I feel like this is an instrument collection we all have been waiting for! I can't help but be thankful for the direction that you guys are taking the swam instrument collection in. I can already imagine a full-blown suite of orchestral sections, but not with the rigidity of regular sample libraries, but with all of the intricate details and deep customizability, control and precision that characterizes SWAM instruments. I can bet that Brass and Woodwind Sections are already on their way. So much more to look forward to😉)
I had a chance to actually spend some time with this collection at a friend's studio this week and I have to admit I was completely blown away. Every new instrument plugin claims to be more expressive and to sound more authentic than the last. But most sound and operate similar with little to no actual difference. This collection sounded and responded more like actual instruments than anything I've ever used before. I was so hooked I didn't want to leave. Congrats!!! You delivered in so many ways here. This is on my Christmas list now. LOL

Hello. Congratulations on release of string sections. It is exciting product I was waiting for, but it is not clear to me, how can I build section? For example I load two instances of violas section strings and how they communicate each other with room & instrument position to avoid phase effects and etc? Is Room & Instrument Position different plugin which have to be applied to each swam string section, or it is only one plugin where I can load all those strings? I can't find any info about it. Maybe short video with example will help. Another question is, can I try demo? I have in customer portal under my product a trial / evaluation section, but it is empty.
Hi, you have access to 4 plugins instruments: violins , violas, cellos and double bass. Each one has a dedicated Room Simulator that can communicate with the other instances in order to apply any edit to instruments position, room absorbing material , size and mic position. For your convenience and consistency. If you want to try the instruments contact support@audiomodeling.com to arrange a trial period.
@@AudioModeling Thanks for answer and providing a trial version. I can start testing it in evening today. But I have still some questions that I want to know. I found a manual on your site, and from manual it is it not clear to me, that there is "limited" number of players? That means there is antiphasing option for each intrument, but this option is limited to 1 - 3 (for cello) that means I can load 3 instruments playing unisono without antiphasing effect but if I want load 4th instrument (another cello for example), it will start phasing? From videos I understand it as I can load many instruments as I want and it will be done automatically. Another question is, is there possible to detune section? I mean if I load one Violin section and detune them in this order - first violin will have -5 cents 2. -2 cents 3. 3cents and 4. 5cents (for one plugin), or saing it otherwise, like detuning supersaw in synth.
Hi, the Divisi Anti Phasing option is for each section , not a single instrument. i.e the plugin instance. violas, Cellos and DB have up to 4 options. Violins 6. Regarding detuning you can apply it on master tuning menù (under Pitch parameter categories) but you can experiment more with "Player Accuracy" parameter in the home screen if you want apply a bit of randomness on several parameters.
@@AudioModeling Yes I mean section instrument not solo. Maybe I wrote it clunky way, I apologize. But there is still a question, if I reach 4 sections of cellos, I am out of antiphasing options, if I add another cello section (that means I end up with 5 cellos sections) it start phasing? That was my real question.
I truly look forward to seeing: 0.) Are there templates? 1.) How many instruments are selectable? 2.) How the multiple instrument play is managed within Cubase 3.) How they sit in other rooms such as "MIR Pro 3D"... (do they need to be housed in their own reverb space, and then have that space sit in the MIR 3D space?) 4.) Might we ever get a method to translate instruments or sounds or human pitches from humming or singing into MIDI with camelot, so we can trigger SWAM instruments?
Wow a lot of questions 😅: templates are available for customers for the main DAW as projects. When you buy the product you are going to install 4 different plugins respectively violins , violas, cellos and double basses. So you can add the track you need to build your orchestra, that works in Cubase as in any other DAW. You can select up to 6 players on a section (the number depends on the instruments types) Each plugin has a room simulator that is position simulator and reverb also. The plugins communication allows to control the room type and position from any plugin without the need to apply the same settings on each plugin instances. You can use an external spatializer also turning off the internal room simulator.

Too bad there is no trial version, we would like to try it before spending $500...
Who says there is no trial version? We do offer trials on demand. Just write to support@audiomodeling.com asking for your evaluation copy
Not "synthy" at all. If well used, SWAM will fool anyone caught off guard. To me, the only pack still lagging behind is the sax pack. And I haven't yet been convinced of pizzicato and col-legno for strings. Other than that, SWAM really got there. Congratulations.
The end of suffering ..
