I was wondering about your saxophones and think the problem is the lack of bends and glides, at least in your demos. That's why your clarinet demos sound fine!
we have been doing this since s50 / emu era and went into VL1s swam sounds little bit too close mic sounding , i kindnof hoped to hear that here but maybe next year 😊😊
how are the real string players connecting their violins to the computer to play the SWAM strings? Do the violins have some type of Audio-to-midi converters?
Hi Joel, the real players are not playing SWAM. They have been recorded as usual with acoustic instruments. Please watch the video again and get the message here: the thing is that you can place recorded instruments and SWAM instruments in the same virtual space, and match the articulations perfectly with MIDI editing to provide a super-realistic and consistent sound.
How do I turn off your reverb now? I don't need the built-in reverb, I still want to use the Mir Pro reverb, the close position of the microphone does not solve the problem, the signal still remains wet.
What? Is this a joke? For years they themselves for their "realistic" sound and now they show us this? Common. Also, they never made a side by side compression of the music with the live players and without. That's a HUGE turn off!!! Conclusion. Live players is the best.
@@laylasmartTrue but everyone doesn't have access to real musicians for a variety of reasons beyond the obvious. I believe this goes both ways where both musicians and artists can create magic in ways beyond the obvious again.
@ Exactly my point! Read the "praising" part again. And where is the compassion with and without the live Musicians? None. That means we do not know how much really swam was there in the first place. You can take a quartet and record each player for one hour playing the part at leas three times and you want need swam at all.
things to consider : 1 why wouldn't you record real violin (or any other instrument) in a good space and than reproduce it in SWAM , if it will sound close to the recorded version it will be the best sale video you can ever produce 2 why wouldn't you to combine all of your plugin into one plugin with fast loading/transition like pianoteq does.

you should use machine learning to match SWAM parameters with real performance
it's a project on our desk ;-)

Go to "Advanced," then "Room," and switch "Legacy Reverb" to ON. Then the reverb will behave like in older versions, and can be turned down to zero.
