30 years is pretty normal service life there are 747-100s still flying today over 60 years later as cargo converted jets as most of them used to be passenger jets so the 747 that air force one is is only middle aged at most. Some jumbos might reach 100 years of service life or more depending on operational conditions and carriers Wich wouldn’t surprise me as there was still a 707 in passenger operations up untill 2019 with Saha air in the Middle East she was approaching over 70+ old I believe the main reason for her retirement at that time in specific was the Covid outbreak as the 50,s era airliner just couldn’t be reconfigured for safe flights with Covid restrictions
@@andrewpond1127 that’s what you think buddy. But you should really look into things more. It might not be normal but there will definitely be a 100 yo 747 still flying somewhere before it’s put to rest
I've only witnessed the departure of Air Force One a single time, with Bill Clinton leaving Tyndall AFB. I was pretty well astonished at the angle of attack. I didn't know a 747 could climb like that.
Just a quick clarification: An airplane carrying the president will only take the call sign "Air Force One" only and if the aircraft in question is operated by the US Air Force. If the aircraft belongs to the Navy or Marines, the aircraft will take on the callsign "Navy One" or "Marine One" respectively. The US Army not owning or operating any aircrafts, the term Army is not used. If the aircraft is private or commercial, it takes on the callsign "Executive One", only used once by Nixon on a commercial flight in the 1970's
The aircraft is not armor plated to withstand nuclear blasts. It is electronically hardened to not get affected by the electromagnetic pulse. So much false info in this video. Also any vehicle or aircraft the president is on, has the nuclear football. The football, as it is called, can initiate a nuclear launch. The aircraft just has better communication ability.
The only ones know about AF-1, is the crew that flow or work on it. It’s truly the American people aircraft that represents United States of American people powers. Veteran Spoken, 1st amendment rights.
I believe it can also fly higher and at a greater rate of climb than a standard 747. The average 747 pilot if placed in the cockpit of this plane would be shocked at the capabilities of this aircraft.
I can't fly any higher or faster than a standard 747. It simply has defenses and counter measures that a military aircraft would which is what it is, a military aircraft.
There exists a variety of aircraft painted in the same livery. Such as the Boeing 747, B-757, and Gulfstream. Whichever of those the president is aboard is "Air Force One".
They got the callsign AF1 wrong; I forget the exact date of POTUS involved, but in fact there was a flight callsign AF2600 (carrying POTUS) attempting to make a landing at an airport causing some confusion as an additional military flight was under the same callsign the pilot of AF1; then AF2600, got on the radio and stated he was changing his callsign to AF1 and he had priority as he was carrying POTUS and it has been AF1 since!
BEARS MIX. Nearly got it. The president involved with a near mid air collision was President Eisenhower in 1953. At the time, the aeroplane being used was call sign AF8631. At that time there was no standard presidential call sign. Spot on about the mix with a commercial aeroplane with the same 4 numbers. It was after the near accident that the call sign Air Force one was first introduced. They also at the same time, created Air Force Two for the Vice president. As to make sure that the president & vice president were never in the same aeroplane. A few things not mentioned. The two presidents to fly in the air as Air Force One, after they passed away were President Kennedy on 26000 in 1963, and President Ronald Reagan in 2004 on 28000. Both these presidents have an aeroplane dedicated to them, 26000 for JFK, and 27000 for Ronald Reagan. Executive One is today the call sign for the helicopter of an outgoing president, going to Andrews Joint airforce base when they leave office. The only president to use 'Executive One', as a call sign, in office was President Nixon. On that flight they were on a commercial aeroplane, heading for california with the first family. There is an Executive jet linked to President Johnson in his museum too. When they flew it, he called it Air Force One & a half. Great comment. Hope that this helps.

Air force 1 call sign is only used if the president is on board. This would also apply if he's on the 2nd VC. If he is on a marine aircraft is marine 1 reference the presidential helicopter. One of the fleet of about 15 to 20. Has not happened but protocol is in place. If coast guard would be coast guard one, and I believe army one. Presidents have occasionally used part or all of a commercial airliner, then it's call signed commercial one. Not sure about private air craft. Believe Nixon had a pilots license, and may have flown a private plane to camp David and or vacations. Here air force fighters will cover, and some of those marine helicopters accompanying.
The highest floor is the cockpit, crew lounge & military services behind it in the famous "Hump." "oval" office is on the main floor. The fleet of 707s & 747s are the most recognizable & respected aircraft in the world - trump had no business childishly changing the traditional paint scheme just because he could and for no other reason, and I hope Biden vetoes it before they're finished. Unlike your asinine & fictitious thumbnail, the presidential 747 must be unarmed by treaty so that it can't be fired upon by a foreign enemy as an armed assault aircraft. It can't deploy anything but defensive measures.
Air Force One is only called that if it's a US Air Force aircraft and the US President is onboard. If the US President is on a Navy plane it becomes Navy One, Army becomes Army One, and the US Marines becomes Marine One. @@TheGito413 When I worked at Boeing, they had a plan to make 747 huge and compete with A380. They showed it in plan form next to our office complex for scale. It barely fit our parking lot, 350-400 long x 350 wings with longer upper deck. It would hold 800 - 1,000. However, they decided on something different. Market was too small for super planes. They came out with 787 and updated 777.

That's not Teddy Roosevelt at 1:48. That's Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Any air Force aircraft becomes air Force one, marine aircraft would be Marine 1, Navy aircraft would be Navy 1, etc.

I'm surprised they never added any

@ 3:28 - its referred to as, "the flying white house" not the flying fortress. The B-17 is a bomber, that was used during the second world war and it was called the "flying fortress".

Fun fact: recently, ODD EYE CIRCLE made a song to be played specifically on all Air Force One flights, as per president Joe Biden's request. The song is available for everyone though, and it's called Air Force One! I highly recommend listening to it, truly and unique and fantastic song.

Fuck that shit lol. We can put joe biden on century old planes
You will not see a jumbo jet make it to 100 years in service. Not a chance.

I've only witnessed the departure of Air Force One a single time, with Bill Clinton leaving Tyndall AFB. I was pretty well astonished at the angle of attack. I didn't know a 747 could climb like that.
That was because it was full of hot air.
Just a quick clarification:
An airplane carrying the president will only take the call sign "Air Force One" only and if the aircraft in question is operated by the US Air Force.
Army has helicopters just like Marine One?
Hello 👋 how are you? I would love to know more about what you think about the plane ✈️
I’d like to know how they tested it to know it could withstand a shockwave from a nuclear weapon
Lmao. Propaganda
“Air force one is a Flying Fortress”

Beyond Facts is a pretty good name for this channel since so many of your "facts" were either misrepresented, misunderstood, or simply false.

Good to know. It's comforting to know.
I believe it can also fly higher and at a greater rate of climb than a standard 747. The average 747 pilot if placed in the cockpit of this plane would be shocked at the capabilities of this aircraft.
most likely not, considering the weight is substantially higher
I can't fly any higher or faster than a standard 747. It simply has defenses and counter measures that a military aircraft would which is what it is, a military aircraft.

There exists a variety of aircraft painted in the same livery. Such as the Boeing 747, B-757, and Gulfstream. Whichever of those the president is aboard is "Air Force One".

Only Blessed minds built this incredible plane!!!! God Bless USA!!!
There's actually two Doomsday command planes. When shit goes down, it's in the air before anything else.
Command and control is the most important .
Im not a plane geek but glad we are smart enough to protect the person in charge. We have a whole new generation hopefully they love this country as much as we do.
is this satire?
Yeh, protect the person at all costs who , in all likelihood, got the American people on American soil now , involved in the war that the air force one is designed to deal with no matter the horrific happenings below on the ground where Americans are dying no doubt or soon to if in the case of atomic war. Hell no. Build 1000s of them to rescue the people who didn't have to actually fight another man's war for oil or power or land or whatever nonsense it will be then and Also the soldiers who are injured and can't fight any longer . I want to serve a president, a commander in chief who participates on the battlefield as well, g. Washington and Dwight Eisenhower. Or grant, etc..but those types of leaders are no longer around . Instead we have spoiled rich kids who grow up to go to Harvard or Yale, rtc...and avoid any draft or enlistment . Actually I want to echo the sentiment of my aunt. She says she can't wait for the day when a war is declared and then no one shows up to fight. That would be fantastic

You could put him in the plane in front of the grocery store with a roll of quarters and he wouldn't know the difference.
You posted this in 2022 that means that you have to know that Bush Sr. took possession 1990, Clinton 1993, Bush 2001, Obama 2009, Trump 2017 & Biden 2021 have flown in it totaling six.

If the US President is on a civilian aircraft, it's call-sign becomes Executive One!
And if he’s flying on some old hippie’s glider, it becomes designated “Hippy Glider One,” right? 😁
