About to start taking lessons for my motorcycle license. Was hoping to get an electric bike but the more I look into these, the more I start feeling like they're not really capable enough yet within my budget. I'm looking to spend no more than €8k and need it to be fully capable of riding 130km per trip with about 70% of it at 100 kmh+. And I wanna be able to bring a passenger along for rides. Any particular electric bikes I should look into that match these criteria?
sadly I think not yet. I ride an electric motorbike for city commuting and there are plenty options to suit my needs, but high speed distance is still a tough ask 😢I hope things improve in a few years so when my bike it dying I can upgrade to something awesome without a lottery win!
I want more cruiser options that don't cost $25k-30k. Give me an electric Honda Shadow or Fury for $8k or less with a range of 250+ miles per charge and a charge time of 30 minutes or less. As long as it can reach highway speeds easily and safely, I don't care about horsepower.
I like the look of the f77 it's not the fasts but it looks like a bike that I could actually want to ride. There are a few others that look ok but the f77 is the one I would probably buy. If it were the right price I could see myself owning one.

There has to be a way of towing a small trailer with two or three extra batts to make easier long distance travels. They could be connected by wire, so to set them on as needed wthout need to stop.
That's a fantastic idea and a creative approach to extending the range of electric vehicles (EVs) for long-distance travel! 😃 The concept of towing a small trailer equipped with extra batteries could indeed offer a practical solution to one of the main concerns around EVs, which is the range anxiety associated with longer trips. This idea taps into the potential for modular energy storage solutions, making electric travel more versatile and convenient. While there are technical and safety considerations to address, such as battery management systems, connector types, and road safety regulations, the concept holds promise for future EV innovations. It could also open up new business models around 'battery trailer rentals' for road trips. Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts! It's exciting to imagine how ideas like yours could shape the future of electric mobility. What inspired this idea for you?
wohoo:) saving this for tonight. When this technology gets alittle better it will explode. I live in Norway and everything is expensive here, except e-cars and e-motorcycles. They are cheap, no taxes no nothing. Lvl 2-3 charging at evening cost you 0,5 dollar pr. hour (daytime 1 dollar). Buy one and u get 1,5K back from the gvernment. Fascinating and interesting time we live in.
That's awesome to hear you're excited about the video! It's truly fascinating how rapidly technology is evolving and becoming more accessible, especially in the realm of electric vehicles (EVs). Norway's approach to encouraging the adoption of e-cars and e-motorcycles through incentives like tax exemptions, low charging costs, and government rebates is indeed a leading example for the rest of the world. It's incredible how these policies make sustainable transportation options more affordable and attractive to people. Thank you for sharing this insight from Norway-it's a great reminder of the positive steps being taken towards a more environmentally friendly future. Can't wait to hear what you think of the video after watching it tonight!
Combine the Evoke 6061's 15-minute charge time and 292-mile, the WMC250EV's 250-mile-per-hour top speed, and electric motor silences, and you have the definition of a 21st-century super bike.
That's a pretty electrifying combo you're talking about! The Evoke 6061's rapid charge time is like grabbing a coffee, and you're good to go almost 300 miles - that's no small feat. Then you throw in the WMC250EV's top speed, and it's like you've got a lightning bolt on two wheels. Put all these specs together, and it does sound like the ultimate 21st-century super bike. For anyone passionate about the future of bikes and EV tech, it's a pretty exciting time to be in the game.
R research and development costs a lot of money. Even for an existing manufacturer. I think they got some things right other things need improving on the live wire. Level 1 and level 3 charging is a problem. Most EV chargers are level two and three
