It's called oak orchard. It's flows from a controlled dam release at the top about 3 miles into lake Ontario. It turned into the Salmon River over the past 20 years, though. Way too much of a crowd for my interest. But, it does get great runs of fish. The only problem is when you swing and tick bottom the way these guys fish it causes you to foul hook a ton of fish. When you get really good you can easily line any fish you can see and hook it in the mouth. It's not much fun when you can hook them at will like that. It's almost a form of snagging, without having to jerk or lift the rod tip, and is absolutely deadly. It's the exact reason I took the indicator nymphing method to that stream and it drastically reduced foul hook ups. Foul hooked fish dont count in my book, I break them off every time.
