I had endometriosis so I can relate to you. I had a hysterectomy at age 26. I have had 30 operations because I have arthritis, degenerative disk disease and spinal stenosis and a lot of other problems. I am 52. My tattoos make me feel pretty. I feel so ugly with all my scares but when I get a tattoo they are so pretty they make me proud of my body and love looking at them. Thank you for explaining that to everyone

This is really inspired me to finally get a tattoo (or maybe try the temps first). I've always wanted one but have been self conscious of what other people would think. If I like it and it means something to me, then I should do it for me not anyone else.
Laura Tatum here on youtube just recently went through the whole "I GOT THE WRONG TATTOO" bit and she also talks about international adoption a lot which might interest you. I have a succulent tattoo and am currently designing my next two tattoos and this makes me want to schedule the appointment haha! I'm more of a person that has to have things centered on my body. So, I got one on the inside of my wrist and of course o had to do the other wrist, BUT I LOVE THEM! I loved this video so much! I'm 100% going to check out InkBox, b/c I'm planning to get a 3rd & 4th tattoo. The meaning behind each of your tattoos are wonderful. I totally relate to feeling that ppl might judge the tattoo(s). My family was disgusted & judgmental for so long. My family is very traditional Japanese, & it hurt, b/c they literally assumed I'd become a "bad girl" b/c of the tattoos. I proved them wrong & they got over it & finally admitted both were pretty haha!

New sub... I honestly wasn't looking to subscribe to anyone today bc I was just watching many different tattoo videos but I really connect with you on so many different levels it's crazy!! I have suffered with mental health illness all of my life & always had an obsession with numbers & colors. I also thought there was something wrong with me bc of the way I viewed numbers & colors & I never talked about it bc I was too embarrassed & never heard anyone else talk about such a thing. For so long I hated myself, was so depressed & didn't understand so many things about myself which lead to self medicating, drug & alcohol abuse. I have also always suffered with anger issues & couldn't control who or why I lashed out at, including my four innocent & precious children. By the grace of God I got clean & sober 5 years ago & have been doing some individual counseling, some group sessions & have been seeing a psychologist & have been working on finding myself, who I am, why I do the things I do & accepting & loving myself. I found out that the number/colors thing is actually more common than I ever imagined & I have been diagnosed with post tramatic syndrome, o.c.d., depression, anxiety/panic attacks & bi polar disorder. I absolutely adore you as a person, your strength, your personality, your openness during this video about so many things & you truly inspire me in so many ways. I'm so incredibly grateful that I came across your video & subbed to you!! 💕
Yes I would most definitely agree that getting tattooed on the foot is the most painful experience!! I have a tattoo on the top of my right foot that goes up my ankle and I love it so so much but there were a couple times during my sessions I questioned if I could actually handle getting it finished!!
i agree with the big tattoo stigma. i have several small hidden tattoos and at 31 i finally said im doing a big one! so ive started a upper thigh sleeve. its a work in progress. i started with a large focal point image last year and this year im going to get the rest of the background done. i cant believe i waited so long!

I have 7 tattoos that each have a private meaning & I definitely need an 8th. 3 of my tattoos are ones that have hidden objects or are a morph of different things. It's so funny when people look at them & finally realize what they really are!! They are kinda pervy LOL. I want to get another tattoo soon as I said above. I want one of my heartbeat with some kind of zipper or heart with it because of my heart problems. I have cardiomyopathy & congestive heart failure and I'm surviving so far. I have had 2 heart surgeries & I know I'll have more in the future, so I really want to commemorate that I'm still alive through it all.
Most people don't even know I have tatts because of the locations they are in. For some reason they are surprised I have as many as I do. I enjoy getting them, the pain and the way they make me feel, they are special to me. I like them even if no one else does. I have my name & my husband's name also. I know people say NEVER get your mate's name tattooed on you because you'll end in divorce. He was my 3rd husband and my soulmate. My first 2 marriages were horrible. The first was very abusive. I feel absolutely safe now and we've been through so much together. We've been together for 15 years next month and I got that tattoo probably the 2nd year we were married so it didn't seem to doom us LOL. We've both made a commitment to be together till death do us part for real. With all of my sickness, I think it's brought us closer together.

my first two tattoos were on my feet, I completely agree that it is the most painful. I also have a lotus flower on my right forearm and its about the side of your on your forearm. I went through the same thing with getting it where it can be seen. my other three can be hidden.. but I DO NOT regret it!

I've got an idea in mind, but I want this one to be totally custom, cuz I want it to tell a special story. But... being a broke single mom whose currently in school as well. Yeah... it's not been something I could do. But I've been hoping these temp ones, would kinda appease my need. Lol.
P.S. I looked into that Overtone hair color stuff you got Kelli, my daughter is into dying her hair right now. And I was wondering if you have tried any of the full sets they come with? Or just the weekly treatment, or daily conditioner? It looks like it left your hair really nice btw!
always wanted to get a tattoo but have a meaning to it that I won't regret and I finally have one in mind it took a very big life changing thing to happen to me if it wasn't for my husband I probably whould not have got as far as I am today the only thing I regret is taking small things for granted I want a tattoo of a pack of life savers and my husbands name incorporated in it because if it wasn't for him ........ I'm just glad because I had a brain aneurysm burst which turned into a hemorrhagic stroke I was only 45 thank you Kelly for sharing it means so much to me

I have a mandala/henna half sleeve and it got it because I LOVE the balance. I totally get you on that! All of mine are on my right side or centered, the idea of having one on my left side makes me feel strange.

I have 2 Chinese symbol tattoos. One says "follow your heart" the other says "follow your dreams". A friend of mine worked with a couple people who wrote and spoke Chinese as their first language so she took pictures of my tattoos and asked them what they said. Not only do they say what they are supposed to say, they are also grammatically correct 😊
I have a Harry Potter tattoo. On my right wrist I have the 3 stars that that are on the top corner of each page in the books. I love Harry Potter and went through a depression stage in my life and reading the books helped me through it. Have no shame in with your Potter love!!
I agree with feet being the most painful spot for tattoos. I have a tribal sea turtle that covers most of the top of my foot. Hour and a half of sweating bullets and gripping the heck out of the table 😂

Wow we have a very similar background!!! So sorry to hear you experienced some of the same things I did as a child though!!! I would never wish it on anyone but it's nice to know I'm not alone..... I hope that makes sense cause in my mind it does but I can see how trolls may turn it around.

Kelli the only tattoo I ever got was a smaller one on top of my foot and to hear you say that it's the most painful place right now I'm very happy to hear that because I wanted to get another one and I've been afraid because of that pain experienced. The only problem is the one that I got on top of my foot I wanted to redo I've been procrastinating on going back to get something else on top of it ha ha

if her cross tattoo means she is Christian, the world needs more Christians like her! With everything going on right now, especially in America, w need more Christians that openly accepted and promote equality. Kelli is such an amazing person and I really admire her open mindedness. I witnessed a lot of people saying and doing very ugly, hateful, hurtful things in the name of Christianity and in my opinion those are not a representation of what the Christian faith stands for. Love and acceptance of people that are different than you is the Christian thing to do.
Interesting thing with the even number tattoos! Actually in Italy where I'm from it's supposed to be good luck to have an uneven number of tattoos! i think it was something to do with sailors in the old days getting a tattoo at every port, having them uneven means you came back where you started and you didn't die at sea basically! I have only one tattoo and I've actually been a bit uncomfortable thinking of having 2 lol I'd prefer an uneven number I think :) Funny how we're all so different!

My daughter got a pretty big tattoo on her lower back that she got when she was 18.
Because of it's size and where it was situated I told her that she may regret getting it.
I know she does regret it but she told me it would be hard to take off because it's black and large.
Your tattoos are strategically placed and I know you put thought into where they were going to be and you made them not so big. The one on your arm is kind of big but it looks cool because it kind of wraps around your arm.

BTW I took so much French in my lifetime. I took it when I was 4, 6, 7, 14, 15, and 16. I finally almost flunked with a D- !!! I was terrible at past present and future. But I found reading it much easier and I don't know why.

I have 4 tattoos and the only one that really hurt was the one on my hip/thigh. That one made me nauseous and I had to stop mid way through and again before finishing it. It was in my most ticklish spot, plus the fact that it was causing pain was such a weird combination. I ended up having to get it touched up, too.
The huge one on my back took nearly 6 hours and I almost fell asleep. The only part that was painful was the bits that went across my spine.

I hate the term "basic bitch tattoo" if you like the tattoo, it has meaning to you, then get it! Whether it's common tattoo or not, whether you're a man or a woman, just get the tattoos you want because ultimately you're gonna be the one to live with it. I even talked about it with my tattoo artist because I got a "basic bitch tattoo" and he agreed that it was stupid to label tattoos like that and that all tattoos are beautiful works of art.
