    About to start taking lessons for my motorcycle license. Was hoping to get an electric bike but the more I look into these, the more I start feeling like they're not really capable enough yet within my budget. I'm looking to spend no more than €8k and need it to be fully capable of riding 130km per trip with about 70% of it at 100 kmh+. And I wanna be able to bring a passenger along for rides.
    Any particular electric bikes I should look into that match these criteria?

      sadly I think not yet. I ride an electric motorbike for city commuting and there are plenty options to suit my needs, but high speed distance is still a tough ask 😢I hope things improve in a few years so when my bike it dying I can upgrade to something awesome without a lottery win!

    The one that actually represents the word "motorcycle" enough was the Damon Hypersport. That thing looks like it could compete with any ICE engined bike. It's also got a hefty price tag at $40k, but deservedly so. Looks very well engineered.

    wohoo:) saving this for tonight. When this technology gets alittle better it will explode. I live in Norway and everything is expensive here, except e-cars and e-motorcycles. They are cheap, no taxes no nothing. Lvl 2-3 charging at evening cost you 0,5 dollar pr. hour (daytime 1 dollar). Buy one and u get 1,5K back from the gvernment. Fascinating and interesting time we live in.

      That's awesome to hear you're excited about the video! It's truly fascinating how rapidly technology is evolving and becoming more accessible, especially in the realm of electric vehicles (EVs). Norway's approach to encouraging the adoption of e-cars and e-motorcycles through incentives like tax exemptions, low charging costs, and government rebates is indeed a leading example for the rest of the world. It's incredible how these policies make sustainable transportation options more affordable and attractive to people. Thank you for sharing this insight from Norway-it's a great reminder of the positive steps being taken towards a more environmentally friendly future. Can't wait to hear what you think of the video after watching it tonight!

    There has to be a way of towing a small trailer with two or three extra batts to make easier long distance travels. They could be connected by wire, so to set them on as needed wthout need to stop.

    • @Electric-Rideables
      @Electric-Rideables  3 месяца назад

      That's a fantastic idea and a creative approach to extending the range of electric vehicles (EVs) for long-distance travel! 😃 The concept of towing a small trailer equipped with extra batteries could indeed offer a practical solution to one of the main concerns around EVs, which is the range anxiety associated with longer trips.
      This idea taps into the potential for modular energy storage solutions, making electric travel more versatile and convenient. While there are technical and safety considerations to address, such as battery management systems, connector types, and road safety regulations, the concept holds promise for future EV innovations. It could also open up new business models around 'battery trailer rentals' for road trips.
      Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts! It's exciting to imagine how ideas like yours could shape the future of electric mobility. What inspired this idea for you?

    I want more cruiser options that don't cost $25k-30k. Give me an electric Honda Shadow or Fury for $8k or less with a range of 250+ miles per charge and a charge time of 30 minutes or less. As long as it can reach highway speeds easily and safely, I don't care about horsepower.

    Combine the Evoke 6061's 15-minute charge time and 292-mile, the WMC250EV's 250-mile-per-hour top speed, and electric motor silences, and you have the definition of a 21st-century super bike.

    • @Electric-Rideables
      @Electric-Rideables  6 месяцев назад

      That's a pretty electrifying combo you're talking about! The Evoke 6061's rapid charge time is like grabbing a coffee, and you're good to go almost 300 miles - that's no small feat. Then you throw in the WMC250EV's top speed, and it's like you've got a lightning bolt on two wheels.
      Put all these specs together, and it does sound like the ultimate 21st-century super bike. For anyone passionate about the future of bikes and EV tech, it's a pretty exciting time to be in the game.

    My only problem with these is the range and the charge times. I do a lot of trips with friends and having to deal with the hassle of finding places to charge these doesn't seem worth it to me as well as how long you have to wait. I don't want to have to base my trips on having to find a charging station every 120 miles or less when I can find a gas station pretty much everywhere we go. Once they can get the range a bit better and it's easier to find charging stations I would probably consider one. Thanks for all the info and keep up the good work!!

      Gogoro Scooters did what all electric vehicles should do : Swappable Batteries (like a cordless drill). There would be say, 6 or a dozen standard battery types and people would exchanged batteries quicker than gassing up. Start-up pains sure, but why isn't that done already? Wel, Tesla for instance; would prefer that you were stuck with a proprietary setup. But imagine if many different choices of fuel, all for different car manufacturers. That would be a nightmare, so too will be too many battery types.

    • @BorisBlade7
      @BorisBlade7 10 месяцев назад

      If the bike doesnt already have it, you can get an app that shows all the charging stations and they are absolutely everywhere. The better full on motorcycles will have this and show you mileage and adjust driving routes and show total times etc. Unlike cars tho, not all these bikes can use car style charging stations (the larger full on bikes usually do tho). Its somethin that does need to be addressed for sure. Also, some of these do support fast charging and charge super fast. But for some uses they just arent quite there yet. Great for commuters tho.

    • @BorisBlade7
      @BorisBlade7 9 месяцев назад

      @Steve25g valid points man, but not everyone rides with people for long distances. If its not for you then i get it, esp if you ride with big groups, but it works for those doing solo or dual rides with ranges and drives that suit this type of bike. Personally Im waiting for the solid state bikes, those will solve these range issues since they charge stupid fast and capacities are higher. But until then and the prices are also better, these bikes will not fill many roles that ICE bikes do.

      @Electric-Rideables  3 месяца назад

      Haha, that would be quite the sight, wouldn't it? While those motorcycles might not come equipped with fly modes or the ability to pick up dinner (yet!), the high price tags are often due to their advanced engineering, premium materials, and exclusivity. Many of these high-end motorcycles are designed with cutting-edge technology, superior performance capabilities, and craftsmanship that turns them into works of art as much as modes of transportation. But who knows what the future holds? Maybe one day we'll see motorcycles that fly!

    Content: Bicycles, scooters and concept vehicles.
    FFS... Why is so difficult to find E-Motorbike content that is not total crap.

    8k is budget friendly? Lmfao. Okay.

      It sounds like the price point of $8k for an electric motorcycle might seem a bit high for a budget-friendly option, and I totally understand where you're coming from! The definition of "budget-friendly" can definitely vary depending on individual circumstances and expectations. For some, the appeal of an electric motorcycle at that price includes considerations like long-term savings on fuel and maintenance, environmental benefits, and unique features specific to electric models. But I'm really curious to hear your thoughts-what price range would you consider budget-friendly for an e-motorcycle? And are there specific features or aspects you think are essential for making an electric motorcycle worth the investment?

    • @CelestialKappa
      @CelestialKappa 3 месяца назад

      @Electric-Rideables In my opinion an electric motorcycle as "Budget friendly" shouldn't cost more than four thousand. I know it's an e-morocycle but if it's working, functional get me from point a to point b, it also shouldn't need advanced technical features. a simple straight forward build that gets the job done, priced adequately, so majority could afford it. Saving money over time is the natural benefit of an e-motocycle and shouldn't be used as a way to price things higher in my opinion. That is the functionality of electricity over gas fuel.

    No one should buy from a company like ZERO that puts micro transactions on their motorcycle and requires an app to keep the things you pay for... It's absurd...
    LOL you showed a piston bike during the DROOG video
    the Ubco needs more battery.

    You can actually Buy !!!! What a lie !!! You can send money to, may be, but from Damon, Lightning, Arc vectors, or Verge you won't probably get a bike before long or even ever. And the BMW on the preview is just prototype that will never go in production.

      It sounds like you have a strong preference for e-bikes over e-motorcycles! We'd love to hear more about your thoughts on this. Do you enjoy the accessibility and eco-friendliness of e-bikes more, or is there something specific about e-motorcycles that doesn't quite appeal to you? Your insights could spark an interesting discussion among our community members! 😊

    80% charge huh too bad most people will think that 80% is ok not realizing that, not fully charging the battery will eventually cause premature battery failure!. and you can bet its not covered under the warranty policy!.

You did a good job and i really appreciate that someone makes a "long" video, so i don't have to search for all the different bikes. I assume that you still have all the video data? You could just edit the parts where ppl hinted you some errors an make it an even better video!
