Un pianiste extraordinaire et un jeune homme d’une grande gentillesse et humilité. Un grand représentant de la Russie. J’ai eu l’honneur de vous entendre à Buffalo à deux reprises. Inoubliable. Merci infiniment.
What a wonderful interview! Alexander's beautiful personality always shines in every interview. Incredible talent, kind and humble person. I'm so happy to be a fan. Also, the interviewer was very kind and asked very thoughtful questions. Enjoyable interview!!
Alex is a most wonderful pianist. Much of what I admire is his most modest manner. He shares the stage. post performance with his orchestra and conductor most endearingly. I wish him continued success, good health, and happiness. He deserves all the success.
Alexander; you are magnificent! Your playing is so relaxing her listen to for me. Your English is outstanding. Please keep the world entertained while keeping your good health . Thank You Alexander
Саша зелёная дорога тебе на твоём пути !!!! Ты великолепный пианист и заслуживаешь мировую известность !!! Русскоязычное население Америки гордится тобой !!!!
This is such a wonderful interview by Alexander. Very insightful and informative. His first Buffalo Concert is now history and it was historic. Absolutely exquisite! JH
Incredible down to earth young man. I’m hoping that some day he can perform at the Palm Springs California Arts theatre. Would love to be in the audience.
I listen to Brazilian's speaking and singing for the same reason! I get a few words as I speak some Spanish. You have brilliant musicians both classical, jazz and the musical forms of Brazil. I love the sound of your language especially when spoken by these artists!
What a wonderful young artist AND human being, what a Shame for this world today that he should be banned and entitled of a polítical policy far away from him!Dear Alexander..be brave among evil doers AND bigotry!
What a delightful , beautifully humble young man. I just listened to his Rachmaninov 3 and it brought me to tears. I cannot but wish him everyting good and wonderful in his life, which will no doubt be incredibly illustrious and hopefully long-lived.
Thank you for publishing this interview! Unfortunately I missed his performance in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Hope he will visit our country soon again, but then in the beautiful Concert Hall of Amsterdam, with great acoustics.🎹🙏
Que maravilla escuchar a Alexander desde Argentina hoy que ganó un presidente libertario despues de 40 años regímenes de izquerda. Adoro a este pianista tan joven y talentoso. Lo sigo desde niño. Gracias Alexander por tu música❤
I agree with all who express their love and admiration for this phenomenal artist and human! I hope one day to hear him play in the concert hall. Following him on RUclips him since a child has been a priveldge. A question: if Alexander finds the Prokofiev easy or not too hard(?!?) which concertos or pieces does he find difficult? It would be very interesting to know. Does anyone recall hearing Alexander say what he finds challenging to play?
Surprises me that a such a high talented young pianist still live with his parents in a little apartment, sharing one bedroom with his sister. Lang Lang at his age was a millionaire!
Thst's exactly the difference between them.LL is an entertainer and a showman.Alexander is a serious musician who serves the music not the other way around. He is humble, modest and sincere and his passion is the music. He is reserved, no theatricals. He lets the music speak.A true and authentic artist.
Buffalo Toronto Public Media: Hello Buffalo, when is Alexander Malofeev coming back to play with your Orchestra ? And will you please announce it here and put the entire concert on youtube later? 🌷
The Golden Boy. SUch a performer. Amazing talent. Do people know this young fellow has relatives in Ukraine. Such a conflict. Listen to him as an artist so talented, Keep politics away from art.
Sad for Russian artists. They suffer and have always suffered under the Russian communist regime. So sad. So very sad. This young man is phenomenal and truly gifted. He has a beautiful personality. God bless him. I feel for him. He spoke out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine and one of his concerts in the U.S. was cancelled because of this. Damn putin.
I think he now lives in Berlin ... and is an outspoken critic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine ... I have scheduled and missed him twice in the USA ... 2 years ago in Ravinia, cancelled due to Covid and this last March in San Francisco when a kidney stone resulted in my forced cancellation ... I AM going to Buffalo in November 2023 to see him, most definitely ... driving 10 hours one way.
I am surprised that an artist of his magnitude isn't paid enough to afford the luxury of living in grander accommodations. If I were wealthy he would want for nothing. I admire greatness. It angers me how much is paid to our athletes in the US when, in my opinion, there talents, are nothing in comparison to Alexanders
Nice discussion of his play style and history in music. When was this filmed? Seems odd to not have any mention of the Ukraine invasion's by Russia, unless it was decided not to mention it by rules before the interview. Also odd that he refences the influence of the Soviet Union, instead of just Russia, given his young age. I suppose that is the narrative that all his teachers and the older generation have, to use it interchangeably.
He merely stated how important the arts were in the previous era.It set the tone for the artists of the future, which is the present day.Not much else positive can be said of that oppressive regime, but they fully supported the artists and promoted the arts. They indeed have a proud and outstanding musical heritage.
Good for him and for the interviewer, not mentioning anything regarding politics. Why should they?! It's about time music and the arts had NOTHING to do with politics!
I agree 100. Just people who is not understanding the power, beauty and the goal of the Art can do such a bad comment ( about this "invasion". Ok, let start from invasion in Iraq and so on...)@@mariapap8962

His humility is as beautiful as his talent and himself. He has grownup and is so charming and open and his laughter is delightful.
I am in my seventies and my dream would be to hear Alexander play live.

Aside from being an extremely talented artist, he is also a very sincere and touching human being.
Oh yes he certainly is a touching young man and a genius.
Humble, is what he is. Humility is so rare in people, that often it's considered a bad thing. Alexander is one of a kind.
Для меня он лучший пианист.Молодец!
What a lovely, talented young man! I love to listen to his concerts. Congratulations Alexander!❤️
He is so cute....and humble. I would be extremely proud and happy to know him and converse about classical music and hear him play.

This is not merely an interview, it is an honor. Malofeev is truly a phenomenon.
His maturity intelligence and beautiful soul reflects in his magical music
How generous of him to share his time and knowledge with aspiring musicians !
Wow, such an amazing young man, best wishes to him!
I love Alexander Malofeev's passion. It is so beautiful. So beautiful.
Peter is a good interviewer. He really asked about everything, but with such empathy and sense of humor.
Alex is a most wonderful pianist. Much of what I admire is his most modest manner. He shares the stage. post performance with his orchestra and conductor most endearingly. I wish him continued success, good health, and happiness. He deserves all the success.
Alexander will return once again to Buffalo in late November 2023. I’m looking forward to seeing him again.
