Matt in the morning , Cool Ranch Doritos and a Hawaiian shirt .
Breakfast of champions.
LOL Iconic
In 37° weather he's a BEAST lol
ready for the boog
@@mimpcinco135 Matt can stand around in his short sleeve button up, in a foot of snow, like nothing is going on, while everyone is watching in awe as they shiver in jackets.
At least he was smart enough to look inside the box to make sure it was in there!
He should have pranked Matt taken it out of the box and put in his jacket
I would have gave it to him empty first just to see his reaction.
@@kellymeier579 lol, Matt apparently doesn't like pranks. He's immune to them. Lol!
@Dakota Jad ya no one gives a shit were not all out here trying to be nosey scum bastards
@@TylerDuysen fake accounts with scams they are all over
“Good morning” Matt appears out of the darkness, Hawaiian shirt on, cool ranch Doritos in hand ..... it’s gonna be a perfect video
Aloha shirt ***
Jefe missed a great chance to mess with Matt and hand him an empty black box.
That is what I was hoping it he would do.
"Haven't had a nap in years." There are some Fab Rats videos that say otherwise! :-)
Yupp, that Papa Dar chair will get you every time.
I was thinking the same thing 🤔😅
Maybe he meant a purposeful nap just to nap lol
LOL.. “Busted”..
@@douglasdarby8584 Matt was checking his eye lids for cracks.
Matt, your son always has a smile on, and it's a good smile and a good attitude. You and your wife did a great job raising him. The Corvair you guys built is one heck of a machine. That there is 2 things you can be proud of for sure.
I agree with you. Matt and Jamie are fine parents bringing up their kids like it should be. Kudos to both y’all’s.
M to
When you consider this vehicle was not built by professional vehicle builders i think you guys did an amazing job and should be extremely proud and i for one can't wait to see the finished product out on recoveries .
I love this guy because his videos are cool and he doesn’t hide the mess ups, I respect that he shows the fails and mistakes as well and as the hard pulls that are incredibly hard to do in Utah’s terrain . This corvair is the coolest 4x4 ever!
I'm here to watch the whole thing y'all. No need to tell me to stay after the extraction cuz the reason why I watch y'all is because of the CONTENT baby. I wish I could work with y'all honestly 😅
As a Canadian boy seriously thought about proposing to work with them based on snow recovery experience.
Sunday mornings are best spent with Winder Towing.
But you have to follow up with Fab Rats.
So true.
After church on Sunday morning.
Hi, I'm with the US Military in South Korea, and we watch your videos all the time, and they are great! We were wondering if you guys could do a detailed video about the towropes, chains/hooks, shackles, and winches you use in your recoveries and how you use them. Plus how and when you use air pressure in your recoveries. Thank you and all the people involved so much for bringing these videos to us.
💯✌️
"So, yeah it's mostly my fault ..." *evil laughter followed from spouse*
How could anyone dislike anything this crew does. They always have a smile on their faces, and a good word for everyone they encounter.
Rudy's cheeky smile at the end of the video was pure gold. There'll be a story behind that like this was Matt's third attempt, and Rudy was laughing about whether this time he'd get right. I love it.
It’s that red Hawaiian shirt...;)
For no windshield, it's child abuse.
You know I'm kidding, right?
Hardworking, very casual small town folks who love what they do. Also great dogs. One of the best channels on RUclips. Next time I drive up I-15, I'm going to stop and say hello. Maybe I'll get stuck and make a call.
I have it has something to do with hating their own life so by default disliking everything else
wow times have changed from Matt's first walk around with his jeep! Saying "I don't know what to say or show you" looking confused recording. Now it's "Why don't you come with me" as he slides under the corvair to show us what it looks like!
Not a corvair’s first recovery. In May of 1965, I was driving a 1962 spyter, I spotted an older 1948 car off the road with a older guy trying to push his car about 100’ back to 42 street in Odessa across from the coliseum. I drove out to him and offered to pull him to the road and start his car. After explaining how I wanted to do it. He had his doubts but after working with my dad in the oil field, I had experience with vehicles off road. After pulling almost to the road and gathering some speed , he engaged the clutch in second and started his car. After getting my pulling strap off we parted ways. My first recovery with my Corvair. PS: he offered to pay me , I told him just keep his money and get a new battery.
Matt, thanks to you and your whole crew for your hospitality and thanks for taking the time to talk with us about our travels and things in general; your kind words about our "Blue Steel " XJ overland build mean alot, and please, if you ever make it down to Florida, look us up, we would love to see you guys again!
CK, Drew, and Keri @Traildog Adventures
The Corvair has a nice growl!
It looks and sounds so good !!!!
"You guys have a windshield! You guys are LUCKY!" Bahaha.
Did you watch the whole video? Matt talks about the windshield at the end.
lol
Windshields are so overated
I can’t imagine why they haven’t installed a windshield yet. 🤷♂️
@@matthewtaylor3308 apparently the local police let him get away with a lot of things
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. I’ve been binge watching all these recoveries. Being raised in rural Wyoming I did my fair share of getting stuck and developed some skills to get out!
It’s really one of the coolest builds. The stance is beautiful, the sound is insanely nice the capabilities are what everyone wants, it’s almost like you knew what you were doing. Great job.
Hi y’all!
I think it’s safe to say that all of us watching always watch till the end.
I’m a Canadian that lives far away from any rocks and dirt in downtown Toronto. I never thought I would love to watch “your” recovery videos but I do. However I think my favourite part of your channel is the family element. I just think is so AWESOME how everyone is involved and get there hands dirty together. It’s real special to see a tight group of individuals
doing whatever it takes to help out one another. It’s fantastic. 👍🇨🇦✌️
Hello fellow Torontonian!
✌️
Both familys out on a tow so much fun to watch you guys are the best
Matt, finished is just one person’s perspective.
My dad, prior to me coming along into his life, in the mid-1960’s, belonged (still does, even though the club is no longer active), to a car club named The Shifters. His car was a Corvair. I’ll ask about the year, I’m not sure. But I sent him a link to your channel so he can see what you are doing. He lives in NorCal, and is a 4x4 enthusiast, so your Morvair is right up his alley. He’s 82 now, but he liked your channel and have a feeling he’ll tune in again.
Keep up the effort and thanks for all you do, not just with recoveries of vehicles and people, but with charities in your community. You are an inspiration and a God send. Blessings....
My dad replied that he had two Corvairs.
One was red, 1950’s model, and a later year which was black.
Every time I see a Corvair, I think of my dad.
This thing is FREAKING AWESOME!!! Having to only make a couple of changes, from things you already figured on, shows how well you built this rig!! Well planned Dude....we’ll planned.....🤙🏼
Another milestone reached with the MORRvair - what a journey this has been
“ I do a lot of that, because I’m impatient”
Me too Mat, me too!
The Corvair is a monster in the making. We enjoy your joy in the whole build and test drives. Matt, Rudy and the rest of the build team can be very proud of your build. South African greetings.
Beautiful project, if I can say that without getting beat up. It's just so fun to watch this all go together, and then see it in action. The camera work is getting better for sure.
Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me want to move to Utah. But then I realize how hot it gets in summer and change my mind. I'll just live vicarious through your youtube channel.
Just 40 miles North of where Matt lives the temperature is 10-15 degrees cooler. The altitude climbs a couple thousand feet so it's not near as hot but the winters are colder.
Well Matt lives on the edge of a pocket that is a lot lower in elevation than the rest of Utah. Where I live it usually doesn't hit 90 until Memorial Day. Yeah. Then it stays above 90 until Columbus Day. And it's only 100 from Independence day to Labor Day. In fact, it freezes at night as early as Halloween and we get snow as late as Easter. So it's really mild overall.
Shows up in the morning with a bag of Doritos. Legendary
Cool ranch... How???
@@tsp159 because they're tasty
Everytime I get to see that Vair in action it becomes the (newest) coolest thing I may ever see.
You guys truly have some beautiful country out there, I enjoy the content, thanks for sharing it! 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸

Matt is an enigma, and I watch this FAR TOO MUCH.
ur rite!! the guy is backwards n his eating habit are pure garbage...
@@tomortale2333 uhhh sorry about this. Right*. And*. Habits*.
🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Spot on !!! Naturale
lol i didnt even recognize that was him in the sweatshirt at first
@@tomortale2333 C’mon man, that is disrespectful towards him. We cannot be going around talking about people’s eating habits when US citizens, including you, are the worst at it.
Pls stop judging people with standards we cannot uphold ourselves !!!
When both trucks start backing up after winching. Badass
I thought they were going to get carried away, keep going, and get the side by side in the pinch point.
Your Corvair looks beautiful and sounds beautiful. I am so happy for all of you. Nice maiden recovery. I could listen to you talk about car specifications all day, even though I have no idea what you are talking about. Your knowledge about engineering and car operation is amazing. Thank you for another lovely video.
Awesome recovery and awesome enthusiasm in the controller retrieval 😁✌🏻👌🏻
I always love to watch the teamwork between you and Paul. It's like a perfect harmony.
Absolutely! You guys are great individually, and even better together.
Paul at Fab Rats is always there for you. Old school friendships. Nice to see this day and age. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
From what I saw in the Moab video, that Corvair Smoked every challenge there. Truly Impressive for a "Shake-down run."
The suspension really seems to work well.. especially watching it roll over ledges and uneven patches.. it just floats. No uncontrolled or awkward motion to it. I bet it feels super nice to ride in. All that work is paying off. Really looking forward to seeing this rig do some work.
She looks good going across the desert!!
This is better than any car show out there.
It was at a car show a couple days ago.
Love that Corvair!
My story is from the '90s when I was pulled over in my 1960 110, and ticketed for everything under the sun!
When I say bone-stock I mean it! That car had no horn, no seatbelts, no high beams, and believe it or not no Park on the push-button automatic transmission!! Come to think of it I don't think it even had turn signals!
When I went to court the judge read out everything wrong with that car, then said, you know I had one of these in college and all that stuff was "optional"! He said he loved that car and dismissed ALL charges!!
Rock on Bro! I too love those cars!!
BINGE WATCHING Matts offroad recovery absolute blast to watch and learn ever episode, the corvair wagon is absolutely BRILLIANT !!
man that tacoma is SICKKKK
My Daddy quoted some one who said, "Them that don't do anything, don't make any mistakes"
This is the video where Matt should have talked about floatation. With all that overland stuff that taco weighs close to the Morrvair.
"We bent some metal on a trail called Steel Bender" 😂😭
The sound of that Beast is visceral! I love V8 noises, I love the look of the Corvair. You guys have put together an irresistible RUclips channel! Thanks for the entertainment!
Seriously, who’s the three people that didn’t like this maiden recovery? Well done guys! Can’t wait to visit Utah.
Fab Rats? LOL Just joking!!!!
The same 3 people who dislike certain foods, sports, people etc. It's ok for people to dislike things.
@@Ryan-yo4dg that’s true. It’s just these guys have so much fun together.
@@Ryan-yo4dg Then don't watch?
It could be the ones that had they're hope's up they were the first recovery?
I think it's awesome you guys worked so hard building the Corvair and are already out enjoying it. I wasn't convinced in the beginning of the build it would be cool but I love it!
Very surprised how well it does on the rocks and then on the highway! Good job guys! Can't wait to see it fully finished!
That was a pretty awesome shakedown video! The wheelie you pulled going up that one hillock was epic!
My Sunday morning is now complete - breaky, Matt and Paul on a recovery! The Banana did its job on its maiden voyage. THANKS!!
I love how Matt knows he build a great rig and he's not babying it. He built it to offroad and he's ripping it through the mud first job. Love it
Super proud of how far u all have came thru it all great family values and good friends ! This show of yours is my favorite each show is always great say hi to Ed love u guys !!! Lifetime subscriber here!!!!!!
Love how beautiful southern Utah looks. Can’t wait to go back.
Ya, those shots around Lake Powel are pretty amazing. I've spent some fair time in S. Utah, but only done Lake Powel from the Nevada side. Much flatter on that side, but the back road in is pretty awesome.
Hahahaha when Matt pulled out with a big bag of Doritos and a Hawaiian shirt I lost it!
Now I wanna put my Hawaiian shirt on and eat Doritos.
Man, that thing looks, sounds, and performs amazing! So worth the wait to see it out in the field! 👌
Awesome video! I love how Matt brought the creeper cam under the Corvair and showed 1st point of view all the under side and damage. The Corvair sounded great after the recovery was over and you guys wheeled it a little. The engine sound reminded me of when I was a kid and my dad took me to the dirt track stock car races with him. The scenery was incredible. Just a really good video. Always nice to see Paul on the recoveries too.
I literally just gasped and said "Yessss" when I read the title.
I don't typically do that 🤣
That recovery was smooth as butter! The bananna splits first recovery was a total success!
Giving you guys tremendous credit to get this running and functional. I could imagine a lot of fab shops getting mired down on a project of this complexity.
Your videos are worth watching, just for the fabulous scenery. The recoveries add another dimension.
Just WOW! Loved every part of this video and combined with the Fab Rats version it really made my day. I was grinning all the way through both videos. I really can’t say enough. You guys (and gals) have a magic combination of interaction, technical skills, video capture and editing, explanations and shenanigans. 👍👍👍👍👍😎
"I do that a lot, because I'm impatient." Lol, I know that feeling.
That things a beast! Can't wait to see it working full time.
The Corvair is a SICK build, Matt. Way to go MORR team! Looks great, sounds great, and more importantly, performs great. Can't wait to see it on more recoveries.
Love to see you guys put it to work before even getting the glass and interior in. Awesome build! Cant wait to see it “finished” but more importantly cant wait to see it doing more rescues!
Blimey, Rudy is really turning into a mini-Matt.
Just smarter. :-P
Like others have said, we've been waiting for this! That thing did outstanding and has a deep throaty sound!
My wife and I are group leaders for an Addiction Recovery Program. When your music started in the background, I realized that it is addictive and that I have become addicted to it. I will have to use the 12 steps to work on that!
I love that Corvair! The build series has been a joy to watch! I really appreciate the part you give us in your thought process.
Thumbs up from Norway. The Corvair is awesome !
Nice to see the Towvair in action
I had a '60 Corvair which should have been renamed "TOWvair". I was stranded along side the road more often than not!
This has turned into my favorite channel! You guys have great camera presence and the videography just keeps getting better. Of course, the best part is watching Matt's thinking processes during ever-changing and challenging situations.
Matt, I've been watching your channel for a few years now. I've been watching some of your older videos. I really like this one for the authenticity and the introduction of the MORRVair. I love your videos.
It won’t be finished until you put it in a museum. Just like an Artistic painting 🧑🎨❤️❤️🐾
Yeehaw! Congrats you all! I can't wait to see how the windows are installed. I learned a little about cars from Pat Goss (when he only had a gas station and one could see the engine) and have found the build fascinating. Everyone's sense of humor is awesome, and I love to watch your little dog pack run free.
Awesome fun build! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I think that is awesome that you guys got that finished can't wait to see the windshield and all the glass put in and the filler tube for the gas tank keep up the great work keep on roading
This was the day I was waiting for 🥲

I absolutely love this group. Always got to have some fun after the jobs done. Makes me giggle every time 😁😁
Congratulations on the first rescue! I’ve been watching the whole build and have learned so much! Helps me on my modest restomod of my 67 c10:)
Can't wait to see the finished product. You have done a fantastic job on the Corvair.
just fabulous work, scratch built everything and it only needs a few tweaks .. what an amazing accomplishment
The video we’ve all been waiting for ! Glad to see it crew.
Congratulations on your first Corvair recovery! And you avoided all that mud! I've always like Corvairs. The original concept was a great idea at the time. The building y'all did on this is fantastic - Men making things! Wish I could be there for the "reveal"! When?
LETS GO CHAMP!! 👍✌️💪

I just absolutely love the look of that vehicle. I really want one. Can’t wait to see it 100% complete. ♥️
I can't wait for it to be finished... Eventually. Best line ever!
I love how Jamie can back out a trailer wearing a dress and show up to a recovery in a pair of sandals, she rock's.
Those are Utah 'Safety Work Sandals'.
Matt can drive wearing a black dress.. you just have to look away
The Morrvair, is awesome, you have to be extremely pleased with yourself and your team, always a great feeling when I can witness a dream come true,Prime example of perseverance and hard work! Great job Matt.
Wow it's been such a cool build series, so nice to see it all come together, thanks guys

What’s an off-roadie without a little damage. Really nice package! Y’all are going to get there, just keep plugging away at it. By the way this is one of my favorite channels.
The MORRvair (that's what I'm calling it until it has an official name) is just such a beautiful piece of machinery, the incredible capability is just icing on the cake. It's amazing all the way around. I can't even imagine how well it will perform with improved gearing.
Nice job with the foresight of the name. :-) You should show this comment to your buddies and claim at least a couple beers, if not bragging rights for a while!
Wonderful family and team not a bad video yet, love and prayers keep towing!
I've waited so long for this!!!!! Love your content and creativity

Matt, I am so in love with the Morrvair, I get goosebumps when you start it up and when you get down on it, what an amazing vehicle.
Ahaaa Corvair brings back so many memories of running a Corvair Dune Buggy. Good friend milled off the two carburetor in necks for 3 each side webber carbs on a 140 heads. Had Covairs stacked in his front yard like cord wood for parts and such. I drove one of his Corvaires for years it was great. The local Home Owners Accession had a fit with the stacked up Corvaires in the front yard. Wish I had a picture to share. Great Videos keem em comin, thanks.
