Well done miss. !! Bloody scammers. See how she was getting frustrated when you kept changing the cards. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Barstanders!!
An acquaintance of mine, recognising a scam, went off into a long, heart-rending spiel about how pleased she was that somebody had called, as she was having a terrible day. The iron wouldn't work, the jam on the stove wasn't jelling, the washing on the line was getting wetter in the rain. And on. And on. The caller hung up. There's a wonderful RUclips channel on this problem: "Hello, this is Lennie." It's hilarious.
I hate scammers with a vengeance. They call my mum, who is ninety-five and has Alzheimer's. Vile, individuals who scam the vulnerable and do not give a damn.
My favourite call was someone who told me on detail that my recent injuries from my car accident would be paid for through their company and my car would be replaced. I told him how delighted I was and he was soooo supportive and I then added that I was really delighted at his news as I couldn’t drive and had never had a car…..he hung up.
@@hihosilverlining You could have told him that you are about to take delivery of a special order prestige car and his insurance payout would certainly cover the dealership price, you could also tell him that you intend to sell that car for a huge profit to someone who is not prepared to wait for his car. They hate it when you give them a fictitious number and then say you've made a mistake I'll go and get my glasses and stay away for about 15 minutes and then keep giving them fictional numbers. The longest I kept someone onto the phone was 1 hour 45 minutes.
A colleague took a call from the "Citizens Advice Bureau". After stringing him along he then said "You do know who you are talking to, it's the Nottinghamshire Police". The whole office burst out laughing and the caller hung up!
When it happens to me, I play games with them. My favourite method? Let them lead the conversation. For example, if they ask me to go to my computer, I’ll say I only have a tablet. When they subsequently say to go to my tablet, I’d say, you said that you wanted me to use a computer. Also, if they ask for my date of birth, I only give them the date. When they subsequently ask for the month & year, I don’t give it. When they ask why, I simply say, “you didn’t ask for the month or the year, you only asked for the date, so that’s all you’re getting from me”. When they ask for my Month & Year of birth, I simply say, it’s too late, you had your chance, but you blew it. Sometimes it’s best to actually play these fools at their own game.
Good for you. A friend of mine told the scammer she was going to get her bank card and then left the person on the phone! By the time she went back to her phone, the scammer had gone!
Whenever I get a scammer I like to play along sometimes and act like an old woman who can’t hear properly so keep asking them to repeat themselves (although sometimes I really can’t understand what they’re saying with their foreign accents.) other times I just put the phone down straight away- it depends what sort of mood I’m in and how bored I am. My thinking is that the longer I waste their time the less time they have scamming someone innocent
Well done. She was getting a angrier and angrier. When I get these calls and they ask If I'm the householder I say no, I'm the cleaner. That stops them as well. Ha ha let's keep playing them at their own game.
I often get phone calls and cold callers at the door trying to get me to have loft insulation or cavity wall stuff and I always tell them I rent the property. I even offer to give them my ‘landlords’ phone number but they always decline and apologise for bothering me.
I appreciate the way you *”kindly got handy”* with your Tesco, then M&S, then Waitrose, then Lidl and finally your premium *Scam card.* Good job lady.😂😂😂
I love all the different cards that Sharon offered and you could hear the scammer gettng increasingly frustrated as she tried to steer the call back to Barclays. 😂😂😂
That lady on phone was more younger, and confused the scammer, but they call elderies in 80s, 90s and try scamming them. And they aren’t aware most of them…. Vulnerable people need a proper scam education to fight back, for real !
The more time we keep these shameless scammers on the phone, the less time they have to scam other people and we get a bit of fun along the way too. And putting these videos out there, raising even more awareness can only be a good thing also. For more people to see exactly how they operate
Testco cards hilarious I promise I could not stop laughing. 🤣🤣🤣 I am so proud of you ma’am for doing this. They have taken so much money from people, again I am so proud of you for doing this. Thank you for a good laugh. God bless you!!!
I often get calls telling me they can save me money on my phone bill and I tell them i don't want to save money, I like it when the bill is too high. they never know how to deal with that lol
I blame BT for starting all this when they decided to outsource their call centres to India and trained all the locals while putting English people out of work to satisfy their greed.
When I get a call like this about personal injury I say “I’m glad you’ve rang, I have two broken arms and two broken legs and my phone is sellotaped to my head as I’m waiting for you to ring”
@LornaThomas Next time they call you a Mother f-----r , tell them they're a Father f-----r ! That is the biggest insult you can give to these cultures . Even more insulting to them if it's a bloke you're talking too .
Wasting the scammers time is THE BEST way to deter them from their shenanigans. Keeping her on the phone to you means she's not on the phone to poor elderly Doris successfully conning her out of her pension pot.

I had an African scammer on the phone so I told him I was a witch and that I put a dark spell on him so that he will be in danger whenever he crossed a road if I kept scamming people. I think he got the message.
Brilliant, well done! I just usually say I'm getting my card and put the phone down on the desk for ages! I've heard of some people using a loud piercing whistle down the line too.
What gets me is the scammers always get angry when they realize their time has been wasted🤦♀️ but what do they expect. If they want to be taken seriously then they should get a REAL job 🤭😝🤷♀️

Great stuff, these scam callers are pieces of s*** that karma will surely deal with. They prey on vulnerable people to earn their living? Disgusting people who should get back under their stones.
Why in this day when government seems to know everything about us and what we are doing is it nearly impossible for the authorities to arrest and convict and imprison these thieves?
When I get scam calls I tell them no-one is in. When they ask who I am I tell them I'm the burglar
🤣🤣🤣
Good one 😅
Brilliant
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If I hear an Indian accent, I put the phone down.
Why don't governments, Amazon and Microsoft pressure the Indian government to crack down on these scammers?
Probably because the government and police get backhanders

When the victim is more clever then the criminal 😂😂
