Uninstalling Instagram and other distractions back in my first year felt like the right decision, but I still ended up procrastinating until my 5th semester mid (November 2024). Looking back, getting mocked by friends for uninstalling those apps now feels worth it-it allowed me to step away from toxicity and the trap of dream-selling. Seeing someone as experienced and dedicated as you, yet facing challenges like getting responses through portals despite having the "LinkedIn" tag, is both humbling and inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder of the effort required to achieve success. As a student from a Tier 3 college, I know I’ve started late, but your video has motivated me to work harder than ever. I don’t usually comment, but this truly resonated with me. Thank you, ma’am-this was an eye-opener and incredibly inspiring.
When I was posting this video, I thought to myself, why am I even doing this, would this even matter? But if I was able to inspire even a single person, I call it a win. More power to you 💪
Reading book called: Transform Yourself on Monk Mode, completely changed my life.. it taught me how to silence the constant noise in my mind and truly focus on what matters most. Through its actionable strategies, I’ve mastered habits that once seemed impossible to build, eliminated procrastination and created routines that are now unshakable..
First of all, I want to say that you were super confident in your first RUclips video-it was amazing to watch! The ending line was very unique; I’ve never seen any RUclipsr wrap up a video like that before. I’d love to see more content from you, especially a video on your DSA journey and the learning resources you used for System Design. If possible, it would be great if you could also share your resume along with its template or maybe a detailed video on how to create a similar one. Since you mentioned the importance of reaching out to people on LinkedIn, I was wondering if you could share the message format you used. LinkedIn’s 250-word limit can sometimes make it tricky, so a structured approach would be super helpful! And finally, congratulations on joining Meta! It’s truly a dream company for so many folks like me, and your journey is incredibly inspiring. Looking forward to your insights and wishing you all the best in your career ahead!
Although I'm in a different career altogether, can certainly take inspiration from your journey. Especially your persistence and patience during rejections and trying times is really commendable. Wishing you the very best for your future endeavors! Also, your personality exudes a perfect balance of confidence and humility (and definitely subtle quirkiness as well - seems like a tip of the iceberg though). Although I'm no one to opine, but feel free to pepper humorous references in your videos if you will 😄.
Thanks for such a raw and honest video! I would love to know more about - the interview questions questions - your preparation strategy for DSA and LLD and HLD! More power to you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'm currently working at Mastercard as an SDE2 and was unsure whether to explore all opportunities or focus on specific companies I truly want. Your insights helped me gain clarity.
Congratulations, Nikita! Great video. Just subscribed. Getting an offer from Meta is a massive feat! I am a job-seeker in the US in Finance who received several offers from firms like GS but ended up accepting one from a firm from the UK who ultimately rescinded the offer because of my international status. I am back to recruiting and hoping to land another offer soon, fingers-crossed. Hope to be in a similar place like yourself where I can speak about my experience with a bulge-bracket finance company. Cheers!
I found this video incredibly inspiring! your thought process and determination truly motivated me to push myself a little harder to achieve my dreams. Your video was very impactful, and I’m looking forward to seeing more content from your channel❤😊
Contrats on the offers! I find it difficult to understand that how can one prepare for SDE-2 positions in under 1-1.5 month while paralelly interviewing! i mean if I were to study LLD or HLD -> That would take 15 days individually Were you preparing before you scheduled your interviews or did you follow some strategy while interviewing so that you can brush up topics easily?
No, I literally started on 1st of Feb, I have not prepared before that. This is where Monk mode comes in, hyperfocus preparation is much better than doing bits and pieces over half a year imho
Thank you for sharing your story and the strategies that helped you navigate this challenging phase. Stories like yours give so much hope and motivation to others in the same boat. Wishing you the best in your exciting new role and beyond! Keep inspiring!"
Hey Nikita, Really liked the vibe of the video. Some questions here, 1. How did you reach out to a recruiter? (other than LinkedIn DMs) 2. Some tips for LLD/System design interviews, how is the flow of such interviews?
Nikitha , congrats on the meta offer. Can you upload some videos regarding tips and tricks to get better in dsa and system design .and also the ways you used to prepared
Hi Nikita Rana Can you please explain how much time you spent on leetcode and for system design and any resources that helped you in your learning like any courses or online resources for DSA and system design. Thanks
Although I'm already placed , but I saw your linkedin Damn! What an amazing career graph linkedin -> Uber -> meta inspirational in one word ! I'm a 2025 grad . And always had a dream to make it in a big MNC if tech giant , can you please start making content of on like how to actually prepare for these companies (DSA and all ko alawa), It would be really very helpful.
That's it, this is what I wanted to know. I was hesitant on monk mode and doubting if I could be that consistent for so long. I tried doing it for a month and already cracked two product companies in Visa and Sapiens and have an interview tomorrow for a fortune 500 bank as well but I've never had the opportunity to interview for big tech except maybe for Visa. I'm going to follow what you've done, I guess this was my cue from the universe to just disappear for 6 months and work on myself.
I have a specific question regarding onboarding since you moved to uber and meta. How did you manage to do onboarding? Was it a smooth process? All these companies have so many internal tools and functional knowledge, did you follow any specific method or mental model for that? I recently moved to a similar firm so asking
Congratulations Nikita! Ive been following you on instagram and linkedin and u inspire me so much. U are funny as well. Just wanted to know if you did competitive programming before ?
I used to do a bit of codeforce, nothing too extensive. But I did do a lot of leetcode and important questions here and there. I will make a video about my university journey
