Storm Soul in BG3 also gets call lightning and the reactivation can be quickened. Not to mention the legendary staff that gives you chain lighting *that can be twinned*
There is also a staff in act one in the under dark that allows you to chill enemies if you hit them with cold damage
Chilled condition doubles cold damage, wet makes a target vulnerable to cold
So if a target is wet and chilled, cold spells do 4X damage!!

If you triple multi-class into wizard on this build, you can get spell scribing on the first wizard level, which lets you permanently learn any spell from scrolls.
BG 3 is the new crack cocaine for dnd players...its absolutely(wink) mental (wink wink)
a hasted sorc is still terrifying, my first run was a blue sorc, final fight was over with a bonus action water and double chain lightnings
My open hand monk basically soloed the fight while my gf was running to the objective

The storm tempest is a strong TT build as well. If the DM starts throwing lightning immune/resistant enemies just get transmute spell MM and/or elemental adept and you're good.
If the requirements for the build are only 5 in sorcerer and 2 in cleric, add some wizard levels for additional spells
Won't druid be more valuable because it will synergize with the cleric's wisdom. Granted there's wisdom stat on this build.
BUUUT, if the sorcerer line is more prominent so most likely it'll be a charisma build. Making cleric only for the tempest channel. Making int might be a smart secondary stat
@@ferrelagrios8199 well my recommendation was based off the lack of spells the sorcerer has, even one level of wizard however grants the ability to learn spells from scrolls and depending on your stats you can get a few extra slots that you can swap spells you've learned. Pretty convenient for any class that doesn't have access to certain spells naturally.

I did this build on my first run and I absolutely love it. in addition to mass aoe dmg, but my favorite go to combo would be luck of the far realm and chromatic orb. If you need to delete a single enemy it is absolutely beautiful!
Boss killer combo 💪 auto crit high level ChrOrb with maxed dice and double damage is a CHUNKY hit. If you've got twinned spell you can chuck two of them at once as well

A build I've seen floating around with solo playthroughs has been the thief rogue / shadow monk multiclass. Doesn't seem to do crazy damage but you get to exploit the hell out of the cloak of shadows ability from the monk with how obscured works in this game, letting you consistently get surprise rounds while dipping in and out of combat. It does seem like it only works for no companion runs though, since if any of your companions are in combat, you don't get to exit and then re-enter combat since they will still be in combat. I'm curious what your thoughts on this build are.
9 sorc / 2 cleric / 1 wizard (You can learn spells and getting summon elemental is great.)

Or maybe 4tempus 8abjurer but then i need the 1st feat for agathys.. not sure, because i would only get that very late in that build.. respecing is so op in bg3, its also alot fun
my current bg3 char is this build. the first spell I picked up was chromatic orb so that I could either lightning or thunder aoe at lvl 1 sorc.
At later levels it's pretty busted to twin cast Chain Lightning
I started playing this in my main playthrough a month ago, WORTH IT.

Sorcerer 6 / Tempest Cleric 6 gets two uses of channel divinity.
Have an ally cast Create Water for you and on your turn Quicken Spell a 6th-level lightning bolt and a 5th-level lightning bolt.
Assuming a 65% chance for full damage that's 207 average damage PER ENEMY in one round, and you can short rest and just do it again with slightly less damage because of the lower level spell slots.
Level 6 Storm Sorcerer Gives you Call lightning, 3d10 each round, wet 6d10, as a lvl 6 spell 6d10 (12d10 if Wet). If you go Storm 6/Tempest 6 you can maximise 2 times.
What I did is: 2 Tempest cleric, 2 Evcation wizard and 8 Storm Sorcerer. That way no worries about hitting your alies :-)
Yes and combined with Amulet of the Devout. You get two charges of it >B) so it's just not fair.
If you want to really min/max your damage output take draconic bloodline as either blue or bronze and add your charisma modifier to all lightning spell damage you deal 👌 +10 damage (when wet) to every creature you hit with lightning bolt or chain lightning is fantastic, and you get free AC boost and bonus HP
It comes on even faster if you have Chromatic Orb. I killed 2 Worgs at the windmill with the Gnome on it instantly. Oh you have 38-40 hit points? *DEAD*
i like doing tempest 2 evocation 2 blue dragon 8 with the feats elemental adept- lightning and dual wielder
markoheshkir and spellsparkler so that i can blast away with funny dakka without worrying about allies getting hit
Im doing an build with paladin and tempest cleric whilst aiming for that trident in act 3

I have been enjoying Baldur's Gate 3, being my official Taste of the D&D experience aside from your content. Which I honestly Binge your content when on my BG3 runs. I've been playing Druid First, But I got a Wizard, Paladin and Barbarian. Thanks for being my outlet for D&D that helped me Buy BG3.
Fun tip, casting create water on a creature/group of creatures doesn't put you in combat.

Draconian sorcerer damage buff applies im pretty sure to all instances of its boosted damage type in bg3
Also you can do a tempest/ Draco sorc build and use the items that boost cantrip damage and twinned shocking grasp people for insane damage as well should you not wanna lightnig bike only one or two targets
question about dnd/baulders gate, when would you say "high levels" start?
So that accounted for 7 levels. Do you recommend we merge other classes with this build or do we just keep channeling between the two?
