I love how, even after everything else is gone, all his minions and monsters, lieutenants and equipment, even his ship has crumbled and faded, he still holds himself together for a good 30 seconds...
And all he does is take a seat, and bow his head. No cursing or denials, no enraged last strike at the ones who took everything from him, not even any petty backtalk. Just a quiet moment of, "Well, I guess that's it then," as he lets himself go to dust.

Oh yes, Thanos may be dead but the MCU is gonna be feeling the effects of the Infinity War for a very long time.
In the background when it cuts from Captain America to Thanos in the the pan in shows a guy holding his dying friend before they both get dusted. I always saw that, it was actually really touching.

In every movie, a villain dies in a pit of rage or cursing their enemies. But with Thanos he accepted his loss and the fate that was coming without no hesitation. He was truly a leader, soldier and an honourable warrior put together. Rest in peace to this legend.

I love how Thanos isn't going "NOOO!!" or "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" or anything like that when he gets defeated. While it's a fun cliche that I love seeing for other villains who get their comeuppance, Thanos is much more mature and intelligent so him sighing and resigning himself to his fate seems a lot more fitting for his character. He has my respect.
I am a DC fan, but Thanos really had a message. This is one of the most well-thought villains in the history of Comics, right there with Joker

@@stratyocasterson9237 it's not 616, it's entirely possible that the Stones simply can't do that, we saw that they can't do everything (like bring back Nat), it straight up breaks the first law of thermodynamics, energy can only be changed, it can't be created or destroyed. I suppose that atoms that made up people who came back still existed (just like original Thanos "reduced the stones to atoms), and it was "just" a matter of reassembling them

The only one fighting it off was Spider-Man in Infinity War. The directors were basically drawing it out for dramatic effect. And as it has been noted, Thanos had already accepted his defeat. Just sat down and let it happen.

Reality: Thanos won, and the Avengers cheated w/ time to falsely revert reality. Time travel is not possible.
I feel like the only reason he lost in this reality, was because of his change in his main objective.
The realities where Thanos won showed him as someone who was willing to sacrifice everything for a solution that he thought would save the universe. Even in his delusion his intentions were pure right up to the very end.
The one reality where he lost showed Thanos as someone hellbent for revenge after being showed that his grand plan would never work. Rather then focusing on what was best for the universe, he decided to completely erase everything and start over just to satisfy his own ego.
It was his own arrogance and pride that ultimately led to his downfall.

What a powerful moment. As much as I am not into Marvel, Thanos and his powerful character and intentions always stood out to me. He is, deep down, a tragic yet very competent soul that faces and embraces death with his character intact. Superb character past the chaos. Sayonara for now, Thanos 👌

But Endgame Thanos said that "As long as there are people who remember what was, there will always be those who cannot accept what can be." (Basically if people remember he wiped out half the universe, then they'll try to undo what he's done and resist him, therefore he decided to just kill everyone and use the stones to make a new universe.
I never feel any satisfaction seeing Thanos lose and die. His character MADE Infinity War & Endgame being all time classics. When he sat there in peace and simply turned to dust, it felt to me the main character lost. Not just the bad guy.
Truly the perfect death for Thanos. He intended on snapping half the universe and trillions of lives gone. He got to see his entire army and all he worked for go to waste, and realize his mistakes.

What a well made scene.. After "all his years of conquest".. He limps in pain and sits down with a sigh, just as a worker would after a lifetime of hard toil.. Accepting his fate, bows his head and disappears.. Love that movie and love Marvel..
I love it. No dramatic last words. You can feel his defeat with just the body language alone. He was shocked, disappointed, and ultimately just sat down and accepted his fate. You would almost feel bad if he wasn’t the villain. It was kind of bittersweet though considering we literally spent three phases and 10 years waiting for the this character to make his move. The next big bad guy definitely has some BIG shoes to fill but I’m definitely curious.

Now that the Loki show is out, here’s my theory. There were over 14 million Thanos variants who had to be “reset” or corrected by the Time Variance Authority to insure that he would lose.

No complaints, no promises of revenge, the purpligga just accepts it. He takes it like a man. A big, bald, purple man.
You really get a sense of what the Avengers achieved in this scene. As powerful as they were with Thor, Dr Strange, Wanda, and Captain Marvel; they couldn’t defeat him whilst he had a single infinity stone in his possession. Even without them, he was nearly victorious. Battered an bruised, yes, but he was a pretty formidable opponent. Only Wanda and Marvel closely matched him, whilst Thor was just swatted aside.
And Strange saw all of that. He knew they had to secure the stones, and he knew who had to die so they could win.
