- Welcome to the updated version of my sims 4 family tree!! We are probably 100-200 sims in and going! Have a tour of the family and enjoy yourself - thank you so much for watching!

GUY'S I have an idea for all those people who LOVE making generations after generations. Idk if anyone has made a challenge like this but I just thought about it, I Call it Successful Generations Challenge.
Rules:
1. You win the challenge after about 3 or 4 generations but it's your choice if you wanna go higher
2. Both parents has to be successful in their careers.
3. After the 3 or 4 promotion that is when your sim is allowed to pursue a romantic interest or have kid's (if they already have a romantic interest)
4. Your sim must be faithful to that one Sims only
5. You are not allowed to try for a baby more than once (unless they don't conceive)
4. The first or only child will be your successor
5. And yes your sim can have fun just like any other sim 😂😉
6. Yes, Your child is allowed to have the same Job as their parents or grandparents
7. Mods and CC and cheats are allowed
8. Good luck and try to make it through the 1st generation
And that's the challenge, I hope whoever sees this gives it a try and enjoys it. Have fun with your successful generations!

That’s basically the way I’m playing 😄😄 to me that’s not a challenge, that’s just what I do... just that I have more children and chose the successor... but I every sim finishes it’s career etc.

The biggest problem I experienced with my big familys is that when the first generation starts dying of the others constantly have the sad moodlet cuz it's like a chain reaction
Have them call the sadness hotline, give pep talk in mirror, or cry in their beds. That helps it go faster

same here. I'm playing the legacy challenge and my sims are just depressed 24/7 bc old family members keep dying.
Theres a great mod called Balanced Death Moodlets and it fixes that. If its someone your sim barely knew, they'll get a fine moodlet for a few hours, up to a close family member/friend where they're sad for a couple days. It fixes that super annoying problem.

Right?! Is so hard to pass one generation. Usually I hate how my babies look, they get ugly asf and I have to activately play as them to make them have children.

I guess when a new child is born she selects them as the next character she'll play and then move them out alone and it's like a fresh start except big family story

Some of you are asking how to keep interest in a sims family. This is my trick.
I love huge familys. LOVE THEM. You always have something to do and work for. So make a big family. The family I made has a..
Husband
Wife
Teen
Teen
Kid
Uncle (Wife's Brother)
And Grandpa (Wife's father.)
I made them all get a job (except for one teen and the kid) and then here is the thing that will keep you entertained for months...
DRAMA. LOTS OF IT.
In my save I made the Uncle get someone pregnant, made her move in and she had a kid. Made one of the teenagers get pregnant. Made the other one fall in love with a girl and move her in because as the story line went "she was in an abusive home."
Made the Grandpa get a younger boyfriend and when he died made the boyfriend stay in the household because he had no where else to go.
Made the Husband a criminal, and he cheated on the wife. The wife got mad and then cheated on him. So they both lived double lives. They divorced, the husband moved out. The wife's new husband and his two kids moved in.
While this was going on the Uncle married the woman who had their daughter. She got prego again and had twins and then triplets.
It's SO FUN. Add unrealistic drama. Make crazy twists. Do challenges. Make a HUGE FAMILY.
Just make it hectic.

I actually never know how to play with my generations. I'm with my household in Gen 4 and I have two separate lots, since they all have multiple siblings and half-siblings and so on. I placed my settings so that only the played household will age and jump back and forth between the two lots, so I don't missing out on anything. But it becomes so stressful. I wish that story progression would be a thing and my Sims can care for themselves, get into new families, marry new partner, become children, it would be much easier for me that way. Anyway, I hope I can one day let loose and build a family tree, half as big as yours.
Try downloading MCC! It has story progression and is very useful.
@@karoline9835 Thanks so much for recommending this! I always saw the Mod in Let's Plays and I always thought, it's just good for cheating, what I don't do. But I play with it now and I'm newly obsessed with the Sims 4. I love that now different Sims spawn, townies get pregnant, couples are splitting and marrying new, it feels so much more like life. @Zachary Khan I saw Sim Guru Kate (I believe) tweeting about it, as well. Maybe they were thinking about it and were then not realising it, I don't know. But I don't know how they could throw story progression out of the game. It's a huge mistake and that's sadly the case with a lot of stuff missing in the Sims 4.

It’s quite simple, thankfully. So first of all, you have to search up deadpooler mc command center. Next, the first website should be the one. It should have a black and red theme. Then on the website click “download” and download the first one that comes up, the 6 one. It should be at the top. Wait for it to download, unzip the file, make a folder for it, put all of it in the folder, then put it in your mods folder. Open up your game, remember to enable script mods, restart it if you haven’t until then, and enjoy! Hope this helped!

One of my sims family trees is so big it fills up the world's because they all have more than one child each... I am getting confused and have too look at the family tree often just to make sure my sim isn't going out with their cousins....

I’m currently five generations in and I think this might be the biggest family I’ve ever had. Usually I get about three generations in before I get bored and restart. The biggest one I’ve had was five generations before I gave up. I like the stories I given my sims, and the sims themselves as I believe my family tree has great genetics. Though I’ve already delt with some glitches...
same, my game crashes on daily basis cuz it can't handle the amount of descendants living in my city

Just add drama I'[m gonna make my "main charachter"'s cousin steal her mans while she pregnant and the cousin's husband finds out and cheats on her with ANOTHER on of their family members and the cousin got pregnant as well but fooled her ex husband (techincally) that it's his child

I'm at 5, I want to do at least 10, maybe even more! First generation (Reggie and Lily) had one son, Henry who married Anastasia and had one son Peter and he had four kids with Lizzy, two boys Arthur and Cedric and two girls Victoria and Willemina. All four of those have had 2 boys each! Harry, James, Theseus, Newt, Ernest, Liam, Luke and Edward. I'm going to stick at 8 for the 5th generation. (Yes some of those names are inspired by Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts)

I wish Sims was online that's what I want lmfao! But your family tree looks dope. I had a family tree similar with 28 generations, working over six months on it. Sadly my save data deleted but I'm starting over again lol. Looks like you've put a lot of work Into it and I love it. Definitely subscribing. I don't normally find other people that are into the whole generation creating play style like me.

Multiple times of taking that anti-aging potion you can get through the Sim rewards, I guess.
MK sometimes the family tree glitches and it shows some people as alive when they’re ghosts so it’s probably nothing

I love creating generations of Sims. I'm currently on the 6th generation of one family. Creating wealthy and powerful Sim dynasties is kinda my thing.
I spend an hour in CAS and an hour building my house, then I play the household for 20 minutes then I lose interest and make a new one lol

It’s pretty smart to focus on one child after your main sim has kids because I have a habit of focusing on all the family which got disinteresting
Reminds me of AndrewArcade. His family (The Bags) came all the way from Sims 1 until Sims 4 Vampires I think it was. Pretty epic I must say
I can remember back in middle school planning out this huge family tree that I was going to make in the sims 3 coloured coding and all. I ran out of coming up with names so for some I did the II III IV. I started out with a couple that had 4 kids. I didn't get to far, I must've lost interest or just keeping track of it all was too much. But it was fun

I have a tip for if you lose interest quickly in your game
I write down storylines and stuff in my notebook for all my sims, it has their future jobs planned out, how many kids I want them to have etc. I end up planning like 3-4 generations sometimes, and because I’m excited to play with those sims then I tend to stick with my household.
I have a problem where I get bored of a family and make like multiple family's a week but I finally settled with a family and I'm on gen Two. I don't like playing with multiple family's at once though so I had to create a family for my main sims siblings because there's no story progression and I want to have some form of extended family for them so I had to make the siblings a husband or wife and give them some form of children because they for some reason won't have children of there own. Some how this turned into a rant sorry for wasting your time.😁😁
In the Sims 4, Story progression is not a thing and unplayed Sims will not get married or have children, but I recommend the mod Mccc by deaderpool, it not only adds story progression but also so much more to modify in your game and it has really helped me make to my game more interesting. Just search it up on Google, the first website should be correct, he explains a lot more about the mod there :)
If you are getting bored with your families it really sounds like you should try the random legacy challange. It gives you random task for each generation, random careers ect. Im on generation 9 at the moment XD But there are other challanges to spice up your game also!
I am doing a historical wizards family in the Sims (Medieval to today) and yesterday, I just got the FIRST baby of the 5 generation ! Her name is Betty Géraudet, daughter of Marceau Géraudet (French) and Jina Corbett (British)
i always like to start out with two families, then grow the family tree, but the sad thing is watching them grow and die, like i had betty, who i made a child at the beginning, like she was from the first generation, then when she was an adult with children it got rlly weird remembering her as a teen while she helps her teens and stuff, and so on, and especially when she moved out, i start crying so much
Can we talk about the fact that in some areas of the family tree who are all dead have like a few people who are still alive and look quite young? How on Earth?

I have 3986 generations on my ps cus I’ve been playing with this family since the sims 4 came out I think the main reason I have managed this is because I’ve done a bunch of challenges with the same family so I started the family off with the generations challenge then when I got to gen 10 I started the nots so berry challenge then I did the 100 baby challenge then I did the black widow challenge then I just went back to doing the generations challenge then I did the Disney princess challenge and then I just started to do the not so berry challenge again Cus I missed it and then when I finished it again I did a rags to riches for I think around 30 generations and then I just played normally than when I got the achievement for 100 generations I started a bunch of other challenges that I can’t remember the names of it’s just a bunch of legacy challenges
I can’t have big families, they’re hard to take care of, and I get bored, toddlers are the hardest to take care of also... 🥵
Yessss and sometimes I'd let other adult sims to take care of them autonomously or I would age them up
I have 5 generations in my Sims game. The genetics 🧬 in this game is on point.
I have a 1000 hours in the sims and none of my families got past a baby, I always spend all of my time in CAS or build mode and lose interest after playing with them for awhile. I respect so much people like you I don't know how you guys manage to stick to a family for this long.

When I have a big family like that, they tend to marry someone related (from great grand parents for exemple). I love going back to their tree to see how far they have come 😃

I started in February a challenge with a family named: Macelle. It’s a French family and it’s start in 944-946 with the birth of Enella and Louis, two orphans who love each other (they are going to have kids after that). And the family evolve through the years. I just started the four generation with the birth of Constance Géraudet, the daughter of Cécile Macelle (granddaughter of Enella and Louis) and Simon Géraudet. For the moment, only the oldest boy can be the inheritor of the family (except if there is no boy) but I think it’s going to change at the 19 century...but it’s going to be in a long time 😂

I just started playing sims 4 a month ago, usually i kept making a new household bcz i was getting bored, but now i wanted to grow my biggest household, they had 7 or 8 kids on the 3rd generation and now i'm on the 4th generation, this household has the most interesting story than my other household

I've been playing the Sims 4 since the day it came out in total I have close to 200 generations. It would be so funny if someone actually did a 100 generation challenge.! It would be amazing! I respect the people that have lots of sims like I do. It can get hell's repetitive but each generation can be different and it's great to see simmers that can do that.
i love the dedication to this family! it really motivates me to stick to the same load for a rly long time haha. keep it up!

Currently I'm on generation 14, sadly my game had a problem so my family tree doesn't show everyone. Luckily I took a picture of every couple/parents, so now I have a wall full of every generation I played with.

It's so hard to get a family tree that big of a size. I have one that has about 150 sims (including spouses) and I'm already done with it probably but you are keep going with yours. Having to make everyone get married and kids, jumping from one household to the next gets pretty stressful. Congrats on getting this far! :)
OMG. The longest generation on my record was 4 generations (in Sims 2). Now Im playing a brand new household in Sims 4 and Im about to have the first child of 3rd generation. Yesterday something hilarious happened.
The household was on max until the dog, my 1st sims and her husband died due to old age, I decided to get the oldest child of the 2nd generation to finally get married. She's a musician so I thought I wanna make her get married, pregnant and then fight with her husband so they'd get divorce.
So I can create stories where the fans and people would think she had a scandal because her wedding was held in a private house so no news leak about the wedding. I also controlled the youngest child out of the 3 (the 2nd child is adopted and she's a chef. I planned for her to not get marry and adopt 1 too), Bradley, to become a writer so I reaaaaally took great care of him like I stopped the aging when he was toddler so I could max his traits (except the Emotional Conflict trait since he had to listen to radio or play instrument).
*_BUT_* when everyone went to work and Bradley was doing some laundry, the machine broke and he got on fire. Since he was still in elementary there was no option of extinguish self. He didnt even move to run to safe route and so he was burned to death! When his sisters came home I tried make one of them to plead but the damn grim reaper didnt listen so yeah.
I laughed and cried because I invested so much on Bradley lol. 5 more days and he would have turned to teeenager. I told my brother what had happened because I was playing on his computer in his room and he said "now that's some drama" 😂
Oh well. The upcoming new child from the musician can be a writer in honour of his/her uncle Bradley lol

This looks like my legacy family tree of the Barclay/ Littlejohn I've done but one weard thing the Matriarch and patriarch is still living and had out lived several of their children, grandchildren, and some great grands. It's funny seeing them living so long lol they both have the long evity trait and the eternal youth trait as well. After the greats they label them as anesters or descendant

A tip to prevent inbreed is to keep track of your sims! This is easier in Sims 2 but it can be done in Sims 4. First you have to disable story progression by disabling aging on Househoulds that you play with (basically, if you move someone from your house, you have to make sure you mark them as playable) and afterwards you just able other Households aging, this way townies and families you don't really care for will progress. I recommend playing in rounds if you do this, because then maybe your newer sims are young adults but so are their grandparents and that'd be so unrealistic.
This is more trouble than is probably worth, but I'm still letting this here! Of course you can still keep track of your sims with story progression enabled but it's gonna be tricky if you have a LOT of households.

Whenever I have multiple siblings and move one out it removes them from the family tree. On gen 4 right now and they are all living under one roof because of it.
Oh and i thought mine was big with 5 generations 😂 i've been playing with this family for a year now it's the longest time for me

This looks like my Don Lothario family tree. He had so many kids that the game doesnt even recognize that they’re related and so much inbreeding started happening

I want to connect all the branches of the family tree in the end, but it is not possible to determine the relationship because some old dead Sims disappear from the family tree if they are not direct descendants. Disappointed:(
I actually made a complex family tree that is still going on. I have 5 generations. I even have step-siblings, half-siblings, and even some family members became aunts, uncles, or cousins through marriage (no blood). Once I had forgotten 2 sims were technically "step-cousins" and married them... their daughter is the heir for this generation
Can all of them even have a place to live? Cuz the sims 4 worlds are small (Apart from Get Together World)
dang. I make a bunch of families and Johnny Zest always ends up in the picture cause I only have the two base game neighborhoods so there’s like 4 single people available who look good.

I love this , I’ve had family trees like this too , six levels is my amount I’ve got too . What moan I’ve got is that on sims your sims know is that family in law or aunts and uncles from the side of family are not listed . Maybe we might get this with a update .
After 2 years of m Sims family tree my original two Sims have officially become 50x great grandparents.

I started a new sims 4 save with a new family over a week ago and I’m already on the 3rd generation developing the 4th.
Every single sim from all the worlds have died and been replaced by randoms. Well, not including the vampires.
In Sims 3 I had about 30 Generations. Just bought Sims 4 last year and I am at 10 Generations. I am an absolute one family player. Just go into other households to have kids that moved out have children. So, I have seen a family tree like this. I am keeping a family tree I write down (with paint on windows) where it’s easier to see how many generations and people. Also Sims 3 tended to lose parts of the family tree...
The way I could tell my family tree was long is when the great grandpa could date his great grand daughter 😂
(That was in sims 3 btw I’m only on 5th generation in sims 4)

I really love how big your family tree is and I was kinda about to have the same goal with having one family going to be a big one but I just hate that it doesnt show for example the partner too (sometimes) when they are married..
