Hey there. Bought a transmission from you guys, TKO 600. Actually, Proformance Unlimited took care of that and you guys fulfilled the order. I'm about to install this on a custom built 408W EFI engine from Proformance Unlimited and this overview has greatly helped me with becoming familiar with the install process. Thank you very much for making this video. It truly is helping me a lot as I've never done a transmission install before.

I have one in my 66 impala ss.I bought the kit it installed with ease. Chevy never made a trans that would hold up this one will!!

Got my tko 600 installed in my 69 Camaro purchased everything from sst. Have about 250 miles on it. I'll be replacing the oil at around 350 miles. But I noticed that after 100 miles the shifter handle buzzes at anything over 3000rpm and it's really annoying. Everything shifts great and it works amazing, just don't like the buzzing. Have you guys heard about that at all?
Please give our tech guys a call at 888-609-0070. They can help you troubleshoot and find the root of the problem. The shifter handle bolts should be the first thing you check, if blue Loctite wasn't applied before they were installed, they could easily become loose. Make sure the two bolts are still tight. If that's not the problem, call us and we'll help you get the buzz to stop.
Do you need to run a different fluid when using the carbon lined synchros? Will TREMEC HP MTF still be good to use?
No, you will use the same fluid. TREMEC HP MTF will work great even if you upgrade to carbon-lined synchros.
How much does the top plate go for? Tko 600 5sp. I just purchased this trans from a friend and don't want to cut my tunnel on my chevelle.
They are only available if you purchase the machined transmission from us.
Do you make a shifter for the forward position or does anyone?.

What's a trans like that trans going for?

@@SilverSportTransmissions there's a guy in my neighborhood selling hey brand new one comes with bright red bellhousing scattershield and all that for 750 OBO it's still wrapped up in plastic
@@PROATV13rb Sorry, I didn't pay close enough attention to which video you commented on, we have a similarly titled TKX video. The TKX is $2795. The TKO is out of stock and is no longer produced.
So what is this Trans really .. Is it a remake of some defunct brand transmission ?
It was first designed for the 5-liter Mustang, but is now made for the aftermarket with multiple shifter positions, several gear ratios to choose from, and other features described in the video. You can read more about the TKO here: www.tremec.com/menu/tko/
