The LG V50 was my favorite Android phone of 2020 This year the V60 makes a few compromises, but it adds a Dual Screen case to make it one of the more interesting options in the Android space this year Should you buy it?

I have been using LG phones for some time now (since the LG G4). I have to say I love what LG does, they put out a comparable product with better features and a much lower cost to the consumers. I love it!! I just picked up this LG V60 with the dual screen for my wife and I. I figured I'd save my dual screen for her as a back up, well I am actually finding that I love it, I think I am keeping the dual screen for myself. Still learning several tricks and uses for the phone and dual screen. LG has done it again!!!

(Granted comparatively mine required rewinding rubber bands). Always run my gear into ground. New choice is v60. I heard somewhere Verizon has better antenna??? LGs are amazing. The
manual mode helps in my work
taking pictures of small items. BTW- recommend downloading app called "magnifier". It allows focus to see seriously small stuff snd has a negative image function ti better see small features. LOVE the humor in review. Humor more important than ever...and gear should be fun.

I'm still watching this on my old V20 😃 that phone set the bar so high, that i'm in struggle to find a replacement. As far as V-series LGs go, the v20 was the best one in my opinion. Yes, its 2020, hardware is clearly outdated, but its still isnt slow after all these years, display is over 500ppi, its very sharp, cameras are still not bad, laser focus + ois, comparative with midrange stuff in 2020, i'm still ok with it, headphone jack, expendable memory, quad-DAC, AND the most important thing, it has a replaceable battery, and its a game changer.. I can still use this phone as a daily because of this. I got a 10500mah (a huuuge one) battery in it, with a thicker case, and its super, 2-3 days of very heavy usage... And after 4 years of heavy use, it is still flawless. I really dont think that later "V" series phones are comparable, this is extremely well thought out, and is still exceptional in pretty much every department. I'd rather get it again if it were available new. V30-40-50-60 couldnt hold a candle to the V20. That is an exceptional "feature package", and i wish they stick to the good ideas. The only reason that is my last "V" phone, is because all of them seem like a downgrade in some department, flexibility, practicality, or simply just features what the V20 made a must to have

I've love all of my V-series phones. The V40 was the last one I had. Ive been using the G7 for 2 years now which is like 4x longer than I've uses any phone in the last 5 years. It's time for me to upgrade, so the first thing I looked at was the V60. I like it, but man, I've been more and more disappointed with LG since they started removing buttons after the G4. That was always my favorite part about their phones. I can at least unlock my G7 with the fingerprint reader on the back, but now you can't even do that with the V60. That fact alone is going to lead me to consider other phone brands for the first time in a decade.

Thanks for the awesome review as always! I moved from an LG G6 to an LG V60 and man does this phone feel nice! People should be paying more attention to it because it's a great Android flagship for a lot less than the competition. Sure you don't get a 4k screen or 120hz refresh rate, but you do get the dual screen case and battery for days (well, a couple of days). Folks better not sleep on LG!

Gimmicky finger sensor and no facial ID? Damn, that's a show stopper issue. I was about to pull the trigger. And I already know LG is quitting mobile and updates probably won't last. And the wing, velvet have even worse reviews. But This phone was the last good LG hand set. But I can't fiddle with trying to open the phone with a crap finger sensor. I guess that's why they are ending mobile. All their handsets had too many show stopper issues and they have not turned a profit since the G4 which is probably why they went into a downward spiral.

In my eyes, LG was one of the greatest smart phone companies i’ve ever had the experience of using, I know it’s been two years since LG shut down their smart phone division, but I’m still missing the experience I had with my LG V40 ThinQ, i’ve tried using a Samsung phone, and it’s just not the same, the UI is different, and the one UI is too bloated for my liking, with two different apps to choose from for every different function. still to this day, I think about possibly buying the LG V60 ThinQ. i’m glad at least someone is willing to give it a fair chance at being a decent phone.

Almost every Android phone device and tablet I've ever owned has been primarily manufactured by LG. They're the only comparable worldwide manufacturer of all other companies e.g. LG vs Samsung. I don't understand why many young consumers would just purchase a ridiculously highly price Samsung flagship without reviewing any of LG comparable devices. LG is a industry leader in the consumer electronics sector and e.g. LG V60 is worth every penny more than it's counterparts e.g. Samsung. It's your money, you either be an informed consumer or you can just give your money away because of trendy marketing, it's truly foolish silly. Don't get me wrong, Samsung is a quality company, but no company is perfect. Not every Samsung idea is the very best idea. Keep your options open, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Unfortunately, LG announced by year end 2022, they are discontinuing the phone device market. So, you still have time to make purchases. I viewed this LG V60 review and everything the reviewerbsad is factorially correct. In the end, the LG V60 is the best value than any other device in the market. It's your money, you can put yourself behind the financial nightfall or you could make a great quality value purchase and have a savings for something else in your life. The LG V60 doesn't disappoint, unless your a knucklehead or an ignorant moron. It's up to you !!

    1. The fingerprint scanner is atrociously bad. It doesn't work half the time and it's incredibly slow.
    2. The screen turns on all the time while on phone calls. The proximity sensor turns it off when you pull it away from your ear but turns it on when you put it to your ear.
There are several other problems with it that make it one of the worst phones out there.
