I know this is a really stupid question to ask, but how does the president's vehicles get to MN? Are there multiple in all states or did they drive there earlier? If someone can answer, that'd be very appreciated.
Not a stupid question! 2-3 C17 Globemasters deliver the necessary vehicles a few days prior, including the “Marine One” helicopter.

What a beautiful takeoff
I always like watching airforce one land or take offs.
To think that in around 70 years we went from that primitive first flight by the Wright Brothers to this magnificent machine is quite amazing
the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers was in 2003, so we are fast approaching the 120th anniversary.
@@taylorj959a yes you are correct but the 747 was alive and well in the 70s which I was referring to. They are a beautiful plane I hate to see them being phased out.
How about the fact that we went from Kitty Hawk in 1903 to Tranquility Base on the Moon in just 66 years!

@@geowilliams8915 I guess that little glider they had was so primitive that once engineers figured out the basics for flight the sky was the limit (no pun intended) really is astonishing how quickly flight progressed that’s for sure.

Me too. In Chicago I would park out near fencing and get a fabulous view of all the planes departure and arrivals.
I was at airport in my home town in MI when Air Force One landed; the most elegant landing I ever experienced personally.

Beautiful video!! Love watching Air Force One take-off and land. The pilot is magnificent. You would never know, if you are a passenger, that this jet just took-off. To think that number 45 wanted to replace this Boeing jet with a brand new one especially built for him. Thank god the only thing replaced was him!!
The new jet is still happening, though it is behind schedule. This jet is due for a replacement as it's modifications that make it suitable for the job are in dire need of modernization. The new one is also far more fuel efficient, faster, and more environmentally friendly. It was always understood that Trump would probably not use the new plane much, if at all, due to how long the process of converting the plane takes. What was in all actuality just a normal government contract/acquisition process was simply overly politicized due to the person in charge at the time. Happily though, the new ones are still 747s.
Trump got it way cheaper BTW! You are a genius!! Do you know how long it actually takes to actually make a new Air Force one !! All presidents put stuff in place for future presidents!
The “magnificent” pilot has extremely limited control over the aircraft, because it literally flies itself (thanks to technology and computer programs). Also, a former President (most recently) was limited to proposing color changes, not the plane.
Actually the 2 planes that President Trump brought was a brand new unused that park in Victorville Airport here in California, I saw it going by everytime until Trump brought it, it was make for some Russian but never delivered it to them for some reason

Air Force one has to be the only 747 to ever use 30R at MSP.Very cool to see.
What is 30R at MSP?
MSP has a set of parallel runways.
12L and 12R face SE
30L and 30R face NW
30R is at the West-most point of the airport.
30R/12L is also shorter than 30L/12R and 4/22 thus less active for heavy traffic.
All the heavy gates are on the 30L/12R side of the terminals as well.
NWA 747's used 30R a lot in the 80's till Delta retired them a few years ago. Landing on 30R was no problem but they had to use 30L /12R or 4/22 to take off if they were heavy.

So, given this is a military aircraft, and given the highly specialized nature of its missions, and given the highly protected nature of the commander-in-chief whom this aircraft serves, can I be forgiven for assuming these are not off-the-shelf GE turbo fan engines? And that they have been modified to produce extra power? It would seem logical to me that they have been modified to perform at a higher level for safety/security reasons in addition to the reasons already mentioned. Any thoughts or feedback? I ask because the engines just seem a bit louder then what I thought was normal. I could be entirely wrong though.

I thought it was kinda cool a couple of years ago when trump came to my hometown in Wisconsin, you could hear the giant planes coming in with the cars a couple days before Air Force One came. It was cool seeing Air Force One parked when I went by.

Looks like you were over on the parking terminal levels to be that high up enough to get that shot along with a good steady zoom.
I used to work at the airport during my rental car days and where I was located down on the far end of the runway where Air Force One started the roll out to takeoff position.
Spent a few times watching the 747's rattle the rental cars around while I was inside of them with the jet wash when they powered up to move into position after being cleared for takeoff.
Noisy as heck during those years from the end of the runway too.
Fighter jets were even louder from that point too.
The rental cars are now inside the parking terminal and no longer at the end of the runway.
Once a while you get lucky to see AF1 come in for a landing on the main runway as you drive over the river crossing
