Oil leak at the sprocket? Here's how to fix it!
I recently replaced the output shaft seal on a Yamaha Raptor 660r Quad. Getting the seal out was a little bit of a PITA, but otherwise it was easy to do. Oil was leaking out from behind the sprocket as it was running, not good!

The new metal part seems to not want to go down the shaft when you strike it any clews for that?

Just hope you guys don't have a bad bearing while doing this because the bearing presses into the back so you have to separate the cases. If you're just leaking oil from this area or you're splattering oil everywhere, more than likely this is the ticket.

Are those bi claws on the rear? If so where did you find them?

Do I have to take off the hole chain from the back just to do the front sprocket or I just unscrew the front sprocket and put on the new one ?

as I show in the video, nothing on the rear has to come undone

Did you find the oil splattering around the area after you ride? I recently purchase a 660 and realized black oil had been splattered everywhere in that same area after I was done for the day. I randomly stumbled on this video and realize this could be my issue.

Is the oil on the transmission the same oil as the motor oil?

omg DON"t even think about drilling...
also don't hammer on seals like that. they sell seal drivers. if you don't have the resources, use a socket large enough or a washer. worse case scenario use the old seal to hammer on. no disrespect man you did what you could but those seals leak because of previous improper installation.'
the wear on the shaft splines (this wasn't too bad) should be addressed by using a 60% moly grease.
