We might see it again. Remember, Queen Victoria's state funeral had the largest attendance of crown heads and other leaders to date. I don't know if King Charles funeral will be as big an affair because he won't be on the throne nearly as long as mummy. But I think Prince William may prove to be so popular we may see a gathering like this again. The only question is; what will the world look like 40/50 years from now and will everyone be in a position to attend? All I know is there is a 90% chance I won't be around for it!

Queens are much more loved than Kings and I guess that's the reason their funerals have pulled such extra ordinary attendances. There is not likely going to be another Queen in England for a long time so I don't think there will be another outpouring of love and grief for a departed monarch that will compare to that of Elizabeth II. 70 years for Elizabeth II a long time to build a legacy. King Charles III is unlikely to come close to what his mother was to the British, the Commonwealth and the world

Great video, but that 757 is not Air Force 2. Just like with the president, it's only designated AF2 when the vice-president is onboard the plane. Since she was not in the UK, this was just a C-32A, which is the military designation for a 757.

When the US President go's overseas there is always a backup plane that follows. Normally it's another 747. But the 2nd 747 could have been down for maintenance, which is why the 757 was there.

You mean pulling a United 232 on them? Surely there’s enough redundant hydraulic lines and fused to prevent starvation of the hydraulics in case that happens

There’s probably never been so many airforce and government aircraft of so many nations in the UK at that one point. Almost every airport close to London able to capacitate them had some arrive!
Great videography. It was instructive that the countries with the longest flights were Boeing aircraft. I loved the Korean 747-8. And the 777 from Japan. They both make statements about their respective countries in a very positive manner. I noted there were no airbus 380’s or 340’s in the mix. Flying nonstop is a real luxury and capable, but not used often.
When the last aircraft finally departed I imagine the sigh of relief from the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and ground defence commander at the airport was IMMENSE!!!!
Very interesting to see this. Lot’s of nice looking planes and liveries. Air Force One really stands out though. You could see that light blue nose from miles away! It’s really a striking and creative design with the silver finish on the bottom of the aircraft and backs of the engines. I love it!
We have to support our local industries. Embraer is a Brazilian company. However we use the AC-319 as the main aircraft due the longer range and E-190 E1 as backup airplane or main airplane for domestic flights

My DearOne question for you. How many US Presidents have died in your lifetime? Why would pick the the passing of a USA President in comparison to the UK? I saw quite a few retired passenger jets in the background ,parked there temporary until disposed or reactivated in the future , but 747 400 parked their meant for scrapping.
90016 is the backup, for 28000 and 29000, it is rarely used as Air Force 2, mostly as AF -1, when needed such as when POTUS heads to Delaware, or other short distance trips. Usually both 747's are used on oversees trips, however in an effort to keep a smaller footprint per UK directive, 1 747 was left behind, or was in maintance at the time.

The E190 can't make that flight non-stop. They could have gone from Brasilia to somewhere like Cape Verde, and then MAYBE on the extreme end of its range made it to Stanstead. The A319, again on the EXTREME end of its range and not carrying a full load of passengers, could possibly have made it from the closest airport on the Brazilian coast to London without stopping to refuel. But, I'd guess that it refueled somewhere like perhaps the Azores.

Hey, Qatar Amiri Flight still operates the (BBJ) 747-8! Not sure how many though - Wikipedia says that they had six delivered out of 11 ordered, but now show only three still in service? BTW, they also have a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III on their roster - that's a hell of a VIP plane! Maybe to transport the royal family's cars, race horses etc? That must surely be the only civilian C-17 in operation? Just imagine having that much money!
Officially, Qatar Amiri Flight has a fleet of 14 aircraft at their disposal: 3 A319, 2 A320, 2 A330-200, 3 A340 ( 1 A340-200, 1 A340-300 and 1 A340-500) and 3 B747-8i. They used to have 4 B747-8i, but gifted one to Turkish Government for their support when the other Middle Eastern countries surrounding Qatar imposed air blockage few years ago. Qatar Emiri Air Force operates 8 C-17s, one is fully operated by Qatar Amiri Flight. Carrying luggage, shopping goods, cars, food and medical supplies whenever required.

The Japanese one was coming back from Brussels and BIMAN Bangladeshi was also coming back from Jeddah.

My DearOne question for you. How many US Presidents have died in your lifetime? Why would pick the the passing of a USA President in comparison to the UK? I am curious to learn what is the rationale behind your comparison? Two entirely different cultures. Not to mention the fact that the USA change Leaders every 4yrs. Wow, Air Force 2 shows off the 757's reputation as an aviation hot rod.
90016 is the backup, for 28000 and 29000, it is rarely used as Air Force 2, mostly as AF -1, when needed such as when POTUS heads to Delaware, or other short distance trips. Usually both 747's are used on oversees trips, however in an effort to keep a smaller footprint per UK directive, 1 747 was left behind, or was in maintance at the time.
29000 (VC-25A) hasn't been used as AF1 since Trump was in the White House. It still is seen flying in the US. No doubt used for training.

Excuse my ignorance. Could anybody please explain how a 319 or an Embraer 190 of the Brazilian government can get to the UK? Can they carry enough fuel for a long flight?
The E190 can't make that flight non-stop. They could have gone from Brasilia to somewhere like Cape Verde, and then MAYBE on the extreme end of its range made it to Stanstead. The A319, again on the EXTREME end of its range and not carrying a full load of passengers, could possibly have made it from the closest airport on the Brazilian coast to London without stopping to refuel. But, I'd guess that it refueled somewhere like perhaps the Azores.

Hey, Qatar Amiri Flight still operates the (BBJ) 747-8! Not sure how many though - Wikipedia says that they had six delivered out of 11 ordered, but now show only three still in service? BTW, they also have a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III on their roster - that's a hell of a VIP plane! Maybe to transport the royal family's cars, race horses etc? That must surely be the only civilian C-17 in operation? Just imagine having that much money!

They used to have 4 B747-8i, but gifted one to Turkish Government for their support when the other Middle Eastern countries surrounding Qatar imposed air blockage few years ago. Qatar Emiri Air Force operates 8 C-17s, one is fully operated by Qatar Amiri Flight. Carrying luggage, shopping goods, cars, food and medical supplies whenever required.
