Great vid on a fantastic piece of engineering. Many people find it too complex, but you made a great overview that was quick, and easily understandable, not to mention showing off the powerful aspect of putting your own drums in there.
Also : bonus points - when the levee breaks.

This saved my first experience with the RC-10R since I got it this morning. I wanted to send it back because the 12-bar blues has a faulty intro. It's more of a 5/4 instead of a 4/4 measure so you never get synchronised on the first beat with the sync option on. I followed your video and opened EZ drummer in Reaper and make a 12-bar bluesbeat with a 4/4 metronome count in,saved it as a midi file and made the bar changes in the Rhythm Converter and applied the whole structure into the RC-10. It works......almost.... because a closed Hihat in EZ-drummer isn't a closed Hi-hat in the RC-10 drummer but I think I can figure that out. I'm so glad that I found your video so I can get rid of some of the stupid intro's and bombastic endings . Most of them will work but some of them are digusting. Now I can make my own drum patterns. Thanks man !!!

Holy moley! This tutorial is beautiful. What a great explanation of the uses of this machine. Had no idea of the editor. Does the midi data also use the audio or is it just the time data? For example importing a EZDrummer loop/ drum midi file from my DAW will it have the EZDrummer drum sounds? I'm thinking not, it's just sending the time information.

I'd like to send a midi message from my iPad when I select a song in my lyrics app, and be able to link that with a particular drum beat in the RC10R, rather than scrolling thru a whole bunch of presets in the RC10R just to get to the drum beat I want. Howdy. the midi parameters are located here: static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/RC-10R_parameter_eng01_W.pdf
You can't midi cycle through particular drum patterns. Though you could program a patch change message to it. This would be a bit simpler as you can save tempo data, other memory specific settings. I can understand why you would want to do that though!

I then Apply or Apply All to get it loaded into the RC-10R. The problem is no matter how I do this, it loads the file into all 100 User locations on the RC-10R. I am using the latest firmware and Rhythm Converter software in Windows 10.
