Today we attempt to get not one........but two trucks unstuck from a dry lake bed out in Lake Powell. Be cautious when thinking about driving through a dry lake because looks can be deceiving. Sometimes they aren't so dry!

Best line of the video.
Michelle: "How was Dad as an instructor?"
Landon: "OK, if you can read his mind sometimes."
🤣
We might need a tee shirt with that on it.
That was great!! :)
I feel that. My old man would holler at me for ‘not reading his mind’ when I was a tike… Ah, memories.
Most relatable comment on this channel😂
Working on my uncle's farm was the same way. Hand signals looked like a ninja, battling bugs sometimes. 🤣
Never hurts to have backup!
Landon is gonna be Paul's Lizzy🤣
Awesome recovery. Loved the “Really?” “They were racing”.
😂 I love u guys. It was great seeing y'all working together as a family. One of the most profound statements I've ever came across as a retired Pastor is "MORE IS CAUGHT THAN TAUGHT" Those working and living with you 2 are learning more than you could ever teach. Thanks for being real.........not perfect.....just y'all.
I remember the day that my dad and I could just talk in grunts back and forth, blew my mom's mind. It takes many many hours and many many projects to get to that level.
Paul, Matt, Rory, its great to have such wonderful friends. Michele, you are an awesome mother, wife and Paul’s leading lady. Love watching you guys work together.
I’m the same way Paul, I expect everyone to be on the same page but I’ve realized sometimes people aren’t even reading the same book. Good stuff. Last time I tried to visit everyone was gone getting the golden nugget out of the forest, I’ll try again next month.
I appreciate how you guys and Matt's crew clean up the stuff people used to try to get themselves out. Maybe you're required to, but I still appreciate it.
Nice to see Landon grow up and learn from his father, exactly as Paul has learnt from his father ;-)
Love you folks for the extra clean up. Thank y'all... God bless!
Great video as always! Loved seeing Landon getting involved. He is learning every day from Paul. Great teacher.
That is such a beautiful drive between Kanab and Lake Powell. Then again the drive up 89 from Kanab to Glendale is World Class beautiful.
Another fantastic effort with the gang. Had to laugh when Paul said you have to learn to read my mind.
This was definitely a fun video in my opinion teaching Landon the ropes at an early age from what I have seen he is doing really good so far.
Learning from Paul is one of the best ways to learn with the experience that he has
I respect how the entire family is part of the channel and recoveries that is a good thing to see.
Keep up the great work everyone
Nice family recovery the kids will learn a lot from Paul's wisdom.
Nice job Landon,and Company
Very nice video. Great job.
You have such wonderful family, with so nice and clear children, honestly, you can be proud of that.
Greetings from Frankfurt - Gerold -
Where Fab Rats pulled both vehicles out was under water a year ago. I camped at lone rock and boated around it. This is so sad for an amazing lake. A couple miles from Lone rock is Blue pool wash. A wonder slot canyon. Thanks for getting those folks out.
Some people would call that work. You awesome people make it fun. You even make the people you help happy. Well done.
Love seeing your family involved in the mission. Great job, Great family.
The family involvement is awesome 🙂👍
I often contemplate where all of these stranded individuals would be without All of Your Recovery Teams, Wisdom and Expertise🤔 It must be a Huge Relief just to see You arrive😌 GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!🙏🏻😇🙏🏻
FJ says “Ramps? We don’t need no stinking ramp!” Landon the mind reading Fab Rat Padawan. Great video! Thanks!
love to see you putting your kids to work. They will look back and love it even if they hate it now,
Nice job. The good news is that it was more uneventful than you expected due to the dryness of the lake bed. The bad news is the dryness of the lake bed.
Wow! That lakebed muck looks like some nasty stuff, but you did an excellent job with the recoveries, while not getting yourselves stuck. Yeah, this drought is getting scary - that's a lot of water that ain't there!
Bravo! 🤗🤗🤗 ... now all you need is to print out a series of "Fab Rats Offroad Recovery" t-shirts and hand em' out 😁👍
Hearing Paul say he expects people to look at something and use common sense. Plenty of my younger years were this method. Appreciate the country boy methods being used.
Thats awesome to see some local faces. Your show has inspired me to start some projects of my own. Thanks for all the good content and much love!!
Landon did a great job. Well done Kiddo..
You all need a t shirt with your logo on the front and "Handled!" On the back. Love all your vids and great seeing you all work together as a family! 👍🙏❤
Extra vehicles is smart plus showing Landon a skill
Its great to be vicariously part of this crew.
You did not forget the plastic for a second. There's no I dislike laying in cold wet sticky mud.. it'd be Hate. Experienced, well planned and executed made it look easy. Looks like I'll be trying me a Yardley's burglar combo asap. Thanks.
That went slick. Good job and that new motor in the FJ sure works nice.
You need to get that wrecker working for jobs like that, Paul's jeep sounded pretty good, but I am surprised that Lando's truck didn't run better than that, great video guys, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking use along
Totally understand Michelle on the mind reading thing. My husband's the same way. We relate to so much in alot of your videos. 👍😀❤️
Paul showed that the ultimate rock crawler does mud too! An also recoveries!
Landon
My dad always said to me, " why can't everyone just read my damn mind?" When you said what you did about following instructions it really took me back to those days. Thanks for the memory Landon.
My dad was the same way, after a wile all he had to do was look at us and we read his mindlol. I love ya. Have a great day.
So fortunate I got to spend time at Powel and Loan Rock last year. It's still crazy seeing all the water around Loan Rock completely gone..
Great job Paul and crew, looked like fun.
FJ's a beauty! Sounds great!
Paul, another great rescue especially with Landon. Like you said. It could have been worst if it rained. Great to see the Taco, FJ, and Landon’s truck there . All of them Paul put together.🤙😎
Great video,Lan did good! That new motor in the FJ sounds way better now.
Glad to see you have the new engine running. Thanks for the new video!
Great video, so sad that the lake is so low. At least there was not a "Hold the flashlight moment" during the recovery. You can never hold it right for your pop.
Landon’s comment about reading his dad’s mind!!!
That’s the secret to father and son relationships
The FJ, seems to have the sound of more power since you dit the motor swap! Looks totally Bad "A" out there! Y'all are the stuff of legend! Looked easy but I know how it could have been. I've been stuck in peanut butter mud in my Cherokee and dug for hours trying to get out. Had to give up and text for a pull out. Once dark fell my impetus to lay and dig out with the folding military shovel went away as the gator tracks in the mud not far away told me laying on a tarp digging wasn't smart after dark! Lol
Only way some of us learn is by doing and by the way your channel has got me motivated to finally start my 04 regular cab short bed silverado was a 4.3 truck and just picked up a 5.3 doner truck for the drive train thanks 😊
Dang Lando is getting big! Nice work today guys!
Great family effort...
What a mucky mess! With all you have to do, you got er out! Nice job & good luck with the Mopar. Much love ❤️
I like the winching idea. Up in South-west Africa our army recovery units used to operate that way.
@Amy Taylor Hallo Amy, yes I'm well thanks. How are you? It's a bit cold here in Pretoria, South Africa, so I spent much of the day in bed, enjoying a few videos on RUclips. In South West Africa /Namibia, during our border war we often did recoveries similar to the one on this video. I wish you well.
I can relate to Paul. He expects people to be able to use common sense and look at a situation and assess it. BUT... most people can't do that, which is what keeps people like us employed. :)
Trucks looked awesome out there!
Nice job, good family outing.
That new engine in the Yota really rips.
Dang, that’s beautiful country!
Landon is a very impressive young man! He worked this job just as if he has been doing this kind of stuff for a little while. OH! Yeah! He has. Great video of great guys and Michelle, doing a great job! Always glad to see Michelle in a video. She adds some class to the group of guys!!!
Man I kinda miss the ole’ TACO. I forgot all about it until now
"You're plan B"
The words every teen wants to hear from their parents.
Lmao pure gold
Langdon is doing great, got a 85 flat bed square body just like it too
Great job Landon 👍👌
Great recovery! ❤️👍👍👍👍👍😎
Man that new engine made all the difference you can tell she's got some power now
Great family job!
You know Paul means business when he busts out the shopping cart at the hardware store. Lol, swamp mud is stank. 🤣🤣
I get a big kick out of you guys loading and unloading your rigs from the trailer without using ramps. It's probably a small obstacle compared to some of the rocks you guys crawl over but it is fun to watch anyway. Thanks for the video!
Loving the new duramax! Let’s see that puppy and hear your thoughts.
That looked like a lot of fun!
Do you ever get tired of the beautiful scenery?
Like the split screen video.👍😉
OMG it’s crazy how low lake Powell is. Never saw lone rock high and dry. So Sad
Paul is just taking shots at everyone😂😂
That was really nice Job family!! Lando did great and thanks always for a good day today!! Love you all! This is Joe by Summit racing. Bye all.
We love Summit Racing!
@@FabRats Been there many times, I remember when they started in Akron , Ohio . A few miles away from there store now, it was a little shop store.
You are correct! Mud is fun!!
Great videos!! We love them. What a great team.
I eat at Yardleys in Beaver Dam when I make it through there before they close. Doesn’t happen often! They are pretty delicious though!
Great recovery
Nice looking rig you got there Paul the yota looks good.
Alright, fab rats at it! Guys, you made this look easy! Maybe a thing or two to share with Mr Wenzel 😂
Great show. Well edited.
You guys did a great job 👍
Great rescue and vid , But SAD SAD SAD to see lake Powell like that when you see high water mark on the Rock this has to make us all think
Nice awesome to see the yota out and running like a top
Good times at the almost dry lake bed! Y'all have a great day 🤟
Shame the water tables are so low, looks like it used to be a beautiful lake. Nice recovery, thanks for sharing!
Stopped by Yardleys in Littlefield AZ. Great food!
Family is everything! If you have one,use it before its to late!!
You. Make look easy nice job.
Love you guys. Awesome clean fun. Kinda rare these days. Keep up the good work. God bless you
Landon is getting taller!
Great family video. Shame about the lake and they just keep draining it dry.
Made it look easy!
The water levels at Lake Powell and Lake Mead are depressing.. something has to change.
Was wondering, how many young guys over there in the u.s. can drive a stickshift like Lando does.
Good job.
You guys are awesome!
Crazy - I've camped in that exact spot only there was several hundred feet of water between me and that big monolith.
