I have tested the Super Soco TC MAX last week. It's great ! Well adapted to city usage.
Awesome! Any plans to buy one? How does it stand against Zero bikes?
Power off
Electric motorcycles are awesome but they still have a long way to go and are sometimes heavily criticized by their potential buyers for being either too expensive or lagging in terms of performance or range. This year some leading manufacturers have already presented their upcoming models, so can these bikes start attracting more riders to the EV-side?
Hopefully
The new Lightning Strike seems to fit the bill. At only $13,000 for the base model up to $20,000 for the Carbon Fiber model with a 20 KW/h battery and top quality components, it seems to offer the best performance and range for the money. I wonder why Lightning isn't more popular, despite being the only electric bike to beat all other bikes, electric or ICE at Pikes Peak race, and setting the record for the fastest production motorcycle at the Boneville Salt Flats.
The main reason is the volume of production. They haven't gone mainstream yet. The Lighting LS was a super expensive collector's item, I hope that the Strike will propel them to success and they will join Zero in the race for the best electric bikes
LS 218!!! Pikes Peak Champ 🏆 and 218 MPH. A great bike for 40k
Well done as always! Will you please make a video focusing on Zero, Veitis and Tarform?
That's a nice request. I will see what I can do.
The zero and the harley naked are gorgeous those are my favorites oh the Zeus and hera are unusual looking but really clean and appealing too
Yep. The Curtiss bikes are rather interesting, if not performance wise, but in terms of unique styling they will become famous
They look very uncomfortable to ride.
One of their selling points, LOL. Be unique, buy a bike that has terrible riding comfort
@@automotiveterritory lol u know i was wondering about those seats
Great electric bikes some of the prices are affordable nice
Indeed. We are getting there. Zero and Lightning have really upped the game
Nice summary!
At the end a very few bikes remain really "available", when talking about worldwide dealers network (not an amateur project), affordable pricing, enough power, range and bike ergonomics (I mean real motorbikes, not weird shape vehicles).
The whole Zero line with the new SR/F, the HD Livewire, the Lightning Strike, the Energica Ego/Eva and the SuperNEX.
- The Zero SR is nice to ride, the chassis is a bit "meh" as well as the price. And the design is really dated.
- The Zero SR/F is a very good update. Maybe the chassis is now good, it looks good, the range is good, the dealer network is present worldwide but the price is atrocious.
- The HD Livewire is not very powerful, looks horrible, range is meh, and the price is ridiculously high. But the dealer network is there.
- The Lightning Strike looks good (not great, but good, maybe some fairing addons can improve a lot), the performances seem good, the range is good, the handling is still unknown, as well as the dealer network is still a big question mark.
- The Energica are technically very good in all points, the Eva looks okay, the price is very high and the dealer network is limited.
- The SuperNEX looks very good, the performances are good on paper, and the rest is a big question-mark, and is not available yet, but we can suppose that the price will be well adjusted. The gearbox is here a big minus (more weight, maintenance and changing the gear on an electric vehicle is not that right). But the dealer network is there.
I'm still waiting for more details about the Lightning Strike and SuperNEX, which remain for me the two only options for a daily 150km commuting... If both are still not OK, let's stuck with an ICE motorbike....
Appreciate your summary!

Petrol range extenders should be available by the end of the year. Don't like the Maxi-Scooter form factor? Look here: www.zelectricvehicle.com/m-s-motorcycles
Question for AT:TN&CR.....Why the hell do you keep over-looking ZEV? You do it all the time in your E-motorbike videos. For shame!!
Is the supersoco something I could buy online like a sondors? Looking for a street legal e motorcycle around $5-7k I could buy online. Any recommendations?
There is a list of official websites in the description. Information about local availability could be obtained there.
Hey mate what is your accent? I am just curious. It's a good RUclips voice.
Thanks for your feedback. I would say it is American-English with an Eastern European flavor
@@automotiveterritory
Английский звучит практически безупречно.
Some very nice ! But the prices NEED TO BE HALFED !
Yep I'm not hoping for halving, but at least 20-30 percent drop would be awesome
I likw arc vector it looks cool and its realy fast but curtiss zeus and hera looks great too I am soo exited when all these bikes will be reliesed or kymko supernex thet looks soo sporty and awesome!!
Do you think that you'd be riding an electric bike in the future?
@@automotiveterritory idk it same deal like with electric cars they are fast and good elegant and that stuff but you cant tune them and I dont think that I would be able to swap new and better electric engine so im not sure about it but what about you?
Why not? Electric motors are simpler in terms of technology used. The upgradability of such bikes is only slowed down by the electronics that control batteries, motors, etc.
@@automotiveterritory yes but I still dont know how to upgrade it well I could give it more amps or volts and it should be quicker but im not sure about it
@@automotiveterritory and I apologise if I just said completly stupid thing cuz I dont know that much how it work😅
Here at Boom Moto we are excited about the Electric Motorcycle revolution.
Sadly it seems like the upgraded 2019 Energica lineup was left out for some reason..
Can you please be more specific? I have only noticed a major update on their cooperation with Samsung.
Same with Evoke Motorcycles' line up.
What happened to the Fly Free? Can't seem to find any recent information online any longer.
I will double check and let you know.
I'll take a Kymco Supernex and an Arc Vector, please ... ⚡️😎👍🏼
Those are some great choices you've made.
I really like the Veitis, but the price is ridiculous. There's nothing in the package that justifies such a huge price tag. I think I'm still looking at getting a Lightning Strike Carbon if I can get a hold of one / get it imported into South Africa
Hope they manage to find a way to make it more affordable.
Gorgeous till I saw prices. We need more competition between companies in order to get better bikes quality-price
How much do you think they should be worth?
@@automotiveterritory less than 9.000 with a range around 150- 200km. I keep dreaming.
I won't be so pessimistic. We are getting there
It may be the wave of the future however the silent killers better have extremely loud horns as automobiles will not see you nor hear you but I sure as heck want to test drive one of those bad boys
Once you get a chance to ride one of these, you'd be amazed to learn that they are not completely silent.
Face it Autos dont see or hear sirens or about anything. Ride like you're invisible
200 miles range ruffly 100mph is nicely usable more is better. Motor bikes are one of the rudamatray bases of progressive higher speed travel. In electric model is a true "step up move." Thanks for the Information. 😎 Later
Electric bikes are getting better year after year. It's actually exciting to see how the industry progresses and it would be fun to see what kind of technology it would be able to offer in a couple of years.
Plz consider emflux one
Do you think that they'd be able to start selling it soon?
£52,00 for a bike that can only do 100 miles hahahha what a joke
How much range do you need for a bike not to be considered "a joke"?
Harley's move away from their traditional Chopper/Cruiser style is a mistake. All these bikes have the same cafe style which is based on speed over range. Most serious bikers want range & comfort over speed. As someone who has ridden a motorcycle all over the USA, I prefer something that is capable of being ridden all day in all kinds of terrain & weather.
And where does the thought that ebikes cannot be ridden in all kinds of terrain and weather come from?
"Most serious bikers want range & comfort over speed." What a bullshit statement. If you're referring to the majority of Harley Riders as "serious riders" Lets be completely honest. The only thing Harley riders want is noise and chrome. The Livewire will definitely not be a hit with Harley riders. And to call anyone who prefers "comfort and range" over "speed" a "serious biker" is pretty fucking hilarious. Having a 900lb bike that makes 60HP defeats the purpose of having a bike at all. You no longer have a bike. You have a car that you can't roll the windows up on.
I'll go with the LS 218 Please!!!
Nice choice!
I Love your videos, just wish you could enunciate better.
I'm trying my best.
This could be more awsome if we could remove the battery and charge it at home or inside an appartment/condo.
It would be. But aren't those things quite heavy?
All electric bikes should be belt drive.
No Sur Ron ?
I went for the newer models. The bike that you mentioned has been around for a coupe of years now.
Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews Sur Ron has new models practically every year. Also they are in a class of their own. Please consider them for your next videos. They are fun out of the box but modified they are nuts. Up to 32kW
Can you please help me find their newest model? When thinking about electric bikes, I have only two of their models in mind - the dirt bike one and the street one, am I missing something?
Why does the commentator sound like a fricken robot
No battery info?
Battery dive? Do you mean the degradation?
@@automotiveterritory the "dive" wasn't supposed to be there.
Oh, I see.
Sorry to tell you but you mistake in the video , its not kimko its KYMCO .
Good day. I don't think that I understand what the mistake was. Could you help me out?
The chinese brand of electric motorcycle its KYMCO , you put in the video as a subtitle KYMKO
Minute 6:29
Thanks for being so attentive. Although I try to double or even triple check everything, sometimes such small things slip by.
No problem , i like the videos , always great content ! 💪
Most of these are too slow for Interstate transit...
City commuting is the place where they shine.
im just gonna buy 4 set of lithium battery and a motor and a controller. cost would be around 2 lakh. just compile all in my honda stunner and go our if this petrol world
Good luck with your conversion.
$42,000 is the cost of a new battery for a zero electric motorcycle. If you’re considering buying an electric motorcycle, check cost of replacement for the battery before you even think about it.
A friend of mine bought a used zero, he let the batteries discharge thinking that they would re-charge and give more range, long story, the batteries are toast. That is according to the zero technical support. And the new battery is $42,000.
You suggest checking the prices, can you please share a link where Zero sells replacements for this kind of money?
You are probably adding too many zeros to the price
Recently (tried) to watch the compilation of fatal motorbike (as opposed to car) accidents, I’ll never feel the same way about riding a motorbike again... 😞😒😔😟😕🙁
What prompted you to start watching this type of content?
52 000 $ for a 6kw motor and 100 MI what da hell is this shit ?
I wont even try justifying the price. Indeed, too high. The "handcrafting" doesnt cut it for me either
First one
Thanks for being a member of the notification squad. Hope this video was worth your while! Any favorites?
Are you serious $$$$
They are getting closer and closer to ICE bikes though.
Dude....Why English?
What do you mean?
Its not affordable
How much do you think they should cost to be considered affordable?
jesus this is horribly ill informed and shoddily researched
I wish you went into at least a little bit of detail.
