How the turns have tabled
I read this as it happened in the video what sorcery-
A lot of transforming mobile suits have a general feel of "this isn't actually for disguise or anything similar, it's just for pointing all the thrusters in the same direction."
which makes sense they aren't exactly designing them in order to transform like a transformer would which is disguise but rather to switch the purpose of the mobile suit into something else that would give it another role like a plane for faster performance and better maneuverability as well as serving as a transport for dedicated mobile suits as a wave rider(zeta, anksha, wing, kyrios, etc.), a tank for transporting suits or as a self propelled gun platform e.a. (flauros, d50C, guncannon, etc.), and many more forms that give them differing purpose be it for marine operations where some mobile suits transform into a submarine-like craft or straight up transform into a mobile armor to wreak havoc and do the most amount of damage with the mobile suits output before transforming back into MS mode to return to base and resupply. So yeah it would make sense that their idea of turning a mobile suit into a plane would be to redirect every thruster into one direction for maximum forward thrust because if I learned anything from aviation is that even a boulder can fly if you put a jet engine on it, which is why most jets have very small wing spans albeit it would affect its turn rate since having a smaller wing span can lead to a jet being capable of only micro changes in deviation like a missile
It makes since if you need more speed since it’s aerodynamic. Although in space that shouldn’t matter since there’s no drag. Unless you’re on a planet with gravity transforming is redundant

Well done Dustin! A solid paint job! Also I personally like the Messala because in the show it was Scirroco's First mobile suit he designed while he was visiting Jupiter on the Jupitris. And because Jupiter has such a large gravity well the mobile suit was designed with huge thrusters to counteract Jupiter's gravity. Pretty cool stuff.

I like the Mobile Armor Mode, and I think it’s fine for a real robot show, just like how the Tsugomori folds up into a big plastic splinter.
Meanwhile, Planet X’s Vulcan is tempting, but I’m also curious to see how Master Mind Creations’ Trux turns out.

I'm quite fond of the alt mode of the Gaia Gundam, love the Zoid-ish look. Also the transformation on the ReZel but I do admit I like it cause it looks like a bunch of boxes taped together into a vague spaceship shape.
AGE 2 Magnum’s alt mode is odd looking, but it doesn’t have much kibble and the transformation is pretty well engineered for a High Grade

Well, according to some new "trend" I've heard recently, a transformers figure doesn't really have to actually transform anymore. Appearantly there was some comics were they didn't transform at all either... Nah, the most important thing for a Transformers figure these days, is the articulation! Never mind the logic behind a "Transformers" figure that doesn't actually transform, as long as it can pull off some stupid and impossible squid pose imitation. Go figure...

Bill O'Brien; You probably right, but Im not totally wrong either. Here's why! Im more spesificly talking about the toys at this point, so if you can, please check out one of the reviewer Bobby Skullface's latest videos labeled "Skullfest" something-something, and you'll understand better what Im talking about. The "topic" is non-transformable figures, right? They talk about how much better the non-transforming Drift (I think...?) figure is, compared to some other transforming figures, and why they would gladly sacrifice the transformation for a better posability. I don't remember the dude's name, but someone mentions a spesific comic that the characters stays in bot mode most of, if not all of the time. But you're probably correct about them using their alt modes now and then. But the "core" of my point is still, and as you can hear in that video, that some people would actually rather have a non-transformable figure instead of a transforming one. Is Spike a "transformer" too, just because he is a part of the trademarked brand "The Transformers"? Him in a exosuit doesn't count! A Transformer should transform! Other "lifeforms" such as the humans, various wildlife animals, the Quintessons, etc..., they don't count either. We're talking about the creatures "the transformers", namely the Autobots and the Decepticons. Those toy figures should transform! Its their freakin' gimmic which that they're known for, and thats my point, you see?

Something that can be done to make sure joints aren't too tight after painting is gently sanding down the connecting peg or outer ball joint. Ideally you'll want to use sandpaper so you get all around it. If you make the joint really loose, by the time you finish painting, it'll be somewhere close to normal (although possibly still a little bit tight).

If we’re talking about MS with alternate modes including ones not meant for transportation. Ironically enough, the examples I’m about to mention are from Gundam Wing despite the fact that the bad transformations you listed were from Wing. The Gundam Aesculapius and Gundam Burnlapius have alternate, Close Combat Modes which are made to resemble the Z’Gok and Hygogg respectively.

Jobby under the gundam flag is like Thanos XD. Been appearing in some previous videos and now finally jobby reveals his face under the gundam flag.
I think the ZZ Gundam has a pretty decent second form, and the master grade ver.ka has a better transformation than most official Transformer figures these days. it doesn't even really partsform.
Also, Gundam Kyrios, Gundam Arios, and Gundam Harute, as well as many of the grunt mobile suits from 00 have recognizable flight modes that aren't just gundam yoga or something...
But MG ZZ ver.ka is the best transforming gundam as far as I know. I've heard that MG Zetas just fall apart after a few transformations and are not solid at all, so ZZ ver.ka is at least double the quality.

Since its made to be able to move in Jupiter's heavy ass gravity (hence the long legs and wonky design), one kick will make it twice as powerful as a normal suit's should be
So yeah the Messala is something else
I'll always prefer the unique alternate modes in gundam like the aegis squid, baund doc crab and the harute alot more then the jet like the delta plus, wing and kyrios
Just how good the kit is, will largely depend on how old the kit is. Almost anything that’s coming out now, that isn’t a recolor or a few different parts for older kits (and those are mostly P-Bandai) have well articulated legs and arms.

On the subject of "satisfyingly tight joints," I have a trick that works well for Gunpla and toys in general. I usually tighten my joints by sandwiching little bits of paper between the socket and peg. I find very tiny, carefully cut pieces of heat shrink wire wrap work pretty well too. It takes some practice to really get things just right. Too tight and you can break it, not tight enough and the joint will stay loose, or even pop free, or both. But when you get it just right, you can pick the kit up and it just feels so SOLID.

A couple of transformable suits that I know of with solid transformations: Kyrios, Arios, and Harute, due to them being based off the same variable design. You've already done the Arios, I believe?
The Woundwort series is generally pretty good about that too-you can preorder one from the BBTS, but it is a P-bandai kit, and is more expensive than normal HGs.

I love the Flauros, but it's lazier than a beast wars transformation. You literally rotate the waist, cover the head, and pull out the arm flaps. It's a badass kit, but the "transformation" might as well not exist

To your rescue Jobby, it is decals with a long "e". Grammatically speaking, the second short vowel sound should make the first vowel long, like in mat and mate. Naturally, there are exceptions to rules and mispronounciations but, yes, it is, by rights, a long "e" sound.

My buddy and I have always wanted to build Gundam model kits and decided to finally give it a try and now we're hooked. I was ballsy and started with the HG 1/144 Gundam Unicorn 02 Banshee Norn Destroy Mode Metallic Ver. and he started with the HG 1/144 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina.

I think you outta stop telling Jobby to review Gunpla. He just doesn’t have the time to build em and it’s not like he’s the only reviewer out there. There’s people like Mecha Gaikotsu and Kakarot197 who mainly focus on Gundam-related stuff and have way more time up their sleeve.

Well Jobby does have an enormous backlog of Gunpla after all, and there are still a ton of people(who probably don’t know any other gunpla reviewer) telling him to review more Gunpla even though he doesn’t have the time to build them due to his fixed schedule of uploading videos two times a week. There is a place in my heart that still wants him to review more Gunpla since he is the reason I got into the hobby.

I already liked the look of the kit from the preview, as well as the Bandai promo images, but I like how you changed up the colour scheme and made the gold less of a smalltimer in it, while making what red was left carry more weight.

I guess your best bet would be lurking eBay or going straight for gundam action figures
Though I still suggest at least trying out a HG GunPla, building them is pretty fun. No glue needed and with adequate snappers and a hobby knife you can avoid the notorious sanding process and stressmarks. My lazy ahh built MGs this way and it doesn't look half bad and doesn't take 15 years to complete
Stickers can be stinky with the only alternative of painting, and if that's what scares you off - I completely understand. The dread of applying 5 billion waterslide decals has stalled my last build since 2019 to this day
Just get an action figure, the pose- and playability are going to be better. And you won't tear your hair after getting a scratch or a paint chip.
But some of those eBay gundamheads surely pump out stupidly impressive paintjobs.... Ugh. Pick your poison.

Hey! Don’t forget about Gundam Flauros from IBO! It is the 64 Gundam frames that fought in the calamity war and packed two Anhab reactors and was piloted by Norba Shino.It was built by Gjallahorn to stop mobile armors such as Hashmal, in which Mikazuki Augus fought in the battle for chyres. These was a lot of info that I dug up from the depths of my brain. Hope this was an educational review whom watched Iron Blooded Orphans
