    This is literally one of the best tutorials for understanding how to shoot in manual! I've been using the a6400 for over a year now in the full AUTO mode because it's great! But now I feel like I have a brand new camera! I just went outside and properly exposed a picture in manual mode and it feels great! Learning the exposure triangle has changed the way I plan to shoot! Thank you!!!

    now I completely understood the basic of photography. How happy I'm now to enjoy my hobby. i bought canon 700d 4 years ago but didn't know how to use Aperture, shutter speed and iso although i had watched so many video on RUclips. And now I bought a new sony 6400 and looked for some video about it and i came across your channel. You are amazing the way you explain those basic things but extremely important for those who are beginner like me. Thank you so so so much. It means to me. Please keep posting many videos.

    This is the best tutorial I've seen so far. I used to know at least some of these things back in the 90s but after that have forgotten most of it. I recently bought an a6400 and now I'm learning again to use these features instead of the auto-mode. This video really pushed me a giant leap forward to the direction where I'm heading to. So enormous thank you for making this video and keep up the great work you're doing. I also had to subscribe to your channel as I most definitely want to see more of your stuff in the future.

    Enjoyed watching this video. I own an a7r2 and found some interesting points that I didn't know before. I have a question, in the video, there is a discussion about using manual mode and getting the speed, focal length, and ISO settings so the meter indicates zero. When I have done this, there and put the settings so I have a zero on the range indicater, there are Zebra stips running through a portion of the view which indicates overexposure. Should I adjust to remove Zebras or leave the level at zero? Hope this question is clear.

    • @Jason_Hermann
      @Jason_Hermann  4 года назад

      lol, you are not an idiot Kyle ;) These things take time to figure out and when I first got a Sony camera I had no idea how to do it either!! I had the same issue when I reviewed the Leica D-Lux a while back. That camera you need to physically control to change values and I was baffled at first and needed to read the manual to figure it out. I was shocked how it worked, and was amazed I couldn't figure it out after I knew the answer. Thanks for the comments and have a great day ;)

    Thank you for your clear explanation. I've heard the theory about aperture, shutter speed and ISO many times, but I never got around to trying it. Coincidentally, I bought the Sony 6400 myself over a year ago and I'm practicing nicely.
