- S11 Ep9 Oak Orchard Brown Trout
After hearing tales of 15-pound brown trout taken in a foot and a half of water, OTW TV heads to Upstate State New York to target monstrous fall trout on the fly. Once there, the crew finds Oak Orchard Creek to be an excellent angling alternative to the busy Salmon River, while still providing all of the same species and action. Chris Megan teams up with old friend Scott Glazier and Capt. Phil Bortz of the Schoolhouse Inn Guide Service to fish chilly water and a red hot bite.
Hooking into some beastly trout right off the bat, Chris and crew get a look at big brown trout that can barely fit in the net. Tune in to learn tips and techniques for targeting big fish on the fly and see an all time first for OTW TV.

Awesome trip! Such great variety up there.
Love to see the actual "hook up" position of the fly in these Trout
I've fished this creek several times. It's got such a strong reputation, that you must get there early for a decent spot. For browns, single egg or sucker spawn in white. White just seems to be the color browns prefer.
i find it weird how people think they know the size of the fish.....just get a weigh net and know for sure
what flies do you guys use for browns? thanks and nice video!
Ya
nymphs and woolly buggers also a great choice
egg patterns mostly
Is the Oak Orchard creek different from the Oak Orchard River.
John Pozucek sss

Wow you truly are a hero. Smfh
Is it fly fishing only there
nope
Do you keep any for future dinners. What's the daily limit to take home per day Aren't they going to die once they come us stream
nope and three per day but all ontario tribs are pretty polluted badly
not recommended to keep these especially big browns. the bigger they are more pcb they got. if you want to keep some you try to keep the smallest ones.
"On the water media" needs a guide to fish the joke! Gimme a break. Spot burning pretenders.
