My worst experience was my first job, working on a database with a roughly 50 year old programmer. He wanted to show me what the survey we were sending out would look like from client perspective so opened the site in an incognito tab. Obviously my man had been using his work laptop for some extracurricular activities and forgot to close the window. I still have the words “gangbang fur party” burnt into my brain.
This one time I was in the middle of a dungeon on ff14 when my boss video called me on skype. Fortunately I was playing ff14 on my desktop computer and running skype on my laptop, so I carefully put my laptop in front of my desktop keyboard, answered the video call, and proceeded to wrap my arms around the laptop back to the desktop keyboard and continued to clear the dungeon while having a 1 on 1 video conversation with my boss. It was intense

Maaaan same shit happened to me. I was on a Art / Drawing class and fell asleep during online classes, woke up 10/20 minutes later totally alone in the meeting. Asked some of my colleagues after and they said they didn't even noticed me. I was lucky
You fell asleep, damn cool story bro
@@angelo423 Correction, not cool story. This is about me being an idiot.
dude I fall asleep for like 15 minutes at the uni, in a class in front of the professor. She didn't say anything.
Literally in standup right now, taking a monster shit. WFH is great.
this one was awesome, home run
more of a sit down lol
😂
bruh please 😂😂
Ah, another man of culture.
As soon as I saw he didn't click the mute, I was like "oh shit"
One of our senior software engineers shared his screen during a call, and he presented what he had to, and then we all started talking about other topics. But this guy forgot that his screen is still being shared, so he started doing his things. The highlights: We saw his bank account status (And he was broke lol), then he browsed luxury apartments where he plans to spend his summer. Also he was chatting with his wife and they were arguing over something and then finally he realized his mistake and stopped sharing :D
out of curiosity, around how much money did he have?
@@syphon5961 He had around -1900 € on his main account. So no money at all, only debt.
What a coincidence that he was totally broke and was totally looking at luxury apartments.
@LowLinK And amazing that the exact reason he is so broke came up right then and there. Plus he is fighting with his wife too, can't have a happy marriage either, unlucky.
Look, idk who you're trying to impress, you got some likes so I guess that helps you out. I think we get it, you don't like your coworker, but we don't know who that is, so how can we hate him?
Man..., thats sad. Hope the guy patched things up with his life...
Without any prior knowledge of the channel and just looking at the title I was expecting something along the lines of soundboard that responds when certain phrases were said gone wrong, but this was still as good.
I must appreciate your effort for perfectly syncing your mouse movement with that pro jett gameplay video
Wait, what? It wasn't him playing there? Lol the sync was truly perfect I didn't even realize it wasn't him.
Korean jett's clip
but not for unmuting himself in the meeting I think xD
biggest plot: the meeting is actually muted, the guy in the meeting is the same guy in the game got insulted and is aware of the whole situation
😂
this last scene happened to me almost exactly like that once playing CS GO during a meeting. I accidentally left my mic open while suddenly raging after missing a shot ... then i got muted
Joma, Thanks for entertaining the whole community, I love you so much, you are my inspiration and the reason why i started coding, journey is pretty hard though and hopefully I will get to know you in a person. Thanks for the effort and the time that you dedicate to us. Love from Georgia (not the state)
As a developer as really dislike meetings… I like the scrum meetings at beginning of day, but why am I in 5+ other meetings and expect to get work done?
Ikr
tell about it, i have a client that is a nightmare, she always call for a simple bug instead of sending an email, she makes me waste time, i hear the skype call and i want to literally break my keyboard (not my client, my boss's client, because if it were for me, i would not accept any job from her)
@@luisdev7646 We have all these new communications options, yet people still insist on blabbering into a phone like it's 1986. Really annoying.
But the move away from the telephone has created a whole generation of young people afflicted with telephone anxiety. It's a horrible, archaic method of communication which is actually quite rude because you are immediately stopping the other person and diverting their attention. I'll just make a loud distracting noise in your home at my convenience and you can just drop what you're doing to deal with it.
I’m a scrum master and whenever I get on a team, I try to reduce as many meetings as I can. I want my devs to have as much time as possible to get their work done.
@@mxbx307 Well I have a a rule if I txt you and don't hear from you in 24 hrs.... I will call you because everyone has a phone and checks it multiple times a day at this point. No excuses and I do not care if you are inconvenienced lol.

Back when i had in person meetings to attend i'd take a notepad and write creative stories while others Thought i was taking notes 😄
I have meetings like this every morning at 8 am. We talk about what we did and we plan to do. I can confirm that after talking each of our respective peaces, this is what we do.
Do you have a degree?
What kind of evil scrum master schedules meeting at 8am?
@@seble So that's what is called "evil scrum"... ;-)
As the guy who runs those meetings, it's what I'm doing while you're answering the question lol
"Yeah, that sounds good." "No blocker."
The accuracy is unreal. This is why I miss working from home... I got so much gaming in during meetings.
i cant forget that one time i was talking to my brother about how the attending doctor was such a jerk having us in this meeting at this time! it was at the afternoon and i was unmute ... he replied .
well if it's not convenient then you know how to leave .. i was so dead inside
And this is why checking if im muted is basically a requirement
You can call it the 'Mute-check'
Ikr HAHAHA.
I don't even fart when in meetings because I always assume one day that mute button is going to have a bug and not actually mute
That's why I disable the microphone in Device Manager.
holy shit bro chill out
Dude love the setup shits fire🔥
This is lowkey exactly how I participate at meetings at my job too lmao. Im just a lowly contractor, so if they actually wanted my opinion, they'd make me full time or pay me more :D
0:01 - that view is awesome. looks like a chilly rainy day - the best kinds of days to be indoors
yeah!
I’m a software dev at a tech company and i can vouch that this is completely accurate lol
Wait till they start following an Agile approach using scrum and having you record every minute of your working life using Jira. Sorts the lazy skiving coders from the hard working software engineers.
@@kylekeenan3485 For sure dude. Thankfully these kind of companies start to die out. Nobody wants to work for the fucking Gestapo.

I love that at :09 it says "47 people have entered the waiting room". That's a lot of people late to the meeting and no one is letting them in lol
I was with my friend in the library. I had an online class and didn’t know I had my mic on. I told my friend that “my teacher was scary.” There was about 10 people in the class only but still 😐. I also needed help with the assignment so I had to ask her a question in that class right after I said it
Currently not in a big tech but this reminds me last weeks meetings when I was playing red dead redemption 2 while my colleagues were arguing with the client. Gladly they didn’t ask me anything, lol.
Especially when you're having a meeting to discuss having another meeting about coming up with a plan to create the plan to get the thing done that the boss wants.
Y'all have to decide who decides what gets decided? 🤔😁
Plot twist: The person giving commands on meeting was actually playing with Joma
That happened to me but something worse..
It was an online exam and I was cheating in discord voice chat.. I forgot that pressing the mic button would also unmute my exam meeting.. I asked my friend for the answer of the question hahahaha
The teacher called my name and said what did you say? I stayed silent and my friends were laughing their ass off in vc hahaha
Thankfully she didn't say anything else after I shut up
People used to play solitaire on the work computer. Now look at us….
I had a dispatching job in 2008 and they made me work saturdays. I was the only one there besides the techs in the field. I brought my laptop in and began playing Wow. It was the closest I ever got to loving my job.
😂😂 the mute button has given me severe trust issues.
Yeah maybe 1 % of total meeting time goes to looking at the mute button for me 😅
Imagine hearing the voices of the people that is muted while you're presentation. You'd get instant feedbacks for your presentation without even asking for.
There's always the "double mute" bug as well. Some older, crappier headsets don't consistently feed the physical mute button through to the software and you have to click another unmute button.
My biggest fear is a bug with the mute feature. Can you imagine Zoom showing you muted when you weren’t?
@@miktavi I don't need to imagine. I have experienced that indirectly. My friend had his icon on mute but the class could hear him talking to someone in his room. It wasn't something embarrassing but it still was very disturbing to realize there is in fact a chance this sort of glitch can happen.
As a Microsoft employee part of a 15 person team, I can say this is so accurate

Reminds me of when I took a contract as an indie dev for a 1 month project and they kept adding changes that it turned into a 3 month project.
Meetings and conference calls are some of the biggest time wasters in companies. Every time I'm in one or on one all I can think is "Man I could be doing something productive right now..."
I do this as an academic frequently but not any intense gaming. For my consultancy job as a programmer statistician, they never set up a meeting that's longer than 30 minutes ever, and it's always to the point and I'm always necessary when they invite me. I wish academia was like that, too
That was great.
@Fax no thx
AND That's exactly how school classes are being attended.
Edit: to see this as a joke was good but to see students doing so wasn't at all. Hope these 2-3 years of disturbance in studies doesn't affect dedicated students 🥂
can confirm although they are over for me now xD
we did that in the weeks before our finals too
YOUR COMMENT IS REALITY
but students will complain if there are no live classes at all. and students expect the professors/teachers to 'entertain' them more, or blame the teachers/professors if the students are bored
I was homeschooled and had recorded class sessions on dvd (it was mid 2000's) to follow along to. I did other things during the classes, like homework for other classes or even Xbox Live. It helped me pay attention honestly, because I could check out until I heard something I wasn't familiar with or didn't understand and I could give that my full attention. (Without wasting a huge amount of time sitting and staring.)
I miss when I could do that. Since January I've been the guy to drive most of my meetings or have to pay close attention since I'm the tech lead/architech.

This is so accurate it shocks me to my core.
A few months ago, I was sharing my screen during a meeting.
I started explaining about the progress of what I’d been working, and like 20 seconds later one of the attendees asked me what the name of the girl was.
Yeah.. I was sharing the wrong screen…
Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t porn.
It was ASMR which made thousand times harder to explain.
what is the girls name?
what was her name tho? the crowd wants to know :D
Whatever it takes to calm the nerves, I guess.

Imagine that they are all playing valorant in the same server and just talking some memorized speeches.
I've been in a 3-hour zoom meeting without video and mic. Never have I felt more useless my entire life.
Lol, speaking from experience, this is 100% accurate. Very important to make sure you’re double-muted to avoid what happened here. Always call in to the meeting on your phone so you can mute that too.

The ending was expected, but it was still funny af
I remembered someone, also known as Mr. Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez said to their Online Class while he playing COD Warzone, "Come on patch, get that thirty. Get that Thirty Bro!!!". He forgot to mute his microphone on their Zoom Meeting Online Class. 🤣
