Hi thank you for this formula and just subbed because your videos are everything! Is it best to stick to one extract or can you add more? Also what is the shelf life for this serum? thank you
Hello, thank you so much! You can use as many as extracts you like. Sky is the limit.Just make sure they are water soluble, as this water based formula, and don’t forgot to discount the water amount per extract. For example: if you add additional 2% extract like say green tea, then you can reduce to percentage from the water and so on. As per the shelf life. It depends on the preservative used. If you don’t use preservative a month max. Hope this helps
Yes you can however HA Powder act as gelling agent so you ll need to use xanthan or some other gum/thickener to have the gel form other wise it will be all liquid with HA solution
Hello, both are not compatible with this formula it’s only water based. Both are soluble in oil hence an emulsification needed. Watch my retinol serum video it’s more suitable
Hi Sofia, Low HA doesn’t make that silky touch. Needs to be mixed with high HA. If you don’t have it, you can use it with Xanthan gum . Start even lower than 0.5, something like 0.3, and you can increase it, if you don’t like the texture. Start small Amounts like 30gr. I don’t show this in the video but you can dissolve HA and the gum together in glycerine first before adding to the water. Let me know how you get on!
Hi :) This indeed looks like a good performance serum! I have spotted you use a glass pipette for adding cucumber extract, right? Did you find a way to properly clean it after use? If yes would you mind sharing? Thanks and have a great day!

Great video Can i replace the hylornic acid by xanthan gum ? and what about the new pH if i replace them And finally thanks for this great information💗
Hello, glad you found the video useful. You can replace it, if you are using a low molecular HA or HA solution. I am not sure what the ph would be because I wouldn’t know what type/quality of xanthan you are using but it shouldn’t impact the ph much since you ll be a very low amount. Hope this helps
Hello, yes you can use L ascorbic acid. Though it’s not the most stable form vitamin c. Start with low percentage like 0.5-1%, I would highly recommend to get a ph strip or a meter to measure the ph, as I didn’t use l ascorbic in this formula. So I wouldn’t exactly know how the ph will be impacted.
Great video.. HA is so expensive is my country. Do you have any other alternatives that I can use as a gelling agent? And another ingredient to use has similar skin benefits to HA? Thank you in advance
Thank you so much. Re: HA alternatives there are a few things you can do 1-) you can make a gel with HA and use that multiples over more economical way, so buy the lowest amount of powder you can afford. Use 1 HA : 10 water ratio and make a long lasting gel 2-) if you can’t afford it at all, HA acts as a humectant so you either increase glycerin ratio or if you can find propenadiol/sodium lactate/sodium pca these should be good alternatives. 3-) as for the gelling agent xanthan gum is a popular choice, you can look for guar gum and experiment too. Hope this helps
