SO MUCH FUCKING REALER than CGI and motion capture. I don't care about how fun the Gollum was in The Hobbit, it was STILL unREAL, something not ACTUALLY THERE to touch and act against but imagining a person in front of you in a body suit with glow balls and freakin helmet on. People bitched about Yoda being a puppet but he WAS REAL not a flighty 3D cartoon jumping and running around actors had to imagine was in their space like in the prequels
Leonard Nimoy actually got death threats--directed at himself and his family--when rumors came out that Spock would die in Star Trek II. ......... As far as being harassed in public all the time, some celebrities (e.g., Susan Sarandon) choose to live in Europe, where the public doesn't make a huge fuss if they see a celebrity at the store or on the sidewalk.
how incestuous is this business when you get Spock to present Star WARS it's certainly interesting to see this after all these years i remember someone saying that whether you consider the STAR WARS FILMS great movies or even good movie depends on your taste for film i can totally see the lead actors FORD ,Hamill and FISHER BEING driven to a minor level of insanity by putting up with the fan base or the stalkers!
Wow, I Guess even Spock likes Star Wars.
There is some really confusing mojo going on when you have Leonard Nimoy narrating the story on the making of, Return of the Jedi.
Mr. Nimoy is a Sci-Fi fan period. I loved Invasion of the Body Snatchers which Mr. Nimoy stars in.
I've,never thought I'd,see Leonard Nimoy speaking of Star Wars, great footage thanks for sharing.
wow, it's so cool that after all these years there still is star wars footage i have NEVER seen before!
This was from a program that aired on Nickelodeon back around 1983 called "Standby... Lights, Camera, Action".
I haven't seen this in almost 30 years. Thanks for posting this!
this is a real treasure, thank you for sharing
Mind blown! Kept expecting old Leonard to remind us of the ballad of Bilbo Baggins.

I remember watching this show "Standby, Lights Camera Action" on Nickelodeon every weekend.
It's damn unusual and odd having Leonard Nimoy host this.

It's my favorite too.
Old school movie magic. Stop motion, puppets, models. Then the years went by and CGI came in and ruined it all!
I remembered they made one of these for Conan the Barbarian.
still dosent awser my question how was the sarlacc made when they fell (in the orignal) where did they go
haha I love this. Jedi is my favorite
they don't make movies like they used to. ain't that a shame.
