Can you help me out, because I don't understand? People before Jesus never could have hear of him, so they are saved if they were righteous and believed in God? What about people before Jesus who never heard of God? What about people who never heard of Jesus because they lived in North or South America before Europeans came? What about some isolated tribes who never heard or have concept of God and still live today? If every righteous person who never heard of God or Jesus is saved, because of their ignorance, then the best thing to do is not spread the word of God at all, because if you do, now that person must believe in it to be saved and if you don't, it would certainly be saved.

@@frankwhelan1715 I agree. Christianity, if you would believe in that story, is most selfish thing there is. Every charity and every gospel spreading is not a moral act, but simply obeying God so that Christian can save himself. And think about this: if Jesus is the only way, then God is unfair, because many couldn't hear about Jesus. If Jesus is not the only way, then spreading gospel is pointless in best case and harmful in worst case. If spreading gospel is useful, because it makes people better and get them closer to God, then God is again unfair for providing such book to one group of people and not to others.

@@goranmilic442 I understand your concerns regarding the issue of fairness. Romans 1 of the New Testament addresses this question and William Lane Craig does a great job unpacking it as does Daniel Maritz (reasonable faith and DLM Christian lifestyle RUclips handles respectively). I think it was the same way. Not sayinh those practicing human sacrifice probably knew God, but it's very possible God revealed himself to others around the world that are not listed in scripture. Outside of the nation of Israel, I speculate it might have been only a few people, and we probably don't have reports of it, but I speculate that it might have happened. Again that's just my own opinion or thoughts.

I’m also a little confused but at the end he said at 1:15 people who were faithful to God with what they knew about him thus far were saved. Jesus saved people in the past, present and future. so I guess people who died before Christ came to earth were also saved as long as they were faithful to God

JESUS CHRIST CAME IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER ( JOHN 5:43 , " 43.I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive " ) .
JESUS WAS BORN IN BETHLEHEM ; DOES THE GOSPEL STATES THIS ?
MATTHEW 2:1-6 , " 1.Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.3When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.4And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.5And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,6And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel " .

WHAT PROPHET WAS THIS WRITTEN BY ?
MICAH 5:1-2 , " 1. Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.2.But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting " .

SO , JESUS WAS BORN IN THE FLESH BY MARY , BUT MICAH 5 STATES THAT HE HAST BEEN FROM OF OLD , FROM EVERLASTING .
WHAT WAS HIS NAME WHEN HE CAME THROUGH THE FLESH OF WOMAN ?
JOHN 1:1-14 , " 1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2The same was in the beginning with God.3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth " .
THE WORD IS THE ONE WHO MADE ALL THINGS , AND HE CAME IN THE FLESH .
WHAT NAME DID HE COME IN ?
JOHN 5:43 , " 43.I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive " .
HAVE WE SEEN OR HEARD THE FATHER AT ANYTIME ?
JOHN 5:37 , " 37.And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape " .
IF WE HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD THE FATHER AT ANYTIME , WHO IS THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD WHO TALKED TO MOSES , AND ABRAHAM , AND ISAAC , AND JACOB ?
EXODUS 6:1-3 , " 1.Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.2And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them " .
ABRAHAM , ISAAC , AND JACOB KNEW HIM BY GOD ALMIGHTY , BUT HE HAD NOT DECLARED THE NAME JEHOVAH TO THEM . DID HE HAVE OTHER NAMES ?
EXODUS 3:13-15 , "13And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.15And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations " .

HAS ANYONE SEEN OR HEARD THE GOD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT ?
EXODUS 20:1-17 , " 1.And God spake all these words, saying,2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.13Thou shalt not kill.14Thou shalt not commit adultery.15Thou shalt not steal.16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.18And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: BUT DO NOT LET GOD SPEAK WITH US , LEST WE DIE " .
EXODUS 33:17-23 , " 17.And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.18And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.19And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.20And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.21And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:22And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:23And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen " .
EXODUS 34:1-9 , " And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.9And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
SO, THE GOD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT WAS SEEN AND HEARD ; THIS CANNOT BE THE FATHER , BECAUSE OF JESUS STATEMENT IN JOHN 5:37 .
JOHN 5:37 , " 37.And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape " .
IN JOHN 1:1-3 , " 1.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2The same was in the beginning with God.3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

WE HAVE TWO GODS HERE . THE FATHER AND THE WORD .

DID NOT MICAH SAY : " HIS GOING FORTH WAS OF OLD , FROM EVERLASTING " . JESUS CHRIST IS THAT GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT .

BUT WHILE DOES HE SAY :
DEUTERONY 6:4 , " 4.Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD ; OR
DEUTERONOMY 4:33-36 , " 33. Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?34Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?35Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.36Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire " .
OR THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SAY THIS :
1 CHRONICLES 17:20 , " 17. O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears " .
ISRAEL IS THE ONLY NATION ADOPTED BY THE GOD OF ISRAEL , THE ONLY NATION UNDER THE LAWS OF THE FATHER . MANY NATIONS HAD FALSE gods , BUT THE GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT IS THE ONLY GOD THAT HAS DEALT DIRECTLY WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL , NOT THE FATHER . JESUS CHRIST CAME IN THE FLESH TO DECLARE THE FATHER .
JOHN 1:14-18 , " 14.And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.18No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him " .
WHEN THE WORD ( WHICH IS JESUS ) BECAME FLESH , WAS HE GOD OR MAN ?
PHILIPPIANS 2:5-11 , " 5.Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father " .
GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION : YOU CANNOT BE 100 % OF ONE THING , AND 100 % OF ANOTHER .
DID JESUS STATE , WHILE IN THE FLESH , OF THE PAST GLORY WITH THE FATHER ?
JOHN 17:1-5 , " 1.These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was " .
WHY DID JESUS CALL THE FATHER , THE ONLY TRUE GOD ?
BECAUSE THE FATHER NEVER GAVE UP HIS GLORY TO BECOME FLESH AND BLOOD .
WHEN DID JESUS RECEIVE HIS GLORY AS WITH THE FATHER BEFORE THE WORLD WAS ?
ROMANS 1:1-4 , " 1.Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,2(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)3Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;4And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead " .
WHEN JESUS CHRIST DIED , WAS RESURRECTED , AND APPEARED BEFORE THE FATHER FOR OUR SINS , HE BECAME OUR MEDIATOR , THROUGH THE ORDER OF MELCHISEDEC , THE PRIEST OF THE MOST HIGH GOD . WHO IS MELCHISEDEC , THE ONE WHO MET ABRAHAM ?

THE ANSWERS ARE IN GENESIS 14:18-20 .
GENESIS 14:18-20 , " 18. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all " .

      AND HEBREWS 7:1-3 .
HEBREWS 7:1-3 ( HEBREWS 7:1-3 , " 1.For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually " .
MELCHISEDEC IS KING OF SALEM ; WHICH IS JERUSALEM ; WHERE ZION DWELLETH
PSALM 48:1-3 , " (A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah.) 1.Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.3God is known in her palaces for a refuge " .
PSALM 132:11-14 , " 11.The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.12If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.14This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it " .
LUKE 1:26-35 , " 26.And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God .
MELCHISEDEC IS PRIEST OF THE MOST HIGH GOD .
HEBREWS 7:11-17 , " 11.If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.13For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.14For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.15And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,16Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.17For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec " .

MELCHISEDEC BROUGHT FORTH BREAD AND WINE FOR ABRAHAM .
MATTHEW 26:26-29 , " 26.And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.29But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom " .
MELCHISEDEC IS KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS .
ROMANS 10:3-4 , " 3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.4.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth " .
MELCHISEDEC IS KING OF PEACE .
ISAIAH 9:6-7 , " 6.For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.7.Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this ") .
MELCHISEDEC IS WITHOUT FATHER , WITHOUT MOTHER , WITHOUT DESCENT , HAVING NEITHER BEGINNING OF DAYS , NOR END OF LIFE ; BUT MADE LIKE UNTO THE SON OF GOD ; ABIDETH A PRIEST CONTINUALLY .
MICAH 5:2 , " 2But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting " .

Genesis 15:6 should seal the deal especially as it is clarified in Romans: “What then will we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? If Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about - but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness. Now to the one who works, pay is not credited as a gift, but as something owed. But to the one who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness.”

The people in the OT probably had no clue what the Messiah would do on the cross, but hoped for a deliverer from enemies. The people in the OT were saved by grace, but not through faith! Paul says, "But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian" (Gal. 3:23-25). You see they weren't justified by faith prior to Christ. Abraham was a prophetic type of this age of faith and justification.

Yes and Paul confirms that: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood-to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.”

Abraham was before the law and he believed not for salvation but for the promise he would have descendants. People were saved simply because God chose them for Salvation, just for being hebrews and through the sacrifices they and their priest presented, by works of keeping the law as much as they could, by grace and faith mixed with works, rules, and rituals. Now it's by faith alone in Jesus's work and blood. Big difference

Man has always been saved through Jesus. The scriptures say:
      1. He was slain from the foundation of the world.
      2. Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever.
God is trinity: Father, Son and Spirit. Whichever of Him you know works. Humankind has always known God (the Father). Believing and obeying Him (regardless era, race or place) includes you in His benefits, which one of them is the saving act of His Son on the cross. Salvation has always been about Faith.

Correct. Paul lays this out in great detail in Romans. After showing that ALL have sinned and under judgment due to sin, he explains that Abraham is the father of the faith, as he was saved by believing God. Those under the law were ALL guilty of falling short of perfectly keeping the law (ceremonial and moral laws), and ALL gentiles failed to perfectly obey their conscience. Yes, it was "credited" as righteousness to Abraham (before the law came) to David (having his sins "covered" by the blood of sacrificed animals). And, because Jesus had not yet come to accomplish complete atonement, such people could not yet be taken into the presence of God but went instead into the belly of the earth, to the bosom of Abraham, until Jesus died and took them into heaven while still in the grave and not yet risen. How could He do that? Because He took the keys of death, hell, and the grave, which empowers Him to sovereignly also (some might not like this) appear to people at the time of their death and deliver the gospel message personally--"I will have mercy on who I will have mercy," also, "You have not chosen me but I have chosen you."
The piece that I am still missing is this: even though Paul explains that every person will be judged by the light he had, meaning that for those under the law it was the light of the commandments, and for the gentiles it was the light of nature (as evidence of existence of God) and light of conscience, Paul does not explain how exactly these gentiles will be saved (of the those who will be saved from this group, having implied some will and will not be saved). I know intuitively that no one can be saved apart from Jesus' shed blood, either consciously and directly, or in some indirect way as in the example of Abraham (who was not directly given the precise gospel message, for the coming of Jesus was only suggested or implied in God' statement to Abraham, "Through your seed all the nations of the world will be blessed." SO on what basis will God save some of the gentiles who never heard the gospel? Keep in mind that scripture makes it crystal clear salvation of not based on good works, lest any man should boast and this boasting supersede the cross.

There was no statement that God will come to earth and live with the people and be killed by them in the old testament. They only know 1 God which is the only God. It doesn't really satisfy the requirement which is accepting Jesus as their savior and lord which is the sole requirement of salvation stated in the biblical verses stated.

Understood my friend, I’m here to answer, people didn't get into heaven before Jesus, they were in a waiting place call Abraham's bosom (Luke 16:19 - 31) until Jesus reopens the gates of heaven through His sacrifice. The Bible says they (Gods people) were counted as righteous because they had faith in God. Remember they had animal sacrifice, it was imperfect so it had to be done over and over, day after day, but it was done looking forward to a better sacrifice which Jesus provided.
This waiting on Jesus would also explain why the dead saints were in Paradise in the centre of the earth across from Hell separated by a gulf and not in Heaven with God as they were not made perfect yet. Read Rich man and Lazarus as told by Jesus, it was not a parable which is why Jesus did not say it was a parable.
In that revelation, it shows Abraham himself to be there in paradise and appears to welcome in Lazarus.
Jesus's shed blood covered those in the past, present and future.
Before, it was faith in what God WOULD do (Christs sacrifice)
Now it’s faith in what God DID do (Christs sacrifice)
One is in their present time looking forward, one is in our present time looking backwards. But it would be the same eternal effect.

It was as if God tapped me on my shoulder, by the end of the video I was a believer. To make a long story short, a month later, after asking God for a sign, I expirienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit before I even read about it in the Bible. It felt like electricity and heat in the middle of my chest, supernatural bliss and peace and presence of God, it was as if knowledge was downloaded into my break that it was the Holy Spirit. When it was over, I went to google and found a whole website with similar testimonies. Do you think we are all mentally ill with the same halusunation? There is a lot of allegory in the Bible, but somehow Jesus is real! This expirience changed me, my personality is of a different person, now I understand what “born again Christian “ means.
