RgG 4 characters were not modeled with Unreal Engine. Until RgG7, everything was made under the Dragon Engine. And regardless, it is impossible to ascertain which engine a character has been modeled with by just looking at them. It all depends on the devs' skill.

I feel like Tanimura is the main character in Yakuza 4. He has the most heroic theme and the most heroic battle, it fits his own music's name, "For Faith". Man I wish he had a spinoff.

For faith is truly a masterpiece of a theme, and goes to show the magnificence of yakuza’s music as well as hidenari Shoji’s genius. It’s able to convey so many different moods while remaining on the same theme: Akiyama’s version is light and graceful, saejima’s grimy and determined, Kiryu’s melancholic and contemplative, and Tanimura’s climactic and cathartic. The themes all communicate the characters’ personalities so well while still being awesome to listen to. Thank you for the remix🙏

the four variations of for faith is my favorite music in yakuza series, the plot of Y4 might not be the best, but the four boss fight was so hype. Y0 last fight is the evolution of legends, Y1 is the end of a twisted friendship, Y2 is the fight between two true man, Y5 is fighting for dreams, Y6 is pure explode of anger, Y7 is saving an emotional friendship. but Y4, I dont even know how to describe the last fights, but it was hyper than any others.

I can imagine this being played during a really big fight, where everyone is fighting their own battles and occasionally joining in on each others fights, causing the pieces to mix and later on everyone fighting as one bringing everything together. I love it.
Those honestly are the best kinds of fights. Where you can go from being back to back or doing crazy combo moves or flips and jumping off the backs of your comrades.
SO.. Kiryu randomly Tiger dropping any of the other 3 Akiyama coming with his meteor crush (random) Saejima with the dragon drop, skull bashing somebody into a stun Tanimura with his dragon parry

I love the four gods title you gave. It makes alot of sense when you connect these four protagonists to the animal motifs of the four heavenly beasts which are referred to as god figures in chinese mythology. Akiyama = Vermillion Bird Saejima = White Tiger Tanimura = Black Tortoise Kiryu = Azure Dragon
I mean they all have abilities named after the four divine beasts, it's pretty intentional. Two of the characters are literally named Tiger and Dragon.
This is phenomenal. For Faith is still the best theme song for any of the Yakuza games. Even in the face of some really stiff competition, it's still my absolute favorite.

I couldn't remember each protag's theme and I was listening to this without looking at the screen. But when Kiryu's part comes on, I knew immediately that it was his. The piano, the violin and the majestic feeling is only there for the Dragon alone.

I have an idea It's a tattoo inspired by 4 Gods of Kamurocho. The Vermilion Phoenix - Shun Akiyama, The White Tiger - Taiga Saejima, The Black Turtle - Masayoshi Tanimura and The Azure Dragon - Kazuma Kiryu The design is not there yet, but even I am just a koi carp, that is yet to become a dragon
I think it would be cool if in some future Yakuza game they make a reference to this song and scenario in some way, maybe seperate the party members for one phase of the fight, I think it wouldn't feel repetitive either because of how RGG is sticking to the whole turn based system instead of the real time combat because of Ichi being the protag now.

People complain about how the new Tanimura looks "generic" ( as if this series doesn't reuse animations and voice lines), but honestly I rather have this Tanimura over original's boy toy look. Also, people act like the original Tanimura didn't have wimpy and shrill sounding voice lol.
This mix has gotten me through a lot of gym sessions. It really pumps you up with all the other For Faith variants, and then when For Faith kicks in, you feel like a god. Edit: I want to keep track on my progress. Week 1: I am starting a challenge to get sub 10 mins on a 2km run while listening to this mix. Result was 12:55 mins. Week 2: Getting better. 12:05 mins Week 3: Finally got a good checkpoint, let's just say. I got 11:50 mins this week. Let's keep getting better. Week 4: I got a new record yet again. This time, I nearly got sub 11 mins with 11:04 mins. Hopefully I'll be able to break the sub 10 soon. Week 5-6: I couldn't report in on last week due to tight schedule, but I'm proud to report this time, I got my target! I finally ran 2km under 10 mins. 9:51, it was. It wasn't a long journey, but it was still painful and fun and I'm glad I could tell whoever is reading this about it.

Just beat the game a week ago, of the games I’ve played this is contender for the best. I want to 100% it however I find it difficult on reply because that ending is so amazing I really wanted to move onto 5 and see where the story goes. This game made me so hyped about the next game I don’t want to play this one, I’ve never had that happen to me! Love the characters they introduced, sub story’s are fun and entertaining and the story is awesome! Can’t wait to play 5 in 2 months.
The ending of Infinite Wealth disappointed me so much that I'm spending my time on RUclips, revisiting all my favourite Yakuza moments and videos. This mix here heals me.

Unreal Engine of Dojima, looking like a truely wise yakuza veteran, especially because of the silver hair. I can actually see this Kiryu in Sera's chairman robes.
These four men are the incarnation of badassery. Gotta love how much of a great team they make, and how believable their friendship is. Ryu ga Gotoku 4's storyline was, aside from the rubber bullet bullshit, really well done and compelling. Kinda wish it was a bit longer, though. Still, one of the best games I've tried in my 35 year as a gamer.

I love the four gods title you gave. It makes alot of sense when you connect these four protagonists to the animal motifs of the four heavenly beasts which are referred to as god figures in chinese mythology.
Akiyama = Vermillion Bird
Saejima = White Tiger
Tanimura = Black Tortoise
Kiryu = Azure Dragon
I mean they all have abilities named after the four divine beasts, it's pretty intentional. Two of the characters are literally named Tiger and Dragon.

This is phenomenal. For Faith is still the best theme song for any of the Yakuza games. Even in the face of some really stiff competition, it's still my absolute favorite.
It's this good that it landed onto Yakuza Ishin.

I couldn't remember each protag's theme and I was listening to this without looking at the screen. But when Kiryu's part comes on, I knew immediately that it was his. The piano, the violin and the majestic feeling is only there for the Dragon alone.

It's a tattoo inspired by 4 Gods of Kamurocho. The Vermilion Phoenix - Shun Akiyama, The White Tiger - Taiga Saejima, The Black Turtle - Masayoshi Tanimura and The Azure Dragon - Kazuma Kiryu
The design is not there yet, but even I am just a koi carp, that is yet to become a dragon

I know 4 probably has more issues than any other Yakuza game... but it will always be the closest to my heart. Glad you got to play it!

I wish for faith was the main song for yakuza, it's such an amazing song.
I think it would be cool if in some future Yakuza game they make a reference to this song and scenario in some way, maybe seperate the party members for one phase of the fight, I think it wouldn't feel repetitive either because of how RGG is sticking to the whole turn based system instead of the real time combat because of Ichi being the protag now.
Imagine if they gave all party members (except Eri ofc) their own final bosses. Has a high chance to not work I know, but just imagine.
Imagine a 4v4 whatever your party is, vs the Y4 crew. I think that would be fucking awesome
It wouldn't be too far fetched, since LaD's final boss (the story-wise final boss, not the mechanic-wise final boss) can only be fought with Ichiban.

My favorite version so far
People complain about how the new Tanimura looks "generic" ( as if this series doesn't reuse animations and voice lines), but honestly I rather have this Tanimura over original's boy toy look. Also, people act like the original Tanimura didn't have wimpy and shrill sounding voice lol.
Lol I don't even care anymore, if Tanimura comes back he will have his remaster look and voice which are 10 times better than the original

I know that it has 28k views as of now, but this edit/mashup is still underrated.
This mix has gotten me through a lot of gym sessions. It really pumps you up with all the other For Faith variants, and then when For Faith kicks in, you feel like a god.
Edit: I want to keep track on my progress.
Week 1: I am starting a challenge to get sub 10 mins on a 2km run while listening to this mix. Result was 12:55 mins.
Week 2: Getting better. 12:05 mins
Week 3: Finally got a good checkpoint, let's just say. I got 11:50 mins this week. Let's keep getting better.
Week 4: I got a new record yet again. This time, I nearly got sub 11 mins with 11:04 mins. Hopefully I'll be able to break the sub 10 soon.
Week 5-6: I couldn't report in on last week due to tight schedule, but I'm proud to report this time, I got my target! I finally ran 2km under 10 mins. 9:51, it was. It wasn't a long journey, but it was still painful and fun and I'm glad I could tell whoever is reading this about it.

Just beat the game a week ago, of the games I’ve played this is contender for the best. I want to 100% it however I find it difficult on reply because that ending is so amazing I really wanted to move onto 5 and see where the story goes. This game made me so hyped about the next game I don’t want to play this one, I’ve never had that happen to me! Love the characters they introduced, sub story’s are fun and entertaining and the story is awesome! Can’t wait to play 5 in 2 months.

These four men are the incarnation of badassery. Gotta love how much of a great team they make, and how believable their friendship is.
Ryu ga Gotoku 4's storyline was, aside from the rubber bullet bullshit, really well done and compelling. Kinda wish it was a bit longer, though.
Still, one of the best games I've tried in my 35 year as a gamer.
The rubber bullets don't ruin Saejima, they keep him accountable while making him being redeemable.
I dont think rubber bullet twist was as bad as Yasuko's death.
