did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue
@@aquacommander57 yes it’s in settings. Passive entry
Not sure I understand why are you programming the key for that came with your vehicle, unless it’s a brand new one.
I tried it twice and did not program...
Any suggestions?
Were you still able to start your vehicle with one key afterwards? Wanting to try adding a spare but I’m afraid it will erase the one I have, then not work.
I have a 2020 RST and my console doesn’t look like yours
What if you are just replacing battery and have only 1 key fob?
Cathy although a different make and model the principal is the same. Here is the link to one on battery replacement. If it doesn't help send me your make model and year. Good luck.

I need help. I replaced the battery to the Key Fob and this process isn't working for me. Been out here 2 hours.
Definitely don't have to have foot on brake tho....
It baffles me keys cost $500!!!!! To have done! It should literally be against the law to have something that is required to use your vehicle cost so much.
Thanks so much
