I have a gen 1, still going strong and performing great apart from a completely dead battery. These laptops are amazing. This video is clearly for a later model but gives me confidence that the inside of mine won't be a surprise.
This video should have said which gen of the X1 was being changed as they differ. I have a gen 8 and while changing the battery physically is almost like this, the G8 has a short ribbon cable which isn't difficult but requires care. Nothing wrong with this video except that.
where can you buy the OEM battery? I haven't found anywhere that has one that says Lenovo on it. Lenovo wanted CDN$200 to relave it. I see batters for C$65 on Amazon but are they any good?
Hi, I have the 7th generation X1 Carbon. The battery is connected by 8 wires to the laptop. There is a connector on the motherboard that I cannot seem to get loose. Please help!

I have this model and I need a replacement battery. Where did you get it from? I don't want to pay Lenovo prices haha
Do all Thinkpad X1 carbons have same battery, or is there difference between generations?

Looks similar to my 6 gen.
So do you just place the battery over the pins and screw it in?

was it worth it? What was the difference in battery life after replacement?

I gave this vid a thumbs down for the same reason.
lift the far side first, i.e opposite to the wires, and then shove it backwards. it took me some fiddling to find it.
@@anthropywork20 this comment helped immensely. Thank you .
Model Specific, please indicate sub-model ... This does NOT apply to all Carbon X1's
