One of my favorite things is that Kiryu took a back seat and this was more Saejima and Tanimura's story (Akiyama too to a slightly smaller extent) but he literally just shows up at the end to clean house

Honestly this fight would be so good if Munakata didn't shoot you with his infinite pistol every 5 seconds. Honestly, it ruins the entire fight. Imagine how cool it would be if you could actually fight these soldiers properly without being shot in the back whenever you try to do anything.

As much as I abhor this boss fight, the music and that feeling you get when you finally get your hands on Munakata is amazing. So goddamn satisfying. It makes the pain of getting through those annoying ass guards worth it.
-Get the upgrade where Tanimura gets Heat from parrying -Get the heat move where Tanimura attacks and grabs a parried enemy -??? -Profit; all the guards drop like flies
They reused Jingu's boss fight as it is and made it into the true final boss. Couldn't run outta any more ideas lol P.S this game was the lowest point of the series, worsened by Dead Souls (which they, fortunately, did not make it canon).
It’s so fitting that Tanimura’s final boss against Seishiro Munakata has the best version of this soundtrack, and the endurance approach for the battle, while almost as annoying as the Jingu fight, really characterized Tanimura’s resolve perfectly!

Honestly, I really don’t think it was Kiryu’s place to say that. He was 4th Chairman only for ONE night before giving it to Terada. After the Omi incident the Tojo was already fucked up and Kiryu left it to Daigo while he left to Okinawa. Kiryu really doesn’t have Chairman experience. Hell he hasn’t had a family up to this point (Still haven’t played the games after 4)
I didn't like nor bothered with Tanimura side content in the Original game he was unlikeable to me. But when the Remaster released and they brought a new actor I gave him a second chance and finished his campaign 100% I actually consider him one of my favorite character of the series, I hope he appears in Yakuza 8 it would be awesome.

Ah yes, Yakuza 4 The game that enigmatically has some of the best writing of the series while also having possibly the dumbest, most nonsense plot of the entire series I hate it, but I love it even more
Tanimura was a great character Say what you want, but I think Judgement could've easily be about him, not a random dude who's strong like Kiryu, but probably would've been beaten easily by Kiryu
I originally disliked the idea of playing as other characters, but this grew on me. I liked akiyama and saejima alot. Tanimura was okay after getting upgrades but fuck shinada's play style in yakuza 5
Shinada would be great if his combo grabs is stronger, or if they made his counter grab 100% stick. Also give him some aoe option. I really like it honestly.
His fighting style was a lot more basic than the other leads but his character for me made a lot if t back i liked how expressive the game got around him

Funny thing is, with the other boss versions of this theme, I think of the bosses more. But this theme resonates more strongly with Tanimura imo.
