I’m listening to my XB 33 it’s awesome and love the lights and strong bass these new designs seem flat the XB LIne was great I think closing off the radiators is hurting the performance xe 200/300 XB LINE IS WHERE THEY EXCELL. I LOVE LIVE MODE
As always, love your content. Picked up the XB33 in January for $69 new at Walmart. Just picked up the XE300 today from WM, for $78 as a used return. Tried it both with how like to listen with Bass because I'm a GenXer. Grew up with bass from the 80s. I use OH, by Ciara & Luda for all my audio test needs. Upon comparison, the XE300 is going back. The XB33, to me, is the better speaker. Maintain your excellence and peace out.
It depends on what you mean by "better". Bass is not everything about music. XB is extra bass, so that tells me you prefer a BASSIER speaker. XE is more balanced.
I bought a Sony XE200 for $100 and at first I felt the sound felt off.. but as I download the sony app to edit the sound now I enjoy the quality from it. It's a good speaker and design plus the cord.., Sony should have had a cord for those who bought the XE300
I think I remember reading articles that the market research shows that few people actually use NFC. I don't understand why......because I also find NFC very useful. But for whatever the reasons are most people don't use NFC so it is being removed from devices.
Because iPhones could never use NFC tags properly. If you tap with any iPhone any NFC tag from these speakers absolutely nothing would happen, but any Android would work. The problem is, sadly, tech that is not supported by Apple eventually and slowly fades away, and this NFC pairing tech is a great example of this. I use NFC pairing everytime on my XB43 and my Samsung but my girlfriend's iPhone doesn't do anything with it so she doesn't even notice the NFC tag exists on this speaker. It's sad but that's just how things work. It scares me how much power Apple has over the industry and the tech world, even if indirectly
@@azenyr that is a big part of why I don't like Apple. I feel like they start terrible trends, as well as make useful technology like NFC tags fall out of use just because Apple with it's ridiculous compatible with nothing hardware can't get their devices to work with it 🤦🤦🤦🤦
@@Sabundy yes I agree. Apple just supports what they specifically want, and only if they find it useful to be supported or if they can profit out of it. I myself think NFC pairing is EXTREMELY useful, but just because Apple doesn't think the same, their products don't support it. Apple itself chooses what to give to their hard paying costumers and they just accept it. It sad but oh well. I prefer that my phone supports absolutely everything (like Android does) so whatever I want or buy, 100% works with whatever phone I have. I prefer choice, but many people (iOS users) prefer to have Apple as their tech god and use whatever Apple thinks they are deserving of using lol. Whatever, it's besides the point, but yea, Apple has an insane power over the tech industry whether we like it or not, and NFC is an extremely awesome tech that never got very famous no matter how hard SONY pushed it, because iOS doesn't support it. XE300 has NFC without a button/tag…just touch your phone or tablet and you’ll be surprised how fast it connects…if phone or tablet has NFC too! I did my iPad…about 2 seconds to read and another second to activate…WOW….on XE200!

I have the xb 33/43 these speakers rock and I hear the older xb30/40 are even better in sound I’ll have to get those eventually prices are crazy these days lol I follow all your speaker reviews your entertaining esp that SOUNDCORE motion plus that speaker is something else I wonder if they are going to upgrade it more power lol more speakers.
I have both and I prefer xb since the sound feels more open and it just has more bass. if you are still looking to buy one of those two speakers i would recommend you to wait until the ult version of it comes out(their successor)
I don't have any experience with the XB series speakers, but the XE300 is a really good speaker, especially when combined with other ones. Between the XG300 and XE300, I feel like the XE300 sounds better to me, which kinda doesn't make sense.
Sony's competition is with outside listening! JBL speakers are not as good as Sony when you're listening outside. This is where people should really do some comparisons, IMO. you need an extreme type of speaker to DJ an outside party, when speaking about JBL and other bands. with Sony, even the xb23-43 can be heard outside (I've led a party/gathering with each of them. I've also gotten compliments (outside)from JBL Speaker owners.
I got xb33 on sell for 99$ I don’t like how it looks first but growing overtime on me Pro tips- trun off clear+ audio and if u want more high then use EQ Over all sound is good enough for me + as sony style xb33 is very versatile and price just right(99$)
I think it odd how SONY quality in recent years with every aspect of their product line has gone on a sliding scale (down)- with the exception of their cameras. The XB33 has been deemed the much more superior bluetooth speaker, why would they make something that was good into something poor? It's like they are trying to be more like Apple, in the sense they are relying solely on the brand name to blind people to their new line of garbage. Apple is not a company to emulate in the way they treat their customers, for the most part Apple = exorbitant cost = outright, outrageous contempt!
What do you mean deeper? The bass response is way deeper with the XB33, even the XB32. The XE300 bass peaked at around 160 Hz and that made it sound very cheap compared to all other speakers.

The bass is very hollow and the sound becomes very muddy when increase the volume and reminds me about a 20-year old A4tech pc speaker... xb33 is light years ahead with more linear and refined sound although not excelent either. Sony is just fighting against themselves with every new generation...

Xb33 is definitely more open sounding . I am not so sure about xe300. I guess have to listen in real to judge clearly
I definitely have to agree which is crazy because the xe is supposed to have like a 360 audio type of sound.

Bought XB33. Good speaker. Then I bought XB43. The sound is so good that I bought another one and pair into Stereo mode. Live Mode rocks!

Seems the XE has more bass but overall it sounds cheaper than the XB33 IMO. The new one sounds more muffled
New one has directional sound end support more transmission Bluetooth 5.2 A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, SSP, SBC, AAC, LDAC 😊
Yamaha boards in the xe300 and xg300 are a more balanced sound, don’t look for bass head in Yamaha but quality and nuances

Xe -300 its a hard pass get the XG-300 and thank me later i got mine on sale for 200 bucks.
I didn't like the xb33. It sounded too muddy for that reason I returned it
