- In this video I compare the two exhausts Akrapovic make for the Honda CBR650R (and also the CB650R, CB650F and CBR650F).

What are the differences? Why did I choose my model? What does Homologated and EC & ECE mean?

We can read on akrap official site that S-H6R14-HEGEHT fit only 2019 , its true ? I need one for 2023 and i want homologation.

If yours is the AFT, then yes, this is sold as a “race only” exhaust. This suggests it’s not road legal; but I know lots of people with this on and never had an issue
so the model with carbon tip just like yours is homologated but no cat fit in unless you purchase a cat separately, and the cheaper one without carbon tip cannot fit cat at all
That’s correct. The exhaust I have is the only option to fit a Cat (when purchased new), whereas the AFT (non carbon tip model) cannot have a Cat fitted and is sold as a Race only.
I am unsure if a Cat can be fitted in my version (HEGEHT) after purchase from Akrapovic.

Perfect, saves me a ton of time and hassle. What were your import taxes like because EU (Italy) exhaust cost is £800ish compared to UK costing £1k ish.

To be honest, if you spec the HEGEHT (my one) without the CAT, then they are both effectively straight through cans and systems. The power increase would be the same!

So to be fully legal in the UK, you will need a Cat converter. For this, you will need to buy the HEGEHT and spec a cat fitted from factory.
Mine is the 2020 model and I didn’t spec the cat, but it’s down to preference and risk of being pulled / failing an MOT

I am on UK roads, that’s correct. I didn’t get the CAT it’s less restrictive and allows the bike to ‘breathe’ (plus it sounds incredible).
I have friends that do not have CATs and they haven’t had issues. I just need to find out what I need to do
I looked into this a bit more and I think you’re fine as the MOT doesn’t include an emissions test currently. They only check for ‘reasonable’ noise which I guess is ok with baffle in. Also the CAT looks like another £500!

Hey, I didn’t buy / spec this exhaust with the CAT, but I still have the option of purchasing one should I wish to fit it. This is the only model (HEGEHT) that can have the CAT spec’d, whereas the AFT cannot and is solely sold as the race exhaust.
I believe the exhaust will fit the 2021 model as there are only subtle differences. However, before purchasing, I would recommend you check out the Akrapovic website and ensure it is also got your 2021 model. Good luck 🤙🏻

is this exhaust suitable for cbr 650R 2023 model? When I select the 2023 model year on akrapovic's website, I cannot see this exhaust.

To be honest I am not sure. I am not sure what has changed spec wise on the new bike, so it would be worth checking on the Akrapovic website or emailing them.
