Although most people are heavily concerned on range, to me it’s gotta be everything else as well. I’ve not ridden any of the other bikes on this list, as most are quite new - I can feel the quality when I ride the HD livewire. One can tell that a decade + went into the development of this bike, it is such a pleasant riding experience!
Damon got me hyped the most. I mostly ride my bike for home work and a Electric will suite that quite well. Have to safe some extra for a possible new bike
I hate to break it to you but..... Damon is vaporware and is dead in all but name. They abandoned their production facility and moved to a tiny garage. The Co founder creative talent and experience already left. They laid off 11 people. It's dead.
a nice and well done report from a biker who has not ridden these electric motorcycles. It's not enough just to read data and facts while showing beautiful pictures, but also to report something about tested driving characteristics and !!! loading capabilities.
Energica experia .. 22.5kwh big battery fast charging .. and good custoner service .. !!! .. even if you dont like the bike .. its the most practicle one !!!
biggest flaw of HD live wire is 1,4kW onboard charger, if DC station somehow will not work - this 1,4kW makes you 10-15km per hour - energica using 3kW but really old tech - i think refreshing with 6kW will be good move, ZERO for some countries can be best - bcoz in EU you can charge it with optional charge tank with 12-13kW power, so anybody with wallbox or 3phase outlet give you full power charging
@@duniek86 yep you are right with zero but you need 3fase ... in practise for me .. charging at home is always overnight ..and charging dc fast on the go is a must ... zero does not have enough range for me to feel free and no dc charging ... plus zero has near zero chstomer service after oqningvone for 7 years i will never buy a zero anymore . Allthough i do like the dsr/x .. i dont have that much money to throw away .. so i ordered the experia ...
@@gmy33 yes, DC is ofcourse faster, BUT on I own energica ss9+ (21,5kwh) and second charging in warm day is about 12-15kW max (hot battery), so not much difference with 12kW on zero, from specs DAMON look good - 25kW DC and 6,6KW AC :O
@@gmy33 i dont know really, but if i charge enrgica at only 40A (12kW) temp raise slower than at full speed (logic) best condition for TOURING is calm ride with 15-18*C ambient temp (then battery is cooling down during ride)
You obviously don't know the difference between kilowatts and kilowatt hours. If I ever buy an electric motorbike, it won't be a sportsbike or an off-road bike. Gotta be suitable for the highway. Long range, fast charge.
Really eye-opening review of some very trendy and robust e-bikes, the manufacturers have really thought through all (or most of) the designs. My favourite is the Energica Xperia. As with e-cars though; the biggest barrier to getting started is having the funds to meet the hugh price tags they have. And they don't have any erotic sound when you rev the throttle!

I like Damon for the range. I don't like the wait time for charging on any ev. So if you're going to drive stay out as long as possible before you have to wait. No I'm not a yo-yo driver work and home charge at home and work again. I like going a lot of different places and enjoying the ride.
Actually ridden a damon? 😂 no other consumer has either 1st deliveries are due "next spring(2024)" kind of a piss off for those who were promised 2021 amd told late 21, then 22 and 23 etc

Not a single "adventure, bike" is useful for "adventure" with under 150 miles of real range there's no way you could take it on a trip! As far as sport bikes, go, none of your buddies are going to want to wait around while you chargejust to take a 200 mile trip. Electric bikes are still useless except for commuting…
Note that off-road range is easy double than highway range. My own zero DS does about 150-180 km on the highway, but I am sure I can do easily 280km offroad. So most of the e-motorcycles on the market can do 150 miles offroad.

Was looking at Live Wire One but now im considering Damon HS
Is there a reason the Livewire (One) was included twice.. 7th and 1st?
Because it's an automated script. A human didn't write this. These garbage videos don't care. They just ask GPT what the top choice are.

Electric. Yay.
Is the Damon even a real bike?
No
No its real, just years behind their schedule. To be fair they've built a manufacturing facility in surrey BC canada
Definitely a Damon 🔥🔥🔥

All electric motorcycle 's are ridiculous! And are worse for the planet.
They all look incredibly ugly and are overpriced. No thanks.
