I would like to Thank you Brian, for this video. I had this problem with Edge and the Microsoft Store not connectiong and tried all manner of things.
In the end my issue turned out to be fixed by Disabling SEP and re-enabling it. This video mentions turning off your AV, but I suggest to all users to make this an earlier diagnostic step as it could save you a headache and time.
Firefox worked well continuously, where MS apps just stopped working. I am not sure where the problem lies but a quick Enable cycle of the AV (SEP 14.2) resolved the issue.

I had similar issues with Windows Update whereby it would claim it couldn't connect to the update servers despite having an internet connection (ie Chrome, Edge, IE, Steam, RUclips etc all worked, just Windows Update didn't). The service was running ok. I did some steps in this video which would help remove the update catalog and retried but no luck. A couple of days later I find Windows nagging me for "required updates" to which I did install them, after which I got the green tick to show no updates were available. I just think Windows 10 is still so borked that users'll have these kind of errors more often than not. And given Microsoft has deemed Windows 10 will be the last ever Windows to ship, so they'll constantly tweak and update it as new technologies emerge, these kinds of problems will persist. Kinda makes you wanna love Apple huh?
Apart from that, a great and informative video Brian. This is one I've bookmarked should I ever have Windows Store problems.

4days ago i open win 10 netflix app, popup showed netflix has an update . i deleted old and then all store buttons grayed out when click to install . tired of win10 continued issues. i have 8.1 oem pack unopened. if microsoft doesn't fix soon will swtch. now issue is on 2 laptops in my home.

0x80072EFD, Is a Time signature based error within your router/modem, after hours of looking for a resolution it turns out all you have to do is reset or restart your router.

if you have NetLimiter 4. Make sure you have not disable internet access to winstore.app.exe accidentally.
