John Myung is very different now. I've been to a couple of their concerts last year (2011) and he actually moves around and head bangs to some of the riffs. Also, his bass can be heard.. and that sounds badass!!!!
Dude, I own a 5 String Bass and I am not quite near in range of sight to JM. I bet he would be able to play this on only 2 Strings. He is JM. You could compare to God, but JM does really exist!

He's PRETTY GOOD???? In my opinion (emphasis on opinion) he's the world's best. I don't see things this difficult being played this flawlessly by bassists like Sheehan or Flea or Patitucci! But of course they all have different styles so you can't really compare them. The fact that John Myung is pretty much doubling what JP is playing, which is madness as it is, just seems more impressive to me. So in other words, I think 'Pretty Good' is an understatement.
@FirstTurnKill No it's not it's a Progressive Rock/Metal concert. And the Japanese crowd is the best. They are humble and deep listeners. Not a bunch of posers that just go nuts. They actually enjoy the music.

I should admit that LaBrie isn't that good as before, but he's just amazing.. I got the chance to see them the three times they came to Venezuela and James sounded very impressive

jon myung is pretty good on bass too, too bad that alot of people over-look the bassist. I know that i can't play what he does at this point time, besides the fact that i only have a 4 string and not a 6.
@felphero, yeah, i know what you mean, i personally can't get enough bass when i'm listening to a song, if there's no bass, the song doesn't have much feeling at all, especially if the guitarist has his tone with no bass on it, than it's just shrill and annoying...

After they write all their songs and release their albums, I can copy them then write on RUclips about how much better I am than they are. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.
