I much prefer watching videos about phones that are about a year or two old. Because these phones can be affordable, sometimes even as an impulse purchase! You can make a million videos about the s22 ultra and the Pixel 6 Pro but I'm not going to be able to try both of them. But almost anyone shopping for a new phone could afford a used v60. Still be a tremendous device for a couple years with a SIM card in it

Yeah the only good thing about it is you can now buy these amazing pieces of hardware for just a few hundred bucks. All of the dual screen devices are worth a look, even if they'll never get Android 12 as far as I'm concerned.
agreed... both my personal and work phones are xperias (xz2 compact, 1 ii respectively)... and have some extra lg phones, mostly because of their novelty...
got the g4 due to just a right amount of curve (not rounded) and its capable manual photography...
g8 for awesome biometrics (3 to be precise) and air gestures...
v50s for being productivity driven, so sometimes use it for work...
wing for multitasking and app pairs that make sense, and software based gimbal system...
you just cannot find those anywhere else, but from lg...

@@pandevera2244 I think LG was a true innovator while also providing more for the money. Sony is in a similar camp in my eyes. Both offer a great camera setup. I just hate seeing LG out of the market. Casuals just kill these smartphones and it makes me sad. And these reviewers who sit here and talk up apple and Samsung constantly are the worst offenders
LG developed the screen with the award winning tv department. When it first came out , LG did alot of talking about how it was developed using alot of their tv tech . Motion and filters etc . They threw everything at it . This thing in video has a throughput of 93mbps video recording we hich is a huge factor in picture quality. Compare the s21 ultra and Apple 13 pro max are in the 40s and 50s Mbps . Reviewers were stupid and lazy when they reviewed this. They never even opened pro mode in the reviews I've seen lol. That's where the magic happens. And 14 hrs of screen time regularly ! The verge and a few other sites said it's still the fastest 5g speeds and 5g performance they ever tested to this day along with signal quality and battery life.

It's great but LG have abandoned the smartphone market. So all of the effort, research and actually good sales throughout 2021 will come to nothing and we will not have V70 neither. I'm so disappointed, LG actually was making money last quarter.
TV department must suck then because they gave this pos screen 60hz, only 500 nits and a 1080 resolution with a lot of green tinge at severe angles. Screen is a downgrade from v40 and v50 and no where near Samsung level which if 1440, 120hz and 1200 nits.
Video recording sucks too because no telephoto compared to iPhone and Samsung so anything past 4x zoom on v60 looks like garbage. Samsung has portrait video which is awesome.
But we get a time of flight sensor great for 3d selfies nobody will ever use👍

V60 forever. The battery lasts forever. Awesome! Desktop mode, durable shell. It's not dex but it's perfectly functional with Android 11. .And the 865 processor is much better than a 888 in terms of thermals. And I have to give LG credit. My G8X got Android 11 and my surface duo never did. Even the dual screen got its own firmware update and the unlocked version.
I guess you could argue 60 hertz is a little dated but I never was bothered by it. And especially with two screens, I'll make that trade off anytime.

I very hard on phones 🤣 it only lasted year and a half. Out of case yes the v60 is not that durable. I've had to replace the charging port because taking it in and out the dual screen case damages it. I also had to replace the back glass multiple times. My back up android has been the one plus 8t which is... Yeah other then surviving drops and what not stays out my pocket as long as possible 🤣. Not a bad device by any means just a testament to how dumb I am for not getting a case and how good the v60 is.

@@kenmastersmaster just wanted to update. I killed my first Lgv60 by attempting to replace the charge port.(the phone charges and turns on but the cell signal is very weak *replaced the antenna* and fingerprint reader doesn't work nor does the dual screen) The bottom board that sits on top of the charger port is very fragile and needs heat and careful prying to release the adhesive. The dual screen charge port definitely needs a flexible setup like the switch because it's already starting to ware out my second v60 charging port.

Completely agree with you. I LOVE my LG V60 and actually feel bad for those that don't get to experience this device simply because they're hung up on using bigger brand names. It's an awesome phone that does everything, even after two years in. So sad they left the mobile phone game. Great review, as always!

Seems like the V60 may be the last true flagship. Current devices are losing features when compared to the V60. It's all compromises from here on out. (written on a second screen while your video played full screen.)

For me, I moved to the s21 ultra with a trade in deal. Now, there were features I really enjoyed from samsung, as being my 2nd samsung phone. But I was always an LG guy. LG v60 is by far my fav phone and I honestly miss it. Been thinking about getting one as a backup since it is so cheap

It's only a matter of the time before you go back to it man I thought I traded it up too but I ended up trading up back to my V60 if you know what I mean especially if you love audio that's 21 Ultra cannot even compete doesn't even have a headphone jack
I used and loved LG and HTC phones since the G2 and the One X. Now I have to get used to using other brands just to stay current with security updates.

Thanks for the update. I'm not a gamer I just need a good phone something that's reliable. I put my trust in the LG V60 and it has not let me down. I had my last LG for over 4 years. I take care of my phone and not interested in trading them out every year. With that being said I most recently bought another main screen just in case anything happens to this one. I also really like the fact that I can add an SD card to it that means a lot to me because I store a lot of pictures.

One thing i recognised when i use this phone is the audio quality and the display.. Watching movies on this phone is superb. The sound quality is top top notch and the big oled screen is amazing to look at. I came from using Vivo x70 pro . the only thing that i missed when switching from vivo to LGV60 is the 120hz smooth display and the night camera quality on vivo but other than that, my LG smokes the hell out of Vivo x70 pro in most department like the it has an ip68 water resistent rating, better sound speakers, better screen,better build quality, better processor, better video recording quality, amazing battery life and many more. One of the best phone imo. If it has 120hz display, it would be unbeatable.

Same here, I 'upgraded' to Pixel6. After the lease, I purchased my V60 from Tmobile, and that was a first. I usually gladly give up my old phone. I kept the V60 because it was easily the best phone I have ever owned! They charged me $156 to keep the phone. That was a bargain I couldn't let slip by.
This phone has been my daily driver since it came out in 2020 and it is still a great phone!

Nope you ain't crazy the Lgv60 Is the underground king it quietly outclasses alot phones that consumers tell you to pick up and pass over the v60. Cameras, audio, build, 🐏 ram, processing power, note taking capabilities no sir not crazy at all

Hey Erik... Is your v60 charging and disconnecting over and over too? I thought it was just my charger but if the same thing is happening to you then i might have to get the port changed
@@fanecuffy5743 Yes, any movement while charging will stop charging. I've tried cleaning the charging port, but didn't help. Flipping the USB C around until it charges works

I was literally looking up videos about how to change my front and rear glass on my V60 and ran across this video. I love my phone enough to fix the glass instead of just getting another phone. You ain't crazy Bruh. I don't have the dual screen, i didn't even know it had a dual screen till i met someone that had one. I'll get one. Now I'm gna tear mine apart w no idea what I'm doing cause I'm too impatient to find anymore videos. I'm sure it'll be fine. Probably

I agree LG v60 does everything I need, but I miss the ultrawide front camera in LG v20. Other than that LG v60 is super awesome, the screen is super smooth that I can't believe it's just 60hz!

Tech preacher I personally own the LGB 60 and I'm in love with it just the same as you are it does everything I needed to do and a whole lot more I can't ask for nothing no better my only complaint is that the LGB company stop making the LG devices cuz they have a good product that I will keep on using until it dies then I might consider on getting something else I left LG for a while but I came back to LG because they know what they are doing as a company I am sorry to hear that they are not producing any phones anymore let's put a bug in the air so that they can continue on making more phones in the future

Your not crazy. This phone is a beast. Mine as ran over by a vehicle and other than the screen being shattered it STILL works and sounds like new. It fell out of my coat pocket at the store. And i was home before noticed. And I went back and found it with the screen broke. All I had on it was a clear case. My only thing is it is a BIG phone and it falls out of my pockets all the time, but I still LOVE this phone!

I actually just got a pixel 6 pro. After using LGs for years, the pixel is driving me crazy!! The signal strength is worse and slower then my old V60. It's to the point that I put the 6 pro back in the box and went back to my LGV60. LG is just a more solid phone for my daily use.

This is why I always come back to your videos Eric. Great stuff man. I had the V60 as soon as it came out but I returned for the camera performance. Mainly, lack of a great portrait mode. In any high dynamic range scenario, the pictures were blown out every time and coming from the OnePlus 7 Pro at the time, it was a deal breaker for me. Fantastic phone all around in every other regard too as you stated. Camera is one of my most used components on a phone though and it didn't do it for me. Rocking the Pixel 6 Pro now and I love it especially for the 4x telephoto. Miss LG though.

@Dartgame 340 what about portrait mode and dynamic range? Any portrait shots in daylight are toast and the telephoto is much better for portraits than any digital crop.
The camera on this phone is Miles Ahead of when it came out the software updates that LG gave it have really improved every aspect of the cameras you're probably using it in an auto mode weren't you buddy

I was a loyal LG phone buyer and still would be today if they stayed around.You can put any LG(take the G8)and hold it next to any Samsung device and see how great the LG displays are.I unfortunately could not handle not getting updates and had to move to Samsung.

I'm keeping mine. It's worth keeping Even if you move your major SIM card to a new phone. It is a terrific portable high quality headphone dac that has all the major codex and can drive 600 ohm headphones. It's totally superior to spending $100 to 150 bucks on a BTR5. And then you get the desktop mode,/ tablet functionality. I think the v60 is set up to have a terrific Android afterlife, long after it's SIM card is out of the phone.
In fact, I would encourage anyone that's about to drop $150 on a BTR5 ( I think it's 129.99 when it's in stock) to buy a used v60 for like 200 on eBay. Maybe $300 if you want the dual screen

I love LG V-line and have been using it since V10, after LG V30, listening to all phone reviewers opinion on reasons why not to continue with LG phones I changed to a OnePlus phone that I hate. I regret getting this expensive phone and wish I would have bought this last LG phone... I Could never get fingerprint sensor to work, horrible screen visibility outside, miss my SD card slot, plus camera options suck. Plus many other reasons 😭 Don't know what I will do without LG.

Also my LGV60 will run my DJI drone app where my Pixel 6 can't! Found out the hard way, hiked out to get some drone footage and found out the P6 won't work, V60 to the rescue :)

Picked up LG V60 with full display case refurbished for $360 and wow this phone is a beast, quad dac is absolutely fantastic with M50X headphone. Replacing One Plus 7 Pro as my primary phone and that's was a great phone.

Typing this on my 2nd LG G8. A phone that fit ALL my needs, and got a return in perfect condition... For 115$. Be smart with your $, buy for your NEEDS, NOT THE TRENDS.

I love samsung I have the Galaxy view tablet and the tab s7 great devices. But I'm stuck with lg v60 for now

Homie. I just found a video on how to fix the dual front screen on the LV V60. If you broke the front screen ebay sells the replacement screen for under 20 dollars. It is for the front screen on the case. You should make a video about that.
Unfortunately my front screen is not broken but if it does break I'll do a video about it but I already have 2 backups dual screen case so I'm not sure if I would ever need a screen. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it
I still have my v60. My only complaint is the fragile dual screen case. Had they put out a more solid sturdier case I'd def still be using my v60 as my daily since the whole reason why I bought was not only for the beautiful strong phone but for it's dual screen capabilities that was such a huge help. It's no longer my daily but still one of my fav phones

I agree with you. LG's phones are way underrated! And give you the best value per dollar!! I vowed that I will never go back to a Samsung phone every again! After I received verbal confirmation from senior level tech support at Samsung, that they implant software on you phone to slow it down after X amount of time so you choose to buy a new one.

I very recently found your channel, and I really like all of your reviews on the LG V60. I especially like the fact that you emphasize the speaker quality and headphone jack performance of this phone.
That being said, I'm shopping around for a brand new V60, but sadly, there are none left. The only ones I can find on Amazon or Swappa are used/renewed. So in your analysis, is it worth the risk to buy a used/renewed V60, especially since LG has left the smartphone game?
Amazon is better because Amazon will take it back if it has a issue. I brought Amazon renewed products and it was as advertise by sellers good luck and enjoy your new toy. V60 baby. !!!!!!

Thank you for the advice. Yes I actually was leaning towards Amazon since they do have a 90 day window for returns on certain renewed products.
There is a Classy Blue and a Classy White I'm looking at, both are roughly the same price with the Classy White being a bit more expensive.
I sorely am tempted to buy both and rigorously test them to see which one shows less wear and tear. I hope I have the same good luck you have had with renewed products, and get one (or two) that will serve me well for the long haul.

I love my LG V60.
The only complaint I have is the Volume Rocker being on the wrong side.
Coming from being a Pixel 2XL I still fumble with the volume.

Man I had the S21 ultra/Note 20 ultra and find myself going back to the V60 I think ill ride it out till the end ..... They should have used a 120hz and it would have bumped up there sales and ditched the wing 🧐🤷🏻♂️ man the screen to me looks better than my Note 20 ultra for some reason like better colors even when it optimize the settings.

Its got the features but you have to open so many option menus its basically for enthusiasts, im getting weird notification's issues and apps that are not downloading now sadly, I will keep it around shit I still love my LG stylo 3 plus. Keep making videos like this but I would never suggest this phone for someone that needs A phone hell no, if you could only have one what would it be?

I want an LGV60 so bad, I fell in love with it in 2020, read the specs, I looked no further I knew that's the phone for me.
I never got it however I still want it. You I talked about this last week or so ago.
There's one thing you said in this video... it doesn't support desktop what does that mean?
I have z note 8, like i said i love this phone it's just the screen is cracked like really bad and I cant afford to get a new phone yet.

I think everyone has their devices they like. I used to love LG back in the day. I never tried any of their flagship devices though. If this is $300, it looks like it offers a serious amount of value for the price. More than any other phones in that price range. Even if it only gets another year of support it looks like an excellent phone.

For $280 it's worth it just for listening to music or for making videos because it does that better than other brands if you shoot in manual mode. Better mics too.
