Hey North Star... Let the tears flow, girl. Crying is not a sign of weakness but rather just a release of emotions. 26:56 To be overwhelmed by your accomplishments and feel humbled by the gift of a strong and healthy body is a beautiful expression of your humanness... and God's awesomeness.
Super job! The Whites are no joke and humble all of us. I am so proud of you. I hiked Mount Success last week to finish thr NH 52 With a View. There are 52 mountains on the list that are under 4000 feet with extraordinary views. From that summit, less tham a half mile, over those horrible big boards is the wreckage of a 1963 plane crash. Pretty interesting story. You have given me a lot of motivation and inspiration to hike this trail when I retire teaching, 2025, after 37 years. Happy trails!
Hey North Star... It's a good thing you're now an experienced mountain climber, because this "mountain" of having to go back to work today just a few days after Katahdin may be your most difficult mountain to climb yet. After suffering through the agony of dragging yourself back to work with no time to recover, reacclimate or even digest what you just accomplished in five months, it wouldn't be surprising if your first post-Katahdin video is called, "Why You Need Two or Three Weeks of Unscheduled Time After Katahdin." It's like taking an apple pie out of the oven when its finished being baked, but before eating it you leave it out for a while so it can cool down and allow all the flavors to come together. I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to have to go back to work today right after Katahdin, but no doubt the same resolve that powered you for five months and 2,198.4 miles will see you through it and leave us inspired once again by your strength and awed by your endurance. Praying for you during this most difficult time of adjustment.
If I could press the ‘like button’ a hundred times, it still wouldn’t express my LOVE of this video!!! Your tears were so heart felt. We know you’re in Maine now. The finish is in your grip, and you are in the grip of God. Run that race…keep the faith.
Congratulations for such a great accomplishment! You pushed thru and made it in your timeline. We started watching your adventure when we learned you were from a town not far from us; in fact, my husband sometimes races at your hometown stockcar track. I really enjoyed watching your videos, and this Summit video with the recap was especially fun to watch. My husband and I both watched it, and it made us reminisce about our daughter's thru hike in 2022 and her own summit day (Way to go Duckie)! Be proud of your perseverance and celebrate the adventure.... you did it!
Audry, celebrate !!!!!!! ur last pair of shoes !!!!!!!! sorry about the pack !! didnt remember u saying anything bout ur pack coming apart 😮!! packs usually go the distance and some. u sound n look SOOO much like a REAL thru hiker !!! congrats !!!!!😊
Audrey! It is so great to see you. I have been checking every day for your post and praying you are well and still on trail. Yay! Your the best. Thanks so much for sharing your special journey.
Happy you’re back with a new video! You’ve had an incredible journey and I’ve enjoyed watching it all unfold. It’s almost like I hiked the trail too, except I’m not as beat up! Make sure to take care of yourself and let those wounds heal. Sending all my love on your final strive to the end! Good luck!
Hey North Star... Mr. Miyagi has seen all the injuries to your arms and legs. He returns to speak to you. Here he is now: Audrey-san... Most unfortunate Audrey-san continue fall down, get hurt. Arm, leg look like hamburger. Therefore, Miyagi have humble suggestion. Hike backward on rock. That way when Audrey-san fall down, land on bottom. Bottom better suited for fall than arm, leg. Have humble proverb passed down from ancient ancestor. " He who fall the most, but get back up each time to continue on, more impressive than he who never fall at all."
Congratulations on Maine! This trail has changed your life forever. You will never be the same person again. You will be more confident, appreciate the wilderness more than ever, and be a total beast anytime you hike. This trail will always make you a better person with more compassion and caring than you ever had before no matter how much you had. It has changed your thought process and your abilities............and the best is yet to come! You got this girl, you got this! geek
Hey North Star, Preacher here. I haven't checked in for quite a while but I am following your entire trip. I am so clumsy sometimes that, if your arms and legs look like that from the Whites, I would probably look like hamburger. The Whites are beautiful. You are doing so awesome. Keep it up. Here's something to give you strength. "Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel, will I dance for you, Jesus, or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine." Thank you for being so real. Be safe and God bless.
You're so tough! Those scrapes, scratches, and bruises are a testament to your strength and resolve. You survived NH (my home state) and should be so proud of yourself!
The Presidential mountains on ward through the Whites. Blood, sweat and tears. 😢 North Star pressing on with the hive. Wildlife in the green forest mountains pretty blue skies with high winds. Long time waiting on new shoes. Thanks for sharing Audrey on your experience and views on your journey on the 2023 AT thru hike Godspeed. ✌️♥️💪🇺🇸

We are all very proud of you Audrey! It has not been easy for you on many accounts and the Whites really scrapped you up. I hope you take good care of all the cuts and scrapes, so they do not get infected and compromise the rest of your hike. Best of luck, we are all pulling for you!
Woot-woot‼️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯‼️‼️‼️Congratulations Audrey‼️And now the grande finale is about to begin‼️You have endured so much...I have enjoyed each and every one of your vlogs...what a journey‼️I know your family, friends and students are so very proud of you. You are the real deal‼️❤️

It is such an honor that we get to see your hike. Your strength and endurance will inspire every student you teach. The emotional impact of the trail is one to be thankful that it can effect you the way it does. Never be ashamed of your tears. They are a testament to what you have achieved. Hike on North Star.
NORTH STAR!!! SING GODS PRAISE HIGH ON THOSE MOUNTAINS!! YOU ARE INSPIRING SO MANY!! IM SO PROUD OF YOU AND IM ENJOYING EACH VIDEO !! MAINE HERE WE COME!!!!
I'm glad to see that you are back. You are very lucky but, its luck that you earned. Hopefully, you will get a lot more blueberries. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
North Star, so proud of your accomplishments and perseverance. You are such a good role model for your students. Stay the course. You have a good plan. Your emotions are understandable. You need a solid stretch without falling to let those legs and arms heal up. Take care.
I missed your vlog when it came out. Sorry for that. We are all proud of you. You have done an amazing job in hiking 1900 miles. That is an awesome adventure. To think about where you started, not only mileage wise, but confidence in yourself, you are an amazing person. Now I hope you are almost through the 100 mile wilderness and close to summiting Kathadin. Be safe.
Your honest emotional responses to the milestones and views are inspiring. You are as physically and spiritually strong as anyone else I've watched on the AT. Just keep on being Audrey...you're going to do just fine!!!
Cheers from a fellow Missourian who hopes to do a through-hike as well. Wow. You've gone so far. Hoping the last part of the journey is as good as the rest for you.

Awesome update! First I am so happy that you had sunny weather up on Franconia ridge👏 it is beautiful. Mt. Washington is a tough call with the weather. When Patty was young she worked in the building behind the chair lift (gondola) while in college. Fyi in Gorham the Libby House is thought to be haunted 😳. Hope you had fun and tried out the Pizza man in Gorham. Looking forward to your next update. Hope you are well. N⭐ have fun. You are all crushing it even with a few scars. 🌲👍
You have every reason to be proud of yourself. Your grit continues to amaze me. Last state....wow so much has gone on to get you there. Looking good in spite of all your bruise.
Great job over 1900, 13 states, Great video with lots of great beautiful views, some bad rocky climbing, and some bad falls 😮, so let's keep on hiking 😊
Awesome....words cannot describe this vlog ..unless you love teaching children...there is a new profession on the horizon....You have found your way into the hearts of thousands..to be sure there is a sub to start your class so you won't have to push the envelope...later
Ahh.....it's ok. You should be proud, you're a tough cookie......all those days hiking with wet feet......doubt I could do that. I guess you're probably not going to finish but, no big deal. You did not quit, just ran out of time. Great job!

May I ask what led up to those scrapes at 27:25? I hope you treated them quickly to avoid infection. 😮

My favorite place in the world. I told my daughter when I die she is to spread my ashes along the ridge. Seems like a nice place to spend eternity.
You poor thing you have a lot of scrapes and cuts, the wind is bad! Take care of them, good luck to the end!
I think the Wildcat ascent is the steepest mile on the trail
🎉👍🏼😢
You’re doing so awesome! Well done. Don’t eat too many blueberries…we did a u-pick this summer & I probably ate a quart myself. Bad things resulted. Very bad.
19:25 … Yeah, I hate when I don’t sleep well .. wake up ANNOYED & CRANKY … you got to the TOP and you let those emotions flow … Good to let it out
