Earlier, I was quick to mention the haircut prices. I just started reviewing your other videos. Thanks, I appreciate them. It is nice to see a younger couple explore the world. Ignore my comment about the prices. Many of us are old and think we know everything. You still scored. 👍. I'm a new sub.
Glad you’re happy with your cut! I wish they wouldn’t take advantage of you being a foreigner, quite pricey. Maybe ask a knowledgeable staff in your hotel in the future, ask for a local spot, and ask costs ahead of time. As someone who was born there, it’s really frustrating visiting and constantly being ripped off. The last couple of trips, we now only shop where there are clearly marked prices. When it’s a service, like a haircut, we typically wait for a local to ask first or we ask them where they go and what price. Watch out when you go get a shave. It’s such a shame people take advantage but trust your instincts. Zero tip when I feel I’m being taken advantage of, but often times tip 2 or 3 times the cost of service when they give local, honest, and true price.
@@Mintexplores I don't know the price of a haircut today in Boracay. before the boracay renovation and lockdown before. the price of a haircut in Boracay is not far from the price of a haircut in Manila and other islands. secondly boracay was commercialized so the goods in boracay are expensive.
@@Gabbi-py6sd okay, Visayas, Cebu region, and the islands its about 70p. All over Mindanao, it's about 50p. You have to know the prices in Philippines or you will be taken advantage of. It's hard for me to believe that Manilla is 5-20x greater in price for a haircut. Hopefully others in Manilla would comment on the price to confirm.
@@Paul-McB it all depends on the location/ Demands , in manila the cheapest is 85 pesos, visayas and mindanao are rural place you cannot expect they are same price . boracay is tourist spots , you can pay a cheap hairstylist the question is did they satisfy your expectations? it clearly shows that he was satisfy on his haircut .
@@howto4382Thanks, I've lived here in many cities for the last two years. This is not a hair salon. From the video, it's an average barber shop. I'll stick with your 85p Manilla price. Anything above this, he's paying skin tax.
Four bucks is actually pretty expensive for a haircut from a non-premium barber. Seeing the barber shop where you got your haircut, I wouldn't pay more than a hundred pesos (a little less than two dollars) for a haircut. You've been ripped off.
@@Mintexplores I understand. Sorry you had to experience that kind of BS here in the Philippines. Some unscrupulous merchants have two prices: local and tourist. Be more careful during your stay here.
Stop bullshitting dude, you know that its a tourist spots you clearly doesnt have idea about boracay, price of rent there is not cheap, price may vary on location , and demands of this services, 🤔 parang ganito lng yan e bat mas mura rent sa probinsya kesa sa manila? $4 in that shop is expensive, you can have a $4 haircut in a flush shop, with air-conditioning, nice hot towel, etc
Thank you for letting me know, give me the name of the shop? 😍🫶
Average barber charges 40p-70p.
They're in boracay not in the cities prices there is different
Where im from only 50 pesos...100 pesos is a luxury...haha
@@cheenotzki So they charge locals the same prices?
4$ is too expensive for a haircut in boracay. in manila the haircut is 70 pesos and in other islands in the philippines it is cheaper.
Oh really? What’s the normal price in boracay? That’s good 🫶❤️

Boracay is exploitative price's not good for the locals. it's only a barber shop without Aircon for sure. its a salon price???
Kunti is "a little bit"
Maliit is small
Thank you 😍🫶❤️
Average Barbershops are only worth $1.50. Famous Barbershops with a good reputation and stylist cost at least $10-$20.
Oh had no idea ❤️🫶
$4 is 224p. Either that barber is taking advantage of you or Boracay is expensive.
It's normal and cheap compare in Manila, sometimes from 5 to 20 dollars depending on the place.
