I am an American with 5 grandsons and one granddaughter. I discovered Alexander in 2021 and immediately I read everything I could about him and watched all his RUclips videos. I was instantly taken in by him. What a wonderful person of extraordinary talent. I love this guy. God bless and protect him all the days of his life.
Gosh! So lovely at last to hear him speak if a little shyly with an understandable self-absorbed introverted childlike intonation ~ and, albeit somewhat contrived to the advertising promotional sponsor of Japan's Yamaha instrument manufacturing company who must think themselves very fortunate to have managed to capture this sweet young Russian pianist to their commercial needs, and for Alexander to gain, no doubt, well deserved and well earned 'pocket money' :-)
I love hearing Alexander talk. He's seems wise beyond his years but then he has had the best teachers and has been around educated and talented individuals his whole life. The background music playing is the piece "Lilacs" I believe. How beautiful!!

My eyebrows rose when he mentioned the agnostic Julian Barnes' book musing on death. I suddenly realized, "OMG! Maybe this angel Sasha doesn't *realize* he is an actual angel! Maybe he wonders if his life has any meaning!" Meanwhile, I look at him, listen to his music and his voice, and I am totally aware that he is a beautiful soul sent by the Divine! Ah well, he will realize his immortality someday. ♡
I believe a Yamaha piano with an ultra light action and adjustments made to the 'quiet' pedal to give it a wider range, as in the Horowitz Steinway, would open new horizons of expression for young Alexander.
Thank you, Eve! This is wonderful. Alexander gives so much to the world that it doesn't seem right to intrude on his time with interviews and questions. But this promotional interview is very welcome, giving some insight into how he works and rests as an artist. 💗

Just found out today (June 16) Alexander has been unable to get a visa for entry into the U.S. Was making plans for a trip to Chicago where he was scheduled at the Ravinia Summer Music Festival in July, which their site now shows as canceled. What a sad situation! At age 91 I can hope to still be mobile by next year and if so will be there! In the meantime his remarkable talent and personality will still be on RUclips I trust!
Yes,I know that the Ravinia live was cancelled yesterday. I'm sad for those fans who have been longing for a long time. Wish it could be re-scheduled very soon. And it's said that Boston live will be scheduled next year Feb. Hope you could join there. But I'm not aware that Alexander can't get a visa,is it true?
@@evewong3221 That was the reason the Ravinia management gave. The impression I have is not that he was denied as an individual, but that the restrictions on travel between countries which have accompanied the corona virus were still limiting the issuance of visas by the U.S. State Department, and that there is not enough time left to proceed. I did not investigate the other two performances that were scheduled. I certainly would hope to see him in Boston if that comes to pass.
@@richardsawyer9711 Thanks for the information. Then it’s a very hard situation. The tickets of Buffalo are still open which is the first stop of USA. Just only one month left.
He wouldn’t be the first Russian artist that was denied a visa to the USA... the same happened to Olga Smirnova, primaballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet. That was before Corona. The Trump administration had implied new and very restricted visa regulations.

I won't say more about the book for now except it is about a subject we mostly choose not to think about. I shall hope one day that Alexander tells us what he thought of it.
