@Royal Haroon Hi! My best advice is to understand the mechanism behind acne, and focus on eliminating different parts of this mechanism. You need a couple of things to create acne, and sometimes these things happen because of genetics, hormones, puberty, skincare habits etc. Whatever the cause is: try to not stress about it, and teach yourself how acne is formed and how to eliminate some of these parts, so it will be harder for your skin to have acne. What worked for me (33 years old and have had acne for a longgggg time): benzoyl peroxide to kill P. Acnes bacteria. But don’t leave it on overnight because that will cause irritation!! Get a 5% facewash or gel and leave that in your face for 2 minutes in the morning and then wash off. That will kill the bacteria that is essential in forming acne. BP does not have to be expensive. You can try niacinamide which might help with oil production, but that did nothing for me. You can use salicylic acid to clear the pores of oil, but that was always a bit too irritating for me. Instead: glycolic acid works great for me! That helps with clearing the pores a bit as well, as well as exfoliating the dead skin cells and keratin plugs which all helps with keeping pores cleared. So you want to mainly tackle bacteria and build up of oil/dead skin, if you find products that help you with that - that you like - you will be doing a great job already! Remind yourself that you can’t do more than you can, and what is left beyond that is just what it is. Gut health and diet might be important too, but so is not stressing too much, so just try to stay interested in learning about skin and health, and understanding that you can only do your best! You are wonderful the way you are, it’s okay to want to grow and make the best of things and yourself, but don’t forget to breathe and love yourself :). Ps. A mild basic facewash and (SPF) moisturizer is also important, so that you can clean your face without drying it out and moisturize without clogging pores. I personally really love Cerave foaming facewash and Cerave Pm facial moisturizing lotion. I didn’t like The Ordinary moisturizer, but I do love their glycolic acid toner, lactid acid serum and the red peeling solution. You will definitely get glowing skin from these! Paula’s choice SPF products are great for me but a bit more pricey.
Hey guys. Fellow doc over here. But from another country. Just wanted to point out, that these “higher” prices for medical grade acids (and your comments about it being expensive because of research and pharmaceutical monopoly)… are only that high in your country (and maybe a few others). Take for example Insulin. You can buy it for 7 bucks in my city. I’ve heard it can cost 300 USD or more in the Us. That’s not the price of research. That’s the price of pharmaceutical companies abuse. So, 🙌🏻 for The Ordinary and you, for teaching people about their options!!
I'm 72, and I wish I could post a pic of me after three years of The Ordinary, particularly Buffet with Copper, Niacinamide, and Rx Tretinoin. Weekly, use of the AHA/BHA , Salicylic masque, and Flavanone mud. Love them!
Please make a video on dark underarms. 1. Why people get dark underarms. 2. Which hair removal method should be followed for preventing dark underarms. 3. Treatments and product recommendations for dark underarms.
I’m so happy I found this channel. I don’t watch any skin care/derm videos because it’s hard to trust what you see. Doctorly has changed that for me and I’m loving your content! Can’t wait for your next upload.
A You Tube Video, Pampered Wolf, has videos on The Ordinary and the application process. She mainly does cosmetics so look for the ones on The Ordinary. She is a huge fan and really explains the procedure and it’s job. She’s the one I found and fell in love with The Ordinary. I used it for about 10 yrs. Miraculous.
The Ordinary's Most Under-rated Products: 1. Buffet and Buffet & Copper Peptides 2. Amino Acids + B5 serum 3. Marine Hyaluronics (Algae extracts) 4. Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% 5. Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid 6. Mandelic Acid 10% + Hyaluronic Acid These are so so good but always get overlooked by reviewers!
as someone who uses 2, 3, 6 on the list, they are all sooooooo amazing, i love the marine hyaluronics over every other hyaluronic acid serum i’ve tried

Their Lactic Acid is seriously a holy grail. I always pair it with The Ordinary's "The Buffet", and it literally transforms my skin texture in real time. Amazing products for the price.
Can you describe the texture you had before and how it changed? I have some texture to my skin and am trying to figure out how to get rid of it. So happy this worked for you!
@@CherrieWells my skin is a combination between oily (T-zone) and dry. I can’t describe it well other than rough, almost bumpy. Make sure it isn’t too irritating to your skin, but I found pairing it with something super moisturizing to balance its effects. Also, sorry for just now seeing this. Hope it’s not too late and you have it a shot already!
I’d love to see a video on a safe skin care routine for pregnant women (face and belly), reduction of stretch marks (before and after getting them. I’ve learned so much already and adding retinol to my routine has been the best thing I’ve done so far! Keep these videos coming.
Retinol is a Vitamin A derivative and so dangerous to use while pregnant. I really hope you haven’t been using that while you’re expecting or even breastfeeding if you plan to!
Dr. Alexis Stephens talks about how azelaic acid and bakuchiol (natural retinol alternative) is safe while pregnant in some videos. She may have specific videos as well, I’d double check. Retinol is definitely not safe!
2 kids zero stretch marks bc i used pure vitamin E "Capsule". Poke a hole in the capsule with a needle & apply directly to the skin/stretch marks. My daughter had horrible red & purple stretch marks that came on almost overnight & after 1 month of using it daily (after bath at bedtime) they shrunk & are white in color. No red/purple. It can prevent them but also is the Absolute BEST if you already have them
In South Africa we have the product Desmastine. I am small framed and have strech marks from picking up weight (buttocks, thighs) but when I had twin I used Dermastine religiously and do not have a single stretch mark over my stomach!
I just want to say that because of you wonderful guys, I added azelaic acid into my skincare routine. My skin tends on the dry side. I get annoying hormonal acne in my chin area. Sometimes it looks like I have a red beard. Even when I don't have a breakout, the area is marred by hyperpigmentation. Aannnndd I'm pregnant. So no retinoids or salicylic acid. :( Adding azelaic acid, which I got from The Ordinary due to affordability and I really wanted *this* particular ingredient, has helped tremendously with the acne which has all but disappeared and the hyperpigmentation. THANK YOU for talking about azelaic acid, and thanks for featuring this product, because it really is affordable.
The only products I now use are from the Ordinary. I use the Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil, Niacinamide, Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution. And twice a week I use the AHA/BHA Peel and I gotta say my skin has NEVER looked better. These products are absolute miracle workers and I’m so glad I finally discovered them for myself. I will NEVER use anything else. And the best thing is that you don’t need to use a lot from each of these products so they last a good while. I use my Niacinamide once a day and I’ve had it for almost 2 months!!! It’s amazing how far a lil amount truly goes a long way with these serums. 2-3 drops max is all you need from each serum.
Dr. Muneeb Shah ! My acne journey of 2 years is very horrible...but ure lacture and recommendations is change my life.. because my acne is cure....so thank you so much . ALLAH bless u both.
I loved the commentary on cost of research, profit-making pharmaceutical companies and other smaller companies that try to make use of the research to create their own product ranges with different pricing and efficacy. As a consumer, we tend to ignore such details that are definitely noteworthy.
I’ve used The Ordinary for about 10 years. NEVER disappoints. I’ve made errors but that was on me. It’s a routine that requires patience as do most. I’m devoted now and they work.
I’ve used the ordinary products and have found no irritation or skin damage. A little goes a long way . Good to know the the retinol one is a good starter . Thanks Doctors
The Niacinamide is the ONLY product that has been effective at diminishing the pigment spots on my hand and face. It's a slow process, but persistence is key!
@Nona Shibusa still a work in progress! I started with The Ordinary which has 10% niacinamide but now progressed to the 20% from Paula's Choice. I think it could take a whole year, as mine have been with me for many years and are particularly stubborn on the sides of my face and back of my hands. . I also noticed they started fading when I took collagen.
For me the Niacinamide serum from The ordinary didn’t really worked on my hyperpigmentation from acne scar, but the Axis-y dark spot correcting glow serum (which contains niacinamide) worked really well in just 2-3 months
No kidding: I used the Caffein ECGC serum from the Ordinary under my eyes to help with my dark under eyes and I actually noticed that my lashes grew longer and stronger. By the way, the solution did not help my under eyes circles.
I can attest that it does work for puffiness specifically in the mornings and it does a great job at it. I do use it along Kiehl’s avocado eye cream since I don’t feel this eye cream is hydrating enough. All in all, I think it’s a great eye serum👍🏾
I can’t emphasize how much I’m benefiting from these videos, the way you present is so easy and clear and now I understand these ingredients more and know what to get for my skin, so thank you so much 😊
I would like to see you put together an example skin care routine for different problems ppl struggle with. Like from morning to evening day by day routine than we could base off of. I think that could help people who are overwhelmed with all the products and layering, different products and different brands.
@@ZelenoJabko they are very knowledgeable, but I mean that they seem a lot more transparent when it comes to sponsorships and biases. No one does RUclips without monetary gain, and it's so disappointing whenever we realize their true purposes behind each video. So far they have been a lot more transparent, disclosing their relationship when reviewing the Selfless line, directly stating who they are sponsored by and why, etc.
@@ZelenoJabko knowledge and honesty aren't synonyms, though. I perfectly get what the other commenter is saying. They educate the public so we don't have to spend crazy money on products that aren't really worth the price tag.

we talk mostly about face... but lactic acid happens to be fantastic for skin on my bootie. I often get sweats and some irritations and lactic acid removes it all over night and keeps the skin very nice! totally recommend if you struggle with this too :)
Perfect timing for this video for me as I just purchased several products from The Ordinary - retinol, glycolic toner, niacinamide, lactic acid, and hyaluronic acid. So far have been really liking them but also want the pro advice because their lineup can be a bit daunting with so, so many options. The pricepoint is INSANE when you can get a complete skincare regimen with all the bells and whistles for less than the price of many drugstore brand individual products. As others have chimed in, I’m all for you guys doing more reviews for this brand. I’m a huge lactic acid fan after years of youthful trauma from that damn apricot scrub (*groan*) and the L.A. Is so much more gentle and effective. Great video again guys!
Their niacinamide has been an amazing product for my skin. My skin has really taken on a new dimension since using it. Thanks Guys for the great review ✅
Mine too, less oiliness, / shine in summer. Just started using it, a month ago, My concern is some say DONT use with Vitamin C, some say DO. I'M a bit confused 😕
I started using the ordinary 8 months ago. At first I was hesitant because of the price. I used a lot of prescribed medications and did laser treatments but only The ordinary niacinamide fade my acne and acne scars. Thank you for this review ✨

Could you please do a video on Dry, Rough and Bumpy skin. Love your videos. I love when both of you fill in the gaps for each other so everything is covered in the topic. Thank you!
I would love to see a follow up on why you don't like the vitamin C products from The Ordinary. I have both the serum and the powder that you mix with face cream, and I don't want to waste my time with something that isn't working! Thanks!
When you mention pharmaceutical companies, two things come to mind: the Epi-Pen being marked up, and Sandoz bumping up their prices to pharmacies 200%, both of which have downstream effects on the consumer. The Ordinary was a big disruptor in the beauty industry and I'm hoping Estee Lauder doesn't mess it up.
And the Insulin crisis... I have found out that the initial scientific creators gave up the pattern to the world for the greater good but now , in certain countries like North America countries, there's a certain heavy monopoly on a life threathening drugs... Such a shame...
They propably will mess it up! loreal messed decleor up, thinned all the formula's & cheap packaging, loreal own most of the cosmetic market, always google' 1st Everyone, I could list too manyyyyyyyy. Ty
@@michaelmike3418 Well, Deciem just announced that they are shuttering a bunch of brands so let's see what they do with The Ordinary now. Also, I love that you are still mad about how they diluted-slash-killed what made Decleor special.
The niacinamide "irritation" I have experienced when my skin is more sensitive, I get with CeraVe PM and The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% is the same. Mild temporary tingling and flushing/redness that is all gone in a few minutes. The difference is that the 10% makes such a huge difference on my pores that I don't feel the need to use a pore minimizing primer. About a month after I had run out, I hated my skin and my pores looked huge. I went back to the serum and started to love my skin again. I would love them to do studies at the higher % as I feel it makes a huge difference with pore visibility/pore size.
I recently bought 5 bottles of these products I want to use them to treat melasma, I had no Idea how to use them, such a good presentation now I know the correct way to use them. Also Doctor's your skin is flawless, thank you.
i agree! i used to go into the ordinary and just buy everything and have no darn idea how to use a damn thing! im so happy i came across this channel - they really explain it to us like we’re 5 😫
The Ordinary Niacinamide has completely changed my skin. I’m 32 and I was still getting acne and those little bumps almost like pimples but not all over my forehead which would become so itchy and dry and in the sun you could see them covering my forehead. My skin was red and inflamed and along my chin I would have a lot of sebum coming out of my pores along with the sore pimples both that would come to a head and blind pimples which would be on my chin, under the chin/neck and cheeks mainly.I wouldn’t have a lot of blackheads but a few. All those issues have gone. I still get a spot here or their once a month. But everything else is gone lol My skin is also glowing my makeup goes on better. It started to improve my skin in a week. I know it’s that’s because everything else including diet stayed the same. I have been using it now for a little under a year and for $9 Australian I can’t believe how good it is. I sound like an ad 🤣🤣🤣 I’m just so happy 😃
Omg my skin now in this moment is the same as yours like my skin is a sebum factory i had clear skin and just in a sudden way my skin became like this and i am looking for some solutions thank you for your comment
You guys educate me and crack me up at the same time! Thank you for all the great information! I am 56 years old and have taken really good care of my skin over the years. People often tell me I look much younger. However, I have one odd problem - my eyelids are crinkly! Nothing helps! I would love it if you would address older skin issues and touch on the eyelid area. Thank you for everything!
Azelaic Acid (the Ordinary and another company I can't remember, right now) has done *amazing* things for my skin in a very short period of time. Reduced pitting acne scars, reduced acne, reduced discussion. It's amazing!
Really? I’ve been interested but my skin is so sensitive I’m always afraid to try anything that’s not directly from the dermatologist. What’s a short amount of time, 12 weeks , 8 weeks? Also, do you know if the a acid by The Ordinary has any fragrance or perfume ?
Yes! I'd love a vitamin C special!! There's so many contradicting claims about what it does, and I don't know in combination with which ingredients it works well and with which things it clashes
I love the Niancimide. It has really worked magic with my skin. Used to be really oily and constantly having pimples have been a normal thing for me, soon 37. Bought the niamcimide last October and it quickly made my skin less oily and since then I have had ONE pimple. Wish I had known about it sooner. Their rosehip and squalane oils are also good, does wonders to the skin during our dry winters here in Sweden if/when moisturizer is not enough. And without making my skin more oily or acne prone (like coconut oil can be).
I bought the 10% niacinamide with zinc because I wanted the zinc to treat my neck after retinol neck irritation. It worked very well and it was inexpensive.
We have just moved to Hong Kong (from Tokyo) and it’s incredibly hot and humid here - my skin was not pleased. After watching the video, I went out and bought all the suggested TO products. 😂 Did the salicylic masque > lactic acid > moisturizer and already my skin is feeling better. Thank you Doctorly!
I would love a video with a list of top 10 ingredients to avoid in skincare. Can't always buy the products you mention in other countries so would love to be able to assess products I can access based on ingredients they don't contain. Thank you!
I am so blessed to have found your channel! I have been struggling with acne from the age of about 25, fast forward a few years and I’ve been at a loss. I’m just re starting my skincare routine now I have a better understanding on what I’m doing thanks to you guys! Wish me luck!!
Can you do a layering regime video which actually references how often you use things like retinol/ lactic/ glycolic/ vitamin c/ niacinimide and what you shouldn't use together, what's better used in the morning etc? There are so many products out there now it's a little crazy working out an at home routine.

@@kittylover9790 i’ve seen somewhere and also based on my experience, the most popular combo TO serums for multilayering are Retinol -> Alpha arbutin -> Niacinamide. It gives you the best result especially to brighten your skin and reduces dark spots. But idk for any other acids tho.
I use the lactic acid and retinoid mentioned (not on the same days!) I DEFINITELY GET THE GLASS SKIN EFFECT. my acne is there but like 10% of what is was and it wasn't much to begin with. I just love their products!
Try their "The buffet" for added moisture with the Lactic Acid. It's a game changer. I also started using their rose hip seed oil a couple weeks ago, and within a week it's cleared my moderate acne. :)
I use and love both the niacinamide 10% with zinc, and the retinol with squalane (squalene). The niacinamide serum did WONDERS for my hormonal acne and really helped lessen oil production on my normally very oily skin. It also moisturizes enough that between this and my sunblock in the morning, I don't need anything else. And at night I tap over the niacinamide with The Ordinary rose oil. I find that tapping over is best because rubbing can cause some pilling. And the retinol is amazing as I feel like my skin is fresh and glows the next morning. To be stored in the fridge is feels refreshing to apply. And of course the cost is unbeatable. You couldn't find a good single product for the cost of all 3 of their products I use. Although I prefer cleaner (greener) ingredients, my skin has never been happier!
I just started using Azelaic acid from a ordinary, used one whole tube and I use vitamin c and some other serums and retinol over the counter , my hyperpigmentation has finally started to fade and I really think this is what did it along with all my other skin care of course.
@@auroraruna I am not sure but closer to the end of the tube, but everyone is different but my spots are hard to remove I have done chemical peels at a clinic and I have a at home IPL and I also did micro needling with PRP two months ago so that might have helped. Best of luck on your skin care journey 😁
My top products by The Ordinary are: 1. Retinol 1% in Squalane (I use it most nights. The only nights I don't are the two nights a week I exfoliate. Those nights I use a much lower percentage from a different brand- 0.3%) 2. 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc (I use it nightly before my Retinol) 3. The Ordinary Peeling Solution ( Once a week) 4. Hyaluronic Acid (Every morning on damp skin, before my moisturizer but after my Vitamin C serum) 6. Glycolic Acid 7% (Once a week) 7. Cold Pressed Rosehip oil (Every night on top of my moisturizer) - I tried the Caffeine Solution under my eyes every morning for 6 months and honestly never noticed a difference. But puffiness has never been an issue for my eyes as much as dark circles have and fine lines (now that I'm almost 40).
I second your comments on the caffeine solution. I've been using it for about the same length of time and haven't seen any noticeable results. It's a dud for me.
What do you think of my skincare routine? 1. Cleanser - salicylic acid cleanser- The Inkey List. 2. Hydrate - Hyloronic Acid serum - The ordinary. 3. Treat - Niacinimide serum - The Ordinary, azelaic acid suspention- The Ordinary 4. Moisturizer - Vitamin B, C, and E moisturizer - The Inkey List SPF - Bare republic mineral sunscreen face gel lotion. I have oily/ acne prone skin and my concerns are pimples, acne scars, face brightening, dark spots. 😃
I use the ordinary lactic acid 5% under my 0.3 PC’s retinol it’s a good combination for me and not irritating at all, when my skin is a little dry I mix marine hyaluronics with the lactic acid 🤷🏻♀️
Again another sensational video filled with fabulous advice & information-thank you ! 🙏 I’m 6 months into using The Ordinary at 52 yo I’ve spent way too much time in our harsh Aussie sun & my skin paid the price! Seriously The Ordinary products have been my holy grail to lighten my hyperpigmentation, soften my harsh wrinkles and give me more hydration. Can confirm with the niacinamide. The 10% ordinary made me break out and get irritated, but I switched to a lower strength one (beauty of joseon propolis and niacinamide) and it feels great
In Germany we have several brands that carry hair care products containing caffeine against hair loss. I'm talking shampoo, conditioner, tonic, scalp treatment, supplements - the whole shabang. And they have been around for years and years. I've been using some and actually noticed a decrease of fallout!
@@scc6457 You mean brands? I've used the Plantur21 line as well as the Plantur 39 Hyaluron line. I liked both. I've also tried the Priorin Liquid and the Priorin pills and honestly the pills helped the most. They are expensive but they did make a huge difference for me.
Hi Dr. Maxfield and Dr. Shah!! Very important question: A lot of people (including myself) cannot tolerate Retinoids and our skin doesn't get used to it.... Is there a favorable alternative? You're both life savers!!! Thank you so much!!!
I really like The Ordinary 5% Lactic Acid and have been using it 3 time a week. It's gentle on my dry / aging skin and is a great exfoliant. Argh! Was so hoping you’d talk about the TO Granactive Retinol. Where it sits in the Retinol family, and who it’s good for. Retinols are a bit counterintuitive in which ‘strengths’ they are. Thanks for the rest though, I put on my Salicylic acid mask while I watched the video!
Retinols are good for pretty much everything (acne, aging, pigmentation), but finding formulations that don't cause irritation is the challenge. The granactives are supposed to be much less irritating than the others, so I hope you live outside Canada, because The Ordinary granactive retinoids are no longer available for purchase from the Canadian Deciem site.
I was debating whether to purchase TO Retinol as I was comparing TO retinol products for under 10$ and some other brands such as Obagi, ZO from 60$- 80$. Are more expensive retinol more effective?
I started using ordinary's niacinamide from yesterday and I really needed this video right now. Glad I bought the ordinary niacinamide. Thanks for the info guys..
I really appreciate this video because I just got the lactic acid a week ago and I couldn’t figure out when to use it or what to mix it with or how to use it and I didn’t realize I could just use it once or twice a week. This video really helps a lot thanks!
Their niacinamide did jack nothing for my oily ass skin after using it daily/nightly for a year+ and going through 2 big bottles so i was pretty disenchanted with The Ordinary after that but I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THEIR CAFFIENE, my god its glorious, without it i look like a zombie each morning. I know the effects are temporary but its tooooo good and affordable enough that i put it on each day even if im not heading out.
I had dealt with acne for yearrsss and honestly tried literally everything . I even resulted to acne pills and used curology for a while . Curology worked but got expensive really quick & out of nowhere I began breaking out using it. I have very acne prone skin . The ordinary has literally saved my skin . Proof that skincare does not have to be expensive to be effective .
Their Azelaic Acid and Niacinamide are awesome. My acne prone and scarred oily skin has looked its best since I used these products from The Ordinary. I have been using the Buffet with Peptides too, which seems great but not sure how efficacious it really is. It will be amazing if both of you can review about it too. @@cameront3596 It would be interesting to see a derm perspective on it. People have asked Dr Dray but I don't see her recommending it simply due to the three formulas all containing fragrance and she'd probably question the cost since her channel isn't really about pushing gadgets or expensive stuff. There are also nano mist spray bottles that can be used for toners/essences (none that claim to penetrate 20 layers but better than just spraying or swiping on your skin). So happy to realize I use these products you recommend in my routine. I just found out I have high levels of 5-alpha-reductase in my blood and it shows on my skin. I started treating these areas every night with Differin (a retinoid) (or The Ordinary's Retinol 2% in Squalane) or The Ordinary's Mandelic Acid alternating. Then, I put on The Ordinary's Alpha Arbutin + Vit. C serum and the Azelaic Acid Suspension. Additionally, I derma roll every 2 weeks and use the Salicylic Acid 2% Masque once a week. I also put zink oxide cream on breakouts and use SPF during the day and heavily moisturize with hyaluronic body lotion day and night. And holy moly has the appearance of my skin improved when it comes to overall underlying redness and pigmentation since using the Azelaic Acid! However, I will switch back to using The Ordinary's Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate in Vit. F and the Alpha Arbutin separately, because the smell of the combined product is not so nice (even my husband commented on it as I use it on my arms) and the Vit. C colours skin and stains textiles a bit orangey (so I suppose, it's already oxidized or at least not stable).
Thank you for posting this video. I just purchased some products from the ordinary specifically because the ingredients are so clearly marked so I know exactly which skincare goals I am treating, but I wasn’t sure which products were more hype vs. actual results, so thank you!
I'm a gymnast, and when we have thick callouses from uneven bars rip off, we apply zinc oxide cream, (heavy percentage), and I believe that zinc in general has an astringent quality/effect. Oral lozenges containing zinc as a supplement to fight colds does the same thing, for me anyway, feels like it absorbs fluids, (including saliva when I've used the oral lozenges). Drying in general.
You guys should talk about fourth ray beauty! I haven’t seen any credited sources talk about if it’s actually good skincare or just nice to look at. This video was great!! Love it

Omg that’s wonderful. I like them a lot. I’m so glad it helped you.
I have been using The Ordinary products for 3 years now and my skin has never looked or felt better ❤️
Just loved your honest comment. I am a doctor too. A physiologist. And I am a fan of The Ordinary.
I would love if you guys talked about your favorite in office treatments like Microneedling, Hydrafacial, lasers, etc!

Same I just found them and I’ve been binging on their videos.
Miraculous.
And they’re not bad to look at 😉😊
This is my favorite line because I don't feel like I'm paying for the packaging and you always get so much more!
The Ordinary's Most Under-rated Products:
1. Buffet and Buffet & Copper Peptides
2. Amino Acids + B5 serum
3. Marine Hyaluronics (Algae extracts)
4. Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%
5. Alpha Arbutin 2% + Hyaluronic Acid
6. Mandelic Acid 10% + Hyaluronic Acid
These are so so good but always get overlooked by reviewers!
This would be a good review video
Whats your skin type?
as someone who uses 2, 3, 6 on the list, they are all sooooooo amazing, i love the marine hyaluronics over every other hyaluronic acid serum i’ve tried

Wow
@@CherrieWells my skin is a combination between oily (T-zone) and dry. I can’t describe it well other than rough, almost bumpy.

Retinol is not pregnancy safe!
Thank you so much for explaining the complicated and overwhelming world of skincare. I love your videos! ❤
I need the Vitamin C video. Other than tretinion, it’s sort of one of the corner stones of my skin routine and I’m worried that I’m wasting my time.
Same here ❤
How long did it take? I always wonder if it will lighted the area AROUND my dark spots which I clearly don't want...
@@jtidema please read my reply.
@@Yellowpfp019 use some with a q tip

I can attest that it does work for puffiness specifically in the mornings and it does a great job at it. I do use it along Kiehl’s avocado eye cream since I don’t feel this eye cream is hydrating enough. All in all, I think it’s a great eye serum👍🏾
I agree my lashes look longer and it doesn’t really help much on my darkness but I like what it does. Definitely a keeper to use once in while
@@Yellowpfp019 I'm not the author of this comment but I just slather in around my eyes and eyelids.
I use the ordinary 1% retinol (oil) on my arms and decolletage a few or more times a week--very effective
I just love how honest these two studs are. I use The Ordinary's niacinamide serum but this will be a great guide to expand my skincare routine!
What is there to lie about? Honesty is not a virtue in absence of temptation
They feel more transparent than other dermatologist/gurus on RUclips. Definitely my favourites
@@doctordonnanoble we call that knowledgeable, not honest.
@@ZelenoJabko they are very knowledgeable, but I mean that they seem a lot more transparent when it comes to sponsorships and biases. No one does RUclips without monetary gain, and it's so disappointing whenever we realize their true purposes behind each video.

I use the lactic acid and retinoid mentioned (not on the same days!) I DEFINITELY GET THE GLASS SKIN EFFECT. my acne is there but like 10% of what is was and it wasn't much to begin with. I just love their products!
How often do you use it when you just start?
Try their "The buffet" for added moisture with the Lactic Acid. It's a game changer. I also started using their rose hip seed oil a couple weeks ago, and within a week it's cleared my moderate acne. :)
Thanks for illustrating that higher percentage isn't necessarily better.

@@Doctorly oh man yes I was gonna say plz do paula's choice especially their retinol and 20% niacinamide I just bought it but you guys mentioned 20% is weird so please explain more and thank you
@@martinav4086 Dr Vanita Rattan has reviewed it.
@@wishbone222x I agree. I just bought 20% PC Niacinamide, but I've had no skin irritation. You?
Dr`s I`m very pleased to find your channel. We are watching you here in South -Korea. My son just started shaving and has a huge problem with in-growing hair on his pubic area as well as his chin. I`m now buying the Ordinary Products to help him. Thanks for your honesty. Its hard to find it these days.
@@Olive_O_Sudden Love your moniker, can't stop chuckling...
Also, they are cruel free. Which is amazing and there products do work
Thank you for emphasizing that cellulite is totally normal. I love your channel ❤️
After this video, I immediately emailed my doctor to send me a prescription for Azelaic acid 20%! Fingers crossed it helps
I loved your chat on the studies and the pharmaceutical companies. This is such an important topic!
The editing in this video is 🙌🏽 can you guys please talk about waiting time between skincare steps?
I had dealt with acne for yearrsss and honestly tried literally everything . I even resulted to acne pills and used curology for a while .
Curology worked but got expensive really quick & out of nowhere I began breaking out using it. I have very acne prone skin .
The ordinary has literally saved my skin . Proof that skincare does not have to be expensive to be effective .
Please watch what you eat and drink, your breakouts could be from whats entering your mouth.
I would really like a video on products that can help with hyperpigmentation.
Niacinamide , retinol in squaline , lactic acid totally loved it . Would definately purchase again .
Thanks for the review for these products. Love your camaraderie 💪
I'm using their Lactic acid 5% together with Cerave resurfacing retinol... And I'm fine.. both products are mild so they didn't irritate my sensitive skin.. 😊😊😊
I'm obsessed with you guys! Thank you so much for finding a niche that needed you!! Please keep making content.
I love the caffeine solution. I use it almost daily. It’s so wonderful.
I'm proud of your rapid channel growth, guys! Please review the Droplette device when you get the time. Thank you.
Penn Smith Skincare has done two videos on this including one interviewing the creators.
@@db-gb5xi , hi there. I saw both of Penny's videos. It's a very compelling device. I wanted to hear from a dermatologist to see what their perceptions are of the science behind the claims. But thank you, baby! I appreciate you looking out.
This is something I can see Dr.
Idriss being interested in.
@@db-gb5xi ,there are nano mist spray bottles? Wow. I need to look this up.
@@cameront3596 Go See Christy (another esty) recommends the YBZS Triangle 20Ml USB Portable Face Spray Bottle Nano Mister Facial Hair Steamer Ultrasonic Ozone Sprayer Hydrating Mini Humidifier (she's how I first heard about them).
Love it
Personally I've tried FRB for a whole year with no visible changes to skin (I've mainly tried their vitamin C and chemical exfoliator syrums). So maybe it's ok for people with sensistive skin, but personally not for me.
I have been using some of their milky serums. They make my skin look and feel very plumped and softened.
God help me. I'm from the south and you guys talk to fast for my ears. Love your content. It is very helpful for the consumer. Keep it going
I am so glad you mentioned and explained the possible effects of the caffiene solution for hairloss!
I appreciate that your content is educational and approachable. Subscribed!
Thanks for the review, I have been using the ordinary for past year and was hoping for an honest review. You just happened to review the products I use daily/weekly. Glad I am doing it right.. Thanks …….🙂
Just bought the Lactid Acid (I have dry, dull & sensitive skin) And also the Retinol with Squalane as my starter retinol. I hope I like them 🤞🏻
I use the lactic acid 10% on my knees and elbows. Amazing improvement!
