Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
My wife just handed me the remote and said "I'm going to bed, now you can watch your sand trap show". LOL!
How does Lizzie drink a jumbo drink when she is going to be out in the boonies for hours at a time. Rofl.
If that scouts got a clutch all you have to do is let her roll downhill fast enough time pop the clutch and I’ll start and I will run come on man man
Lizzy not taking those turns wide while being towed absolutely mangling the paint was killing me... the goal is to stay out of the trees as best as possible... seems like basic common sense to me.. but hey idk... “facepalm”
If the owner thought it needed a starter... wouldn’t it have been easier to bring a starter out and try swapping it?
If your starter ever dies, try hitting it with a hammer (or a rock) on the side, many times this will give you one more start out of it, saved me once in a K5 Blazer.
Back in the 1970s in EL Dorado County, California, I was stopped by a county sheriff's deputy while towing my wife home after a breakdown. I was using plain old hemp rope, 3/4-inch doubled twice, buffered around the bumpers with inner tube chunks. He looked at the set up, raised an eyebrow, asked where we were going. I told him, and he finished the stop by telling me, "just so you'll know next time, you are supposed to use a tow bar." He left, I finished towing the car home, and then asked a local mechanic what a tow bar was.
As a Grandfather, I hope that my grandchildren grow up to be helpful and courteous as is Lizzy.
The Scout triggers a flood of memories . My dad bought a brand new 1974 Scout II , we wheeled all over southwest Colorado every summer in the 70s and 80s .
Lizzy did a pretty good job with no brakes and no power steering. Nice job everyone!
Randy to the camera: This rides rough and is really noisy inside.
Randy is in a constant state of hysterical laughter. Cracks me up every video.
The "inoperable vehicle adventures of Randy and Lizzy" are always hilarious
Rules to flat towing:
Lizzy: How was that ride!
Makes you appreciate the “power” in steering and brakes.
They make a nice little heat shield for scout starters. Keeps them going longer since the manifold heat always kills them. Scout owners should be able to change out a starter in five minutes from practice -ex Scout owner.
At least this time Lizzy and Randy had a windscreen, doors that close, and tyres (tires) inflated, on all four wheels.........And no dust coming in......lol
Lizzie is a diamond bless her cotton socks she is a real gem. You guys make a fun go at everything.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Your office has the best view.
